There perspective: a random slime emerges after their previous god (veldora) disappeared randomly, the slime has a massive aura and then he names you literally evolving your state of being, then he kills the orc lord and finally a primordial joins him when he becomes a demon lord, and in the eyes of the primordial he is also god. That was the view of the goblins, the view of diablo is this: back when he first met Shizu he was unable to harm the mask then eventually he sees rimuru with the mask and the mask is cracked meaning rimuru had such power as to crack the mask diablo was unable to, he then follows after rimuru by being summoned to repay his favor to Shizu and to find out how rimuru cracked the mask
@@RandomNulls I slight correction. Diablo lost a hand trying to attack that mask. He in fact know exactly why that mask the way it is. It was an item that exist beyond space and time due to a whole difference shenanigans. Diablo as his nature understand the mask belong to someone that go beyond space and time at some point other point in time be it future or past. So he basically follow that mask to Rimuru

Fun way to think about it: Raphael is the regrets of his previous life, Beelzebuth is his desire to live a more fulfilling life in this one, Veldora is his bond formed with Veldora and Uriel is his bond formed with his nation and family.
This is why this anime will probably be one of, if not THE best anime I've ever seen.
- Incredible art work that makes for completely mind blowing fight scenes.
- Ridiculous power only to be even stronger and still being humble and knowing when he doesn't need to fight.
- Cute anime girls and in my opinion still not being a harem.
- And it's an isekai so... ye.

I thought that scene was great! I haven't gone down the dragon ball wormhole yet but I get some of the references and in other anime they get close to actualy saying the words but the never do. Slime just comes out and has the weeb in training Veldora just blurt it out with an equivalent spell being cast.

Rimuru is not only OP, but incredibly smart and calculating as well. I read Veldora's comentaries in the manga through his "journal" when he was still inside Rimuru's stomach, and my fave is his thoughts about Rimuru's megiddo. In the anime, you don't really see the mechanics behind it but when I read that part, I knew that we were just scratching at the surface of Rimuru's power
Every skill rimuru uses feels like an ultimate skill
because they are affected by ultimate skills.
Rimuru has such an easy time handling all the mind blowing skills, Raphael on the other hand works herself to the bone activating adjusting power type intensity and fine tuning each skill so nothing goes wrong.
Raphael is not another being... Its like a constuct in rimuru's subconscious mind that works on what rimuru wants when he is preoccupied with what he wants. Just like your subcionscious mind handles driving your car when you are at its driver seat and talking over a phone while riding.

Raphael is a skill but due to evolving she has earned an "ego" (there's other skills in the anime that has this too just not as explicitly explained like in the novel). She's not an "individual being" essentially nor is she tied with Shizu's soul.
Uriel's Absolute Defense also separates the space between both sides of the barriers. A handfull of attacks can still break Absolute Defense, but after that Raphael can analize the new attack and modify Uriel so it also protects against it, so no attack will work against Rimuru twice

Its not that its 1 million seconds but that his base thought process speeds are amplified by a million times. Which obviously scales to his activation/casting speed as well.

Also remember the fact that Rimiru can actually fight Milim and had a chance at winning. Like Guy said, just the chance to beat him made Leon strong. That quote can be put with Milim and Rimiru.
It's almost poetic how the thing Rimuru values most (the citizens of Jura) became an incredible source of strength for him, and also how that same strength benefited those connected to him as well.
There's only one who he values more than any other, Veldora, and in the future someone else too.

Reading the Light Novel, what made me realize that Wisdom King Raphael is so OP because it is partnered with Beelbezub. Beelzebub furthers amplify the abilities of Raphael, making it more OP, and Raphael managing Beelzebub to utilize its utmost potential. No wonder Rimuru is so OP

The virtue skills has will, but aren't naturally conscious and fully independent.Michael is the first of them that gained sentience while he's in Rudra. Ciel (and also Chronoa ,Chloe's time spirit) is the only known conscious Theosophical Core and they was created when they are named by Rimuru and Chloe respectively
My guess is that when an ultimate skill develop at least an ego, giving it a name will evolve it into a Manas, creating a second soul conciousness detached from the owner's mind

This is not said in the books, but I think was left to be understood. There is 2 ultimate ultimate skills. Raphael and Michael. Raphael was lost in history, I forget how. Michael is an absolute and omnipotent barrier. Something that can not be overcome. But there has to be the best. The 1st among equals. And I believe Mikami was given great sage and gluttony, because ancient an ultimate unique Raphael judged that good, in order to overcome Michael. And the actual god was born. The 3 great demons hint at this from time to time. Like Guy said before the Valpurgis something like "Milim is a blockhead, but she's suprisingly perceptive, maybe she's thinking the same as I" when talking about befriending and newbie Demonlord. What was Guy thinking? Was left to imagination. Why did Milim befriend Rimuru? Because of cake? Perhaps an understandable reason, but it was propably a lot deeper than that. Like Veldora said in the final book? "Reasons deeper than all of the oceans." Veldora, who got the ultimate skill Faust, what can investigate the ultimate truth.

@@StevenJones851 No it takes longer than people think to develop these projects. Besides they wouldn't go straight to producing S3. They have other IP and creative urges. Besides that could lead to burn out.
IF it we get S3 don't expect early to mid 2022. Unless another studio immediately picks it up, which I highly doubt. Especially with how much S2 Part 2 was outsourced.

Probably, that would be sooo funny and since technically rimuru holds veldoras soul veldora is a servant who cannot defy him in anyway which I think would stop someone powerful to take control of veldora (as in what clayman tried to do with milim)

He can shapesift even before meeting rimuru ( he didn't learn it before because he was not interesed ) he is a spiritual lifeform and as a spiritual lifeform he can take whatever form he want

He could actually do that even without, he just didn't. It's how his siblings all have human forms. All spiritual beings can modify their forms since they're not really *physical* per se.
I REALLY want to see "How strong are Rimuru's subordinates" (specifically benimaru and gobuta which are really hard to scale) mainly because the world of tensura is so chalk full of strong fighters its hard sometimes to power scale the characters we know and love

The 3 clowns are rated at demon lord seed with the one who keeps losing limbs being the strongest of the 3, now when comparing them just remember that they can't be physically killed, only through harming their soul can they be killed, should their physical body die, they can just inhabit a new one

Well Benimaru is definitely stronger than Calyman Frey and Carrion, I would say low-mid S Class
Shion is also up there -> her Unique Skill is just broken even Raphael fears it (or at least what it could become)
the rest aside from diablo of course is Special A or lower (maybe)
BUT:
Tensura is really hard to scale because
- most in the world (in Universe) dont even know that the difference between A Rank (reasonable archivable for humans) and S Rank is astronomical (I would say more than 100 the diff of A to F)
- even Rimuru and most other Characters dont scale right cause the auther wants to hide the strength of certain Characters (is worth it -> LN VOL 14-15 hust) and casue it makes sense that they dont when you can conceal your skills and aura
-the stronger they become it is more and more down to is the opponent a good match -> rock paper scissors thing | except Rimuru cause he will just learn mid fight to deal with it
Edit: oh and Rimuru is probably already Special S, because of things i dont want to spoil...its just 4 Ultimate is KIND of rare xD -> jsut dont think what that means for Milim and Guy

it's a shame we'll have to wait YEARS before we see the LN content. This show/novel is so damn excellent it should be ongoing. I don't want to spoil anyone but the stuff happening right now in the anime barely scratches the surface of what this story becomes.
You have legitimately hyped me up! I've been predominantly anime only and cannot wait to delve into the light novels. I've heard the worldbuilding and story development is phenomenal in the source material.

This author does a tremendous job world building . it's really done well . it's a shame the manga is only once a month. I wish this show would go ongoing like one piece

Personally I preferred the WN version "Covenant King Uriel" over "Uriel Lord of Vows"
Rimiru obtained this because of the faith and trust his subordinates had in him. This skill was basically about defense and such all sorts of shield and barrier abilities would fall under its jurisdiction thus making them easier to use. The Food Chain ability was still part of the Skills too though.
Its actually called Covenant King Uriel (or King of Covenant or Uriel, King of Covenant) in LN too.
Lord of Vows is the YenPress translation. Its not completely accurate to the katakana, romaji, or even kanji.
A good way to tell someone is YenPress translated is use of "Lord" over "King" .
My guess is that they wanted all four skills to start with "lord" cause it sounds nice

It is not like Rimuru can't fight without Raphael, there is just no need. In terms of ability without Raphael he does meet the same standards as young generation of Demons Lord thanks to Milim and her training.
Raphael as a skill is quite unique even compared to most others Ultimate skills (more hinted in the LN than in the anime, but basically the actions Great Sage/Raphael did were not smth that a skill should be able to do), which makes it perfect for Rimuru as it can adapt to his inner needs instantly. Due to that his efficiency of doing things is set to a maximum level, like Rimuru only needs to start the magic/skill/movement and Raphael instantly tweaks everything in the best possible way and according to his desire.
Due to that he actually heavily relies on the skill when he fights, and actually it is a must have against monsters like Guy or Milim.

No. Slime's episode 11 was kinda average this week. The studio animated the story with too many repeating scenes, wasting time scenes and not much content scenes since this second cour started. Just when the pace was increasing, for eg, last week's episode was great and we got them starting to fight Clayman's subordinates. So it was supposed to continue this week.
Instead what we got is comic relief Veldora, a true dragon who was supposed to battle a dragonoid, they only showed his moves from manga and not their actual battle! That pissed me off. Also, just like with Middray vs Gabiru and Suphia, the battle of Shion vs Clayman has SO MUCH OF TALKING AND NOT FIGHTING ITSELF 🤦🏻♂️ Again this irritated me. I was thinking why they were dragging the series at the start of S2P2, it was supposed to be for a great climax. They yet AGAIN broke the pace and slowed it down. The episode felt "out of place".
Like, out of nowhere Ranga is not fighting the 3 tails fox and instead notices her calling for help. What were they doing before that?! Should've shown us. They've been saving money and dragging the episode for nothing since this cour began!
So basically we can see Veldora's spirit form as a virtual reality game character where the real player is inside Rimuru, and if the spirit form dies he can just respawn another.
well "AniNews" made a mistake, a true dragons like veldora revive / come back to life after death is natural , the problem is when he dies and comes back to life he lose all his previous memories like he will not know anything abouts who's rimuru is, rimuru skill Soul Corridor simply make a soul link between the two and serve as back up for "only" veldora's memories ,veldora soul(spirit) is not inside rimuru, but inside that enhanced clone(in the manga rimuru was surprised bcz veldora lost his physical body but veldora said he got rid of it bcz there wasn't much room or something like that) so u can say that the moment veldora spirit left rimuru there was not a single skill /link between the two(except the naming relation)however the moment veldora entered rimuru clone, remuru got that veldora ultimate skill

Funny thing, the 3 of them all handle the main problem in isekais of the MC being OP in their own ways. Rimuru is probably the most powerful being in his verse, but he tries to solve his problems through democracy and not violence. Konosuba goes for an extremely direct approach, simply making the characters quite weak with only like 1 thing that makes them powerful, so in 99% of cases they get their butts kicked, but through clever use of their strengths and after some comedy to fit the genre, they can still do feats appropriate for isekai protagonists. Lastly, Gwain Saga’s Geo is probably the opposite to the Konosuba gang: Very powerful with one weakness that gets exploited constantly, contrary to very weak with a few skills that get used to their limits. Furthermore, Geo isn’t all-powerful when it comes to physical prowess; in 005 he gets demolished without the use of magic (mostly, kinda).
It’s almost poetic how the 3 best isekais serve as role models for all others in their own unique ways, and sorry for the wall of text
Let's not forget that as the series continues Rimuru both gets new subordinates and all of his subordinates work hard to advance themselves, giving Rimuru new skills constantly. Even Ultimate Skills. Luckily it doesn't count Humans since Masayuki's Unique Skill would just make him even MORE insane.
If Rimuru got Masayuki's skill it would be just nightmare for him. The things are bad enough with the Rimuruists.

food chain, ability adjust, and isolate form a positive feedback loop, ability adjust strengthens his subordinates, food chain gives Rimmuru access to them to form new skills for himself, but if they are unnecessary/obsolete isolate breaks them down into magical energy giving Rimmuru a larger magicule reserve which allows him to continue naming subordinates without the normal downsides, which adds them to his food chain allowing Raphael to boost their abilities giving Rimmuru access to them to create MORE skills or recycle them into energy.

When he Awakened Ultima, Testarrosa and Carerra... All demons under them evolved... All their skills upgraded... It made a power loop back to Rimuru when he did that... With that Rimuru easily subdued Veldora and Velzard.
I think the Veldora skill had a lot to do with using a replication as his new body. As he was inhabiting it, the link back to Rimuru was never cut, and after the remnants were analyzed Rimuru (Raphael) became capable of connecting directly.
thanks for mentioning how those sacrificed unique skills were basically folded into ultimate skills and they technically still exist. i was worried Great Sage/Raphael had 'nerfed' Rimuru during the DL Evol/Harvest Festival! :D

The Veldora explanation was wrong, in that Veldora's soul stays in Rimuru and doesn't leave in the summoned copies which is why Rimuru created a body for Veldora to inhabit the first time that Veldora came out. They explain in the WN that Veldora could come out and lose that immortality if he wanted to create his own body or if Rimuru died he would be able to come out and remake his body too.
Yes, the Storm Dragon skill only stays so long as Veldora keeps his soul in Rimuru, but why would he want to lose the extra layer of immortality that his friend is giving him?

@@Asinatorsdaughter ah spoliers for book 17 near 175, he had the energy and body of veldora broken off from the soul corridor but the nuclei of veldora's soul was still inside. So, the skill was attached to the soul fragments he had still stored inside him while the memories that had occurred since the split were in the body and energy. Theoretically if veldora's energy and body were eradicated Rimuru would have been able to feed the soul fragments inside him energy to regrow veldora to be whole but missing the memories of what happened after the cut happened.

Off topic but i love season 2. I read the WN version and the walpurgis arc was way different. It had the same outcome but different execution. It's like watching the same story but a parallel world at the same time.
It helps since the whole anime follows Light Novel. A lot of things changed starting from Shizu.
I suggest reading the LN. Thats the official story. Manga and any animation will be based off that. WN is like a draft story... Author may or may not keep it the same in the official story/LN.

@@Uhgothopt If you don't want the spoilers, then I'd still recommend to read the LN up to the point the anime ended, since the LN provides much more details. With the end of season 2, LN volumes 1 to 6 are adapted now, so these are safe to read. I love both anime and LN but they are very different mediums with very different strengths. Anime has animation and effects, while the LN as a book can go deeper into the details.

Some things I came to the realization of and found interesting are that 1) Spatial Domination is essentially creating a pathway through Non-Euclidean space and 2) Unlimited Imprisonment is creating a space in a 4th dimension that traps the target, meaning that a being capable of utilizing said 4th dimension could escape with relative ease as it can understand what is trapping it whereas other beings can't.
IF what the said is right and Unlimited Imprisonment is based on complez numbers, the only way to escape Unlimited Imprisonment would be know how to use Unlimited Imprisonment and then cast it yourself as complex number into complex number gives a real number

AniNews, I need to tell you I like your videos so much. Your presentation is easy to follow, it is well thought out. I read almost all of info on slime wiki, but with your explations I am able to get better understanding of slimeverse. It is nice to see in-depth analysis, where you know what get from where and when, and why. Example from your video is which subskill came from evolution, which from merging/analysis of sacrificed skills and how they changed. I have analytical mind myself, so I really appreciate that level of details.
Deviating a little from the topic, it is funny, that with more power Rimuru is making more excuses to not see the obvious. The best example is from last episode, when he was shocked about Carrion and Milim. To make it more funny Veldora, Raphael and Shion was trying to tell him everything, but he was just "nahhh, it would be too obvious, it is definitely not true" :D.
Nonetheless at the end I just wanna say: keep good work and can't wait for new video :)

But if anything were ever to go wrong with the active server, another one of its clones would take over for services requested by the employee

In the world of tensura very few individuals actually has an ultimate skill . An individual to posses 2 ultimate skills is very very rare.
For rimuru to possess 4 ultimate skill so quickly was what i can call exception or almost impossible for any one else to pull of
