I’ve tied many and they are my most productive beetle pattern by far. Size 12 does it every time. Wow! I had no idea. Thank you Cheech and MaMa Cheech. You should call that the UnsinkaBubba.
Awesome pattern!!
What an awsome beetle thanks for the video now I can tie an awsome pattern love it
Great looking beetle, love the eyes, awesome segmentation. btw Cheech you're a good son!
I have a tip for flush cutting foam and anything else that you don’t want to have sticking out. I purchased some Revlon cuticle trimmers. The are very sharp cutters that you can push down into or onto the fly surface and cut the material off perfectly flush. They work because of the orientation of, and a flat surface on the cutting head/jaws. Google them and you’ll see what I’m trying to describe. They will cut foam, medallion sheeting and everything in between.
What is your favorite Dry Dropper fly?
wooly worm or zugbug
Do you guys sell all of the flies you've demonstrated tying here?
Not all of them. We sell the smaller versions of the Unsinkabeetle on store.flyfishfood.com though.
Thumbs up for fly tying moms 👍
