Slinging the ball as well as ever, with zero Super Bowl 🏈 appearances
Nick keeps making excuses for Trevor Lawrence but keep saying Brock purdy still has to prove himself😂😂😂😂.
And Lamar is a tier 3 qb
Niners win the SB with Trevor pipe down
He doesn’t analyze the play but chooses his “guys” and argues for or against them based on agenda
So true.
Nick is as biased as they come with his takes
Keep applying that pressure hoang.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
168 touchdowns to 20 interceptions is pretty insane haha
right lol
INSANE 😂
As someone just getting into football, insane in a good way or insane in a bad way? What's the NBA equivalent of this?
@@oh-turkeybirdnba equivalent might be something like a 10-1 assist to turnover ratio
@@oh-turkeybird I would say an nba equivalent would be like having only one turnover for every 40 assists. As an example Josh Allen the quarterback for buffalo is one of the best quarterbacks in the league threw 29 touchdowns and had 18 interceptions last season so over a four year stretch Rodgers managed to throw only two more interceptions and 139 more touchdowns (Josh Allen over the last four years has thrown 137 touchdowns and 57 interceptions for reference)
Nick is harsher on Josh Allen for his turnovers, meanwhile his golden child Trevor Lawrence is leading the league with 60 turnovers in the past 3-years.
Urban Meyer is easily the worst coach in nfl history. So throw out the rookie year
Coaches aren't on the field when you turn the ball over
Notice how Nick uses TOTAL TDs but only INTs when he shows Trevor’s stats to cover up his fumbling problem?
Rodgers had a “bad” last season with the Packers but had a broken thumb on his throwing hand. But it’s never brought up. But Trevor’s injury is ALWAYS brought up.
Urban Meyer called a flee flicker underneath on 3rd and 15 on the jags own 5 yard line, worst play call I’ve ever seen that resulted ina pick haha.
The Prince is the only player Nick uses the “If he had won that game” excuse for his arguments. Anytime someone uses the same logic on Purdy, Nick’s response is “WELL HE DIDN’T. IT’S WIN OR LOSE” 🙄
When did that happen? I don't recall him ever saying that?
@@jacksonwedlock9288 Multiple times, Brou has mentioned the Browns game (where Purdy got them in position for a FG but the kicker missed it) & Nick always dismissed it as “well he lost, whatever”.
Also, in the Super Bowl, Nick has been trying to say Purdy didn’t play well. Wildes once laughed & said “He did play well”. Nick then snickers & says “I thought you were a win loss guy” 🙄
@@vincenttalley5938exactly! The only QB’s he’ll never be honest and say they’re not playing good without giving them excuses to their failures is Trevor Lawrence mahomes and now Caleb he will always defend them 😂
@vincenttalley5938 right and that's a fair argument. I'm personally not a believer in Purdy because of how stacked the 49ers are. But when does he use the excuse for the prince? Cause I don't remember that happening maybe I'm wrong though 😅
@@vincenttalley5938That is not the argument Nick used vs Purdy in the Browns game. He said they shouldn’t have been in that position to begin with. Not to mention Purdy nearly threw a hame losing pick twice on the last drive. Purdy’s turnovers is why they even needed a game winning FG.
Trevor Lawrence hasn’t had a season as good as Rodgers bad season Nick mentions once yet 😅.
Exactly 21&14 88 passer rating compared to AROD 26&12 91 passer rating in his so called “awful” year!
It’s Aaron Rodgers. He’s the best QB they have had in a decade. Even if he’s not the QB he used to be.
See you get it.
It's been 12 years since he won a conference championship game. He's lost 4 of them since then, and he'll never win another.
@aheroictaxidriver3180 you may be right, but the jets haven't even been to the playoffs since 2010.
As a Jets fan, who literally cried when we won that Rams game in 2020, because I wanted to draft Trevor Lawrence so badly, thinking he was second coming of Mahomes, I must say I'm pretty relieved he turned out to be above average, at best.
Idk I would much rather have Trevor. Wouldn't have as much dead cap from the Zach Wilson fiasco
You're right, Lawrence isn't that guy but he's a NFL level QB at the very least @@acandela1294
I would still rather have Lawrence being average then Wilson being trash. And I never wanted Wilson. That 2020 season was brutal.
@@jtalkalot19 I think anyone would prefer above average to trash, but I think what the guy is saying is it would've stung a lot worse if Lawrence was as good as the hype said he is. Instead he looks like a top 10-12 QB which is still good, but not a once in a generation player like Lawrence was talked about.
This is some hard core cope when you got Zach Wilson
Since Brady did it, everyone thinks any 40 year old can go out there and win a SB.
I don't doubt Rodgers is able to still have a great season, but the data suggests the odds are stacked against him and the Jets really need a good backup, which they don't have.
Tyrod Taylor isn't a good backup?
I'll give you Justin fields and if you count him as a backup Jacoby Brisset. Which backup besides those two are better than tyrod Taylor? He's an elite backup. He's a terrible starter but not many backups are better than him
@@PurpleMonkeyDishwasher88 Tyrod is not going to win you more than 2 or 3 games a season. If he has to start week 12 for two weeks when your playoff spot is secure, he's golden. If he has to start week 9 when you are fighting for a playoff spot, you are most likely done.
@@Mgranadosv that's the same story with any backup. If they can consistently win you games, then they would be starting somewhere in the league.
@@Mgranadosv so you think he’s a good backup or not? And if not how many backups in the NFL are better?? I’d say he’s arguably top 5 but most definitely top ten

Facts, Rodgers is my favorite player ever. I want him to shut everybody up.
Especially when the later Mcarthy years essentially came down to Rodgers does something amazing.
Weird comments about Nicks love for Trevor when this is the most tame segment probably ever on Trevor. Wildes wants to see more, Brou wants to either see more or settle on a Herbert like number, and Nick wants him either paid big or paid a Herbert like number and in the end they all agree that waiting or paying the lower number are perfectly fair.... I know in other segments he is too high on Trevor but here its perfectly fine....
Don’t pay Tua but Lawerence?? Tua better than Lawerence
not by a lot
Nick Wrong was humble before Mahomes came into the league and now he’s a “QB Guru” he should be thanking Andy Reid for finding Mahomes and thinking Jeffrey Lurie for giving Andy Reid his first job.
Andy Reid was the Iggles coach before KC. He is one of the best offensive gurus in NFL History, lol.

Lol. I call him the Mahomes marble gargler.
It's called take integrity fellas
Yes, Nick does adhere firmly to the flags he plants. In the matter of Trevor, however, his production is almost identical to Gardner Minshew (a lot more INT's for TLaw though). So far, Trevor might be an Earl or a Marquess but definitely not a Prince.@@TrashBagB
@beedubbs2107 there is no way you compared Trevor to gardener in a year he was hurt three times
You are right, I wasn't. I am comparing their careers. Completion %-Trevor 63.8, Gardner 62.2. TD/INT- Trevor 58/39, Minshew 59/24. Passer rating- Trevor 85.0, Minshew 90.2.
Nick always puts lawrence ahead of allen 😂😂
Except on his tiers. He knows better now, even if it kills him.
He did beat him twice in a row
@@slijackson353I'd say Josh Allen beat Josh Allen there in more ways than one.
This is funny. The instant Purdy stepped on an NFL field for his first game, he made "The Prince" look like a sandlot player.
He's done nothing Jimmy G hasn't done....lose to the Chiefs. The common denominator is the rest of the niner team not Brock.
If you take Lawrence's best year and Purdys only full year, Purdy has only 3 more total touchdowns and threw 3 more picks than Lawrence. yards were almost the same. Hardly making him look like a sandlot player. Especially when you factor in the talent Purdy has around him.
@@albertpierce9891 If, if, if, if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. "The Prince" is a bust no mater how you try to spin it.

Please god let Mac Jones take this starting job at some point this year. It will be the best television
AR’s last season with GB he had like 26/12. I think the jets would love to have those numbers.
Exactly. Not to mention that the team shipped off Davante Adams (at the time people were calling him the number 1 receiver in the league) and made him throw to unpolished rookies. Not first round talent rookies like Harrison Jr. True rookies not ready to start.
Stats say Lawrence is the same quality of QB as Daniel Jones and Gardner Minshew
QB A: 21-31-1 64% 11,603 yards 60 TDs 34 INTs 86.5 rating
QB B: 20-30 63.8% 11,770 yards 58 TDs 38 INTs 85.0 rating
QB C: 15-22 62.6% 9,937 yards 59 TDs 24 INTs 90.2 rating
A is Jones (first 4 seasons), B is Lawrence, C is Minshew
Bingo!
Lawrence is a more talented QB than those guys. He is going to get an extension but he shouldn't reset the market as the highest paid. I prefer Herbert over him and I don't think Herbert should have gotten an average $52 million a year with his extension. Getting $45 to $50 million for a star QB still means you're the highest paid on the team but to break that $50 million barrier at least get to a #1 seed and a biweek in the playoffs, multiple playoff wins and/or a conference championship appearance during that rookie contract. 1 playoff win and then missing the playoffs the next year is a poor resume for asking $55 to $60 million per year.

According to Nick, Trevor was good with a few games at 99qbr. Brock Purdy led the entire season! Two if you count his rookie year. 🤣

@@cheerioss-9121 "compare weapons. then look at their numbers" I guess you are saying that Trevor has weapons but since the Niners are better, that is the reason Purdy has better numbers. I mean it is not like Purdy didn't help those weapons have great numbers but I digress, lol.

Trevor Lawrence best year: 4,113yards, 25TDs, 8int - 95QBR - 66.3%
Obviously it's not a mistake to pick up the 5th year option. It absolutely would've been a mistake to give him a 5 year deal at 50+ million a year. He's gotta show he's worth it this year.
He’s not worth more than 10 million
It really seems like if Nick wasn't accountable (at least to some extent) to his co-hosts and audience, he might legitimately rank Trevor as the 2nd best QB in the NFL.
3rd, cuz
1 is maholmes
2 is his new over hyped avg qb Caleb williams....

Most under-rated QB ever. Russ Wilson most over-rated.
With a little luck Rodgers will last at LEAST five snaps this year. :D
Trevor got hurt so we have to go easy on him.
Purdy got a concussion but we have to extremely critical of him.
Mr inconsistency Nick Wright.
Bro hates Brock when there’s no reason to hate him. He’s putting up numbers no thought even possible for Mr irrelevant, is a leader, playing better than 29 other starting qb’s all the while being nothing but humble with a squeaky clean off the field life.
To be honest. 50 mil is about 14 mil too much for lawrence
I would give him $40 mil.
@@byronsmith3152really explain one reason he’s worth more than 10 million a year

Jags fan here. He showed promise the year we got into the playoffs. Last year, he was supposed to take that next step. Unfortunately, he did NOT. I will support him only for this next upcoming season. I think the team should as well. If he does not improve or even does what he did during the playoff run, they should start looking at other options. He HAS TO TAKE THAT next step this upcoming season. No excuses. Weapons and coaching will be there.
Yep. Dude hasn't thrown over 25 tds in a season yet. 17 GAMES!!! Thats insanity to me. I absolutely hated Lawrence coming out of the draft. I did not see the can't miss of him being draft pick #1. I thought he was more apt to bust than to be a top 10 QB. And if you aint top 10 whats the point. Move on and try again. This is a QB driven league. To your point, if after this season it is more of the same, draft another dude. Or make a trade for one. If able. The floor should be 4000 yards 30 td's 12 interception and close to a 95 QB rating. You won't win much without that. I am a Vikes fan and even i think and thought Cousins was trash before we signed him. And during his time here. So even at the same time stats don't always mean everything. He was fluff stats and could not win games against teams .500 or better or win primetime games. Horrific record in both instances. The only season he managed to do both was the flukey year 2 years ago we went 13-3 cause we had a ton of favorable bounces. Like fumbles or this or that. We easily could have lost 5 more games that year. But now he is gone so now i can watch the Vikes again since i did not want to put myself through that fraud show.
@@WheresWaldo05 i agree. My buddies even took him for fantasy because it seemed he was going to have a crazy season last year because he finally got a good coach and 1 good year in a real system under his belt. Sadly, nope. I don’t understand how you cannot control turning the ball over. You HAVE GOT TO have learned that by now, the very least. Of course, injuries do not help but there has been plenty of times where we needed a big play and he was not able to come thru. Honestly, love the guy but don’t see him figuring it out soon. I was probably the only one optimistic that we would be in playoffs when we did make em but now im pessimistic on if he should be our QB moving forward. Maybe he proves me wrong this season and I’m a believer again. I think we have enough weapons now (even better than last 2 seasons) on both sides to be competitive.
If Nick would flip his stance on Lawrence and Purdy, he would be the #1 sports pundit in American.
lol Lawrence is better than purdy. You put Kirk cousins in the 49ers team and they go 16-1 and win the superbowl. Held back by purdy

@@TheCephalonwhat was one thing by purdy which held them back from winning the superbowl

He couldn’t make throws when pressure got to him. He’s an above average qb(6-12 range, depending on your flavour), but doesn’t consistently make game changing plays like an elite qb. They didn’t lose the Super Bowl because of Purdy, but when the chips were on the table there was a clear gap between him and Mahomes (not a slight at all).
The Sanders very mid comment killed me🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm with Brou and Wildes. Definitely would wait to pay him. Overpaying by a little later is highly preferable to being stuck with a QB that isn't a franchise QB.
Josh Allen had a UCL injury that forced brock purdy into surgery (no slight to him) and Nick does the Josh Allen rollercoaster. Trevor Lawrence has a middling career up to now and the word injury can’t get out of his mouth hast enough. It’s really wild.

Nick getting called out on loudly proclaiming fake stats to try to be authoritative... Typical
Nick keeps saying he played poorly in 2022, and yet never actual post his stats. He was 7th in the NfL in TDs, and 11th in yards, with no Devante Adams, MVS, etc Sammy Watkins, Lazard and 2 rookies who are still struggling post Rodgers.
- Tom Brady set the bar for 40 year olds that nobody will achieve. Aaron Rodgers just needs to be competent
-Trevor Lawerence was injured towards the end of the season which counted towards why he didn’t get an extension. the Jaguars were a dumpsterfire organization when Trevor got there, remember that.
Excuses he’s just overrated
Brady was bad from age 38 on..( by his standards) he was just avg by the nfls........dude got carried in the super bowl with 150 yards passing the rb ran for more years (165ish)..
Ppl need to stop this
Nick had somewhat of a Freudian slip of a comparison at the end there....he views Tua as average but that's who he compares to Trevor lol
If Rogers has a season anything like that, the Jets are going to the Superbowl. But it's pretty unlikely.
So it's good they got Olu in the draft for the next guy. But then the Jets are going to have the best running game in football with Hall and Allen and a vastly improved OL, so Rogers doesn't need to go crazy for them to get into the post-season.
What’s hilarious is that every argument Nick made about Trevor playing hurt and how it clearly affected him and his production is to a tea what happened to jalen hurts last season but Nick still thinks he’s a mid QB💀
52 starts, 74 TD's, 65 turnovers.
Simple stats for simple minds
That’s not even close to Purdys numbers and Nick says he is fair, 🙄
Here's a crazy idea: What if all contracts were incentive based? Meaning you do "X" during the season and we'll pay you "Y"
Because of the salary cap.... if all players preformed well you could pay more than the cap allows
@@aaronclay4665 the cap has nothing to do with it. Let's say they could pay the QB up to $60mil a year under the cap, but they give him a contract that pays $40mil or less and include incentives that way will take it up to $60mil based on milestones he completes during the season. Instead of just giving him $60mil a year before the season even starts. This was just an example but do you understand now?
The cap isn't just a high end cap. There is a MINIMUM salary per team Under your suggestion, many teams would fail to meet the minimum salary requirement.
@@albertdraves7584 this can be remedied by increasing roster size and every contract wouldn't have the money disparity as in my example above. That was just to present the general idea. There have already been requests for increase in roster size in the past. More players per team means more depth, which hopefully could lead to less injuries and maybe even more games in the season.
Players Union would not go for that entirely. Injuries happen far too often in the NFL.
He was not the Gatorade player of the year for the 1000th time

I do find it interesting that everyone in the media conveniently forgets that Rodgers played over half of 2022 with a broken thumb on his throwing hand and Allen lazard as his best wr and still put up 26 td to 12 int with a 90+ passer rating. He wasn't good by Rodgers standards, but for some teams (bears and jets) that would have been one of the greatest seasons by a QB in franchise history.
