FUN FACT: The alternator wiring connector and the mass air flow sensor connector are the EXACT same design connector and can be fitted to either one with no problem! Ask me how I know? When you take them off for this job, they both lay in the engine bay right next to one another. Viewer at home: You've been warned.

Do not put the actual plastic-handled dipstick in until you've finished putting the air box in. Especially if you replaced the rubber intake hoses and they're still a little stiff. You'll end up snapping that brittle plastic handle off fighting that air box. Never install the dipstick on BMWs or Volvos until you are done.

What mechanic do you know starts working from the bottom compared to working on the top why didn't he just take out the throttle body to take out

Asked the same, maybe he wanted to check the bmw engine bay out who knows I sometimes do that. But for informational video I’d just change that. He took too much off I can do it without removing so much easily to be honest

When you remove battery and let idle for 5 min should be fine, make sure you remove battery before starting the job though!

  • @familygunsandrides....8024

Its kinda of fun how no one says nothing about reprogram the new throttle body . Everyone just says on CZcams, just replace part and your ready 🙂 to go.....🤔 Interesting.....

When you disconnect battery and turn on let it idle most cars relearn after 5 min. Now if you don’t take off battery you may have stored a code and rendered that technique useless.

The boot was already off the throttle body. Waste of a video getting the boot off is the hardest part. 90% of the time you have to cut it off because you can't get access to the screws holding the clamps on.
