I just planted 5 different lettuces in a fabric pot on my back patio a few days ago. Soon I'll be planting up a pot of bok choy, spinach and possibly peas too. So I'll have a salad pot and a stir fry pot! 😁

Ok I'll be growing lettuce hydroponic this winter. Definitely the easiest and cheapest way for me especially using a pool noodle. I grew organic and hydroponic last year. Worm castings are the best.

@@CaliKim29 drill a 2" hole and cut around 1" thick piece of pool noodle. Germinate in soil then move to pool noodle filling the hole in the center with a chunk of the foam. There will be enough nutrients for the entire grow if in a gallon container. I personally didn't notice a difference in flavor compared to organic.

@@CaliKim29 yes, the temp is still warm here in Lebanon, sometimes it reaches 27-28 degree C. in the daytime,... at night the temps is cooler... Moreover, I'm using my garden soil mixed with some compost, I'm using this mix to start my seeds.

This is a first: my arugula seedling bolted!! It’s about an inch tall and it went to seed! Can anyone explain this?

I started some lettuce seeds here, but the results are not so good. Germination rate is low , i don't know why 😔
