Great review. I thought they might have cancelled the show but one good thing about Amazon is they've never cancelled a show once they start. They've even rescued shows like the Expanse and American Rust so they've given them a second a life.
Amazon have cancelled plenty of shows, including The Expanse season 6 due to budget blowouts & cast controversy.
The novel series has another two books past the TV series...
@@PeterKnagge they already said they will bring the show back down the line to cover the future books
Man, I love Lost!!
Been waiting for this too long.
So have I
The Leftovers and Dark showed the advantages of contained 3 season mystery box shows. A tight narrative with consistent pacing throughout. Lacking the event series hype I have a hard time seeing the sustainability of a slow burning story that isn't backed up by the cable network planning of traditional tv shows. But I guess "time will tell."
Thank you!👍👍👍
All this season did was make me want to find a hole and jump into it.....and hope its 2026 on the otherside. 😂😂
Man I was locked in, I agree that this season left me saying the same thing......"man they better renew this"... but I did like some of the rules to this world expanded to multiple people and really caps off season 1 well.
“We ate pancreas!”
...also I think this season is telling us that time is all happening at the same time and only the moment we are experiencing is our reality. Nothing is permanent and all the deaths and crazy events can be rewritten...maybe Amy's true good side can persuade "Autumn " to do whats right or...maybe none of it matters
Love your stuff. Thank you!
Loved this second season. The only thing I can’t understand is how no one was physically upset about Amy. They talked about it, mentioned it once in a while. Even before they knew what happened they were just like “oh yeah, Amy’s gone” 🤷🏼♂️
Awesome
SPOILERS
I LOVE this Show! I WANTED JOY TO STAY IN THE “PAST” more episodes! That shit was EPIC !!
I think they missed an opportunity when Joy went into teepee land to have the Indians reveal a narrative concerning the black dust and the hole. Instead they just used it as more illustrations how "white man bad- everyone else good which probably was part of "woke" checklist that needed meeting
@@jsigur157 I'm more concerned with why didn't the injuns notice Joys modern Glock pistol? On a side not Joy carries a metal extra mag next to her cuff case. Glocks use polymer mags, they ain't metal!
I dug it, but having to wait a few years left me trying to remember the details of the first season.
complicated shows need to be rewatched for best results getting into the next season and that should happen a month or less before
thank you 🙂
I loved Season 2
outer range is back?!?!?!?
Friday 🤘
Yeah their advertising isn't the best I'd say.
@@picvegita I feel like no one advertises anymore unless it's random social media stuff.
I hear about Netflix shows getting cancelled and I'm like, I didn't even know that show existed!
You weren’t counting down the days to May 16th. ??!!! YESSS ITS BACK
I like how he says slight spoilers then proceeds to spoil every bit of the first season lol
Yeah, cause its a season 2 review. why would you watch that without watching season 1?
I'm still trying to find out if the entire show is worth watching or not. Every channel has spoiler reviews for either season & immediately describe the plot without saying anything about the production & acting.
@@PeterKnagge Why would you not just start watching?
@@jsigur157 wait a minute, what's the main job of a review critic?? To describe/spoil the plot or say whether the show is worth watching or not?? Sorry not sorry for having a life!
@@PeterKnagge I came here to get comparisons to what I thought and perhaps add my two cents
I love the cast...Royal, CeCe, Autumn...but i think i like Luke's character the most! I identify with him eventho the others are so good-hearted and i want them to prevail, i also want luke to find purpose
Great video, my friend
I also review horror movies
I like your style, Keep it up 🙌🏻
P.S just subed 🤘🏻
Actually your take that a weekly release would have people less engaged is totally stupid, best example is attack on titan. especially mystery shows thrive from cliffhangers and the more time you spent thinking about it and it makes you want to watch the next episode as soon as it airs. Also if shows get binged they will be forgotten faster, weekly releases bring weekly engagement on Twitter etc. Instead of a single engagement once.
You could say the same for your youtube, obviously you would have more engagement if you would release a weekly review for weekly episodes. Now you have that one video only
I completely understand dropping episodes weekly. Fallout and The Boys are perfect examples of this. The difference is that this is not a big IP like those are. The narrative and events work better as a show that you can watch multiple episodes and immerse yourself in the story. Plus even though it is streaming, this show might get lost with other series premiering, once the Boys starts or rings of power, the viewership could go down or be overshadowed.
The big disagreement I have with your statement is.....Chris always does season reviews anyway. Whether there weekly or binge series. And he definitely isn't hurting on content.
Most shows are better binge watching. I didn't get into Many of the best shows like "'breaking 'bad" until many seasons in and was able to go deep into the story because of binge watching. I would think binge watching might be frustrating for the ppl that make the show since you don't live the drama out for 8 weeks when its one episode a week. I think a good compromise is 3 hour installments
I know Josh Brolin is kind of the main draw to this show, but can we take a moment to talk about Imogen Poots. She's knocking it out of the park with her role as an unhinged multilayered character that I'm honestly most intrigued by when I watch the show.
She is EXCELLENT! Royal is a straight-forward type of character... but Autumn is a total wildcard!
I honestly am pretty good about predicting what will or won’t be cancelled. I completely missed on this one. It seemed too nebulous and too much behind the scene drama. I was surprised when it was renewed. I’m glad though. I thought it was a interesting story if wholly incomplete
I fast forward thru every single singing scene😂 I could absolutely do without those. It’s ridiculous. Pointless really. We are watching outer range, not a broadway musical. 😂 but I enjoyed season overall. My favorite part was seeing the Native American scenes of the last. Amazing
I can see that with repeat watching but I actually hardly noticed the singing
The only useless character arc or story line was definitely Perry's. He left his family to fend for themselves. When he is the one that causes the mess in the first place. Now I don't know what his purpose is anymore. They could easily never show him again and the story would not be impacted what so ever. Especially since Amy is no longer in the original time line anyway. And Rebecca only left cause Cecilia told her to leave for have an affair with Lewis. Other than that. Great season. Hope season 3 gets picked up.
They released all 7 episodes because they knew no one would finish the stupid season.
You really are alone……
To me the show was doing ok, I am not a big fan of time involvement because it makes for lazy writers. Their plot armor is +100 when they can simply write a new time piece to cover it up. When future Perry didn't disappear when watching older Perry die. That was it for me, I'm out.
I loved lost until it turned into a big pile of caca, i could see the same thing happening to this show, If it does, I quit watching everything
(Lost was the show that started all modern tv…. To suffer its fate would be tragic)
I'm really scared about the royal has to stop autumn plotline that was hinted at, i hope there will be more to it. But until now it's phenomenal.
Shows do better if they are totally mapped out from beginning to end and don't make up as they go along. Game of Thrones fell apart when the show passed the writer . This show is in danger of losing its mojo if they don't get more discipline in the storyline
@@jsigur157 agree of they don’t explain what’s going on with Preston or advance the plot and just pile on more question in season 3, it’s done
