Something I just remembered and then went back to check. When Rimiru first met Veldora, Veldora referred to Rimiru as a 'unique' being. A creature that has unique qualities. Ep 1 of the anime series.

Normally, even A-ranked monsters like the Tempest Serpent are unable to come close to Veldora's Dragon Aura. So, Veldora felt Rimuru was very special, and later on, he discovered the Great Sage, a skill with self-awareness.

I think Veldenava wanted to reincarnate in a way where he truly couldnt remember anything and that's how rimaru was created. Ciel and Luciel are too close for me to not be a coincidence

rimuru being veldanava and lucia would make sense, as rimuru and ciel have a close relationship and ciel could be the equivalent to lucia and rimuru himself being veldanava. But since both veldanava and lucia are both in the same body that could also explain how rimuru doesn't have a clear gender.

Web novel u can just check the slime wiki website and there is a link. Yet I think the translation is not that good. Rimuru in the web novel is much more stronger than in LN. a true god feeling there.
You can say Ciel is Lucia and Rimuru is Veldanava. This is a plan provision by the Voice of the World giving leeway for Veldanava his creator. Because even now I was still confused why does the voice of the world appears on Earth talking to the dying Satoru and also why does Voice of the World give Rimuru Great Sage which will evolve into Lord of Wisdom which is Lucia's Ultimate Skill.

Its always hinted that rimuru is veldanava, veldora hinted at it and milim i think. imo i think veldanava after dying went to another world with no memories and all his skills dormant so he could truly live a normal life. Then he dies again and his skills activate sending him back to his original world as saturo a slime. And veldora cave is probably the only place with so much magiculs that could handle receiving that type of energy to transport souls from differrnt realities. Velgryn in the WN traveled to our world too

There seems to be an afterlife and my guess he's there with his wife. However part of him is connected to the World system (maybe like a split off part of himself, the author kinda likes that stuff) and Rimuru is just someone he likes/has great interest in like Guy and Rudra.
At best we may get a secret message or a triggered technique that will have Veldanava appear as a closer.

About that question of how Rimuru's soul having sufficient affinity for the dragon factor. It might have something to do about the fact that rimuru devoured veldoura's body and that might be the reason for his affinity.
Well, possibly, but I think it’s something to do with the slime. I mean, there must be a reason to choose to reincarnate as a slime, but not other things. And maybe slime form is a better way to accept dragon factors and not detected by the Voice of the World, in this case, the god can revive. Pure guessing tho😂

I’d argue the most likely outcome being him having nothing to do with veldenava, it’s entire possible that because veldenava created the voice of the world to do his job it actually thinks there’s always supposed to be 4 and with veldenava dead it reincarnated a soul as close to its creators as it could one who was kind and wanted what’s be at for everyone he can help , basing this off the fact that the way rimuru reincarnated was strange even by normal standards in that world and the small amount of skills he started with being some of the most powerful he could’ve gotten and the power growth of said skills could allow it’s fairly possible that the voice was trying to fill a void left by its master at a time the world was getting on a path to possibly its own ruin

But I feel that the Voice of the World is a very objective existence. If that's the case, sounds like VOW also would develop some emotions, just like the Lord of Justice. But there is also a possibility that the VOW believes this world needs a leader similar to the Creator God too.

the reason rimuru was able to become a true dragon was because he i mean HE absorbed a True Dragon core which no one in Tensura is capable since if they try to kill a true dragon they would just reincarnate with the core itself whereas rimuru prevented that from happening by killing and separating veldora from his True Dragon core and absorbing it himself and another thing Raphael now know as Ciel is stated to be on a higher existence than the "Voice of the World" which means she is capable of controlling the laws of the world itself as stated in one of the explanation of the ultimate skill that also has the ability to rewrite laws of the world itself

I saw it as because there are many worlds Veldanava chose to reincarnate into a world outside the central world. As those worlds run on different laws it meant losing both his memories as well as any residual power he had, as such he was reincarnated as a human in a more modern world we know and was born Satoru Mikami. Upon Satoru’s death he began reincarnating back into the Central World, the Words of the World picked up on this and allowed Satoru to pick his own skills upon his reincarnation. I also think that part of Lucia either transferred into Wise Words or seemly too was reincarnated as the unique skill allowing both Veldanava and Lucia to eventually be together again as Rimuru and Ciel (it would also explain why Satoru was a 37 year old virgin as he subconsciously didn’t want to be with anyone but Lucia the only women he’d ever loved).

It would also explain why without their realising it certain characters who had relationships with Veldanava see easily accept and befriend Rimuru like Veldora and Diablo. We know historically Veldora was viewed as an evil dragon and had to have his personality “adjusted” by his sisters yet he instantly befriended Rimuru when they met, while this could be argued as his being lonely after years of isolation it seems very out of character for him to treat Rimuru in a brotherly fashion even fearing Rimuru’s scolding’s though he was more powerful than Rimuru. Diablo had an unnatural fascination with Rimuru again falling directly into servitude rather than coercion or cooperation allowing him to still uphold his willingness to follow Veldanava as he always had.

I think Rimuru probably got the "dragon factor" the moment that Veldora named him, likely through his natural predator ability at the time; the dragon factor probably wasn't something the great sage understood so it was just like "unidentifiable data - quarantine, scan, store for later decryption if safe." lol.
And just for the record YES Rimuru did use predator to devour Veldora; and yes he did inherit a shit-load of skills and abilities from Veldora, there's zero reason to believe that he didn't also inherit the dragon factor considering he already had the mimic form ability as a slime when using predator and all of those skills evolve with him.
We never saw it but i'm pretty sure if he tried rimuru could have turned into a dragon back in like book 2/s1 of the anime lol not a true dragon like veldora or milim but a dragon form with sentience, absolutely. he did EAT A DRAGON. he can turn into everything else he eats, so why not dragon???
Rimuru was indeed a very special being. Veldora was extremely lonely in the Infinity Prison because no monsters could get close to him. His magicules were too powerful and would destroy any magic beings that approached, except for the highest-level existences. But the fact that Rimuru could approach Veldora unscathed and even devour him was already very strange. So, some part of Rimuru's Dragon Factors or soul was indeed connected to the stronger Veldanava.
Okay I'll have a go, Rimuru has God's core which in essence can override the voice of the world. The manas Ciel transcended with the evolution of emotion, capturing a will of its own Ciel overrides all authority with void God and akashic records I believe (wn) because ln isn't finished yet. In the beginning there was mana breeder and turn null which made Veldanava the original god of tensura. Who then lost turn null which was the power to destroy and mana breeder the power to create Milim has the will of veldanava in the inheritance of mana breeder while my precise theory is that Rimuru was able to attain apotheosis through the manas Ciel (God's Core) and this is why Rimuru is special.

Yet Veldanava/Lucia must did something and made the core unrecognizable to most of strong beings such as Guy, Dino, Rudra, Dragons, Milim and others (Velda for example), since for Velgrynd, she could recognize Rudra's soul. God loves all, the pre requisites did not change, Ciel overrides the laws by substitution the template was there all along with evolution to ultimate slime viscous draconic star god Rimuru has the required vessel to be the successor to the original god. I will go and argue that when Rimuru named Ciel it was from chaos (because Raphael made its first mistake) that it was reborn with the transcendance towards having an emotion or ego did it truly become self aware and in many ways becomes the law and order of Rimuru blessing as the 5th true dragon.

The Simple Reason why Rimuru was able to be a True Dragon is due to his Skill combination and the circumstances he encountered.
World Law is right that only Veldanava can create a True Dragon, but Rimuru having Predator to eat Veldora and Ultimate Skill Raphael that can make anything once fully analyzed followed by Veldora letting himself get eaten bypassed the World Rule. The World Ruler most likely thinks no one would ever have the power to Beat and Consume a True Dragon let alone coincidentally have Raphael as well. And it stayed true to what Raphael and Predator are able to do.

The Voice of the World successful osted Veldanava was due to his weakening but if Veldanava wasn't weakened in the slightest the Voice of the World would have no choice but to wait for any opportunity to do so as the Voice of the World can't control powerful beings like True Heroes and True Demon Lord. Because the Voice of the World could only respond to those with strong will.
Just saw this comment, thx bro. The "Voice of the World" is essentially the omniscience and omnipotence of Veldanava himself, so it only ensures the normal functioning of the world's laws. The True Demon Lords are almost incapable of affecting the most fundamental laws of this world as they are not powerful enough. Laws akin to the concept that 'a god's love must be impartial' can only be disrupted by Veldanava. Therefore, the Voice of the World would not control any of the world's powerful entities-this is my personal understanding.

I think vow (the voice of the world) is the one pulling the strings. In the first episode valdora says that rimuru came in an unusual way. Meaning that reincarnation from another world doesn't usually happen and that rimuru is the first case he heard of. Vow must have brought rimuru because he met some conditions but through his evaluation, it must have given rimuru's soul the dragon factors necessary. That must also be the reason that Ciel possess such authority over the world administrative system. Maybe vow need valdanava back for some reason.

This comment is fantastic. Rimuru is definitely a special existence. His reincarnation method was unprecedented, which was why he immediately piqued Veldora's curiosity. The fact that Rimuru could approach Veldora without any pressure speaks volumes. Rimuru's soul is also very unique, which is why the Primordial Demons find him so special. As for whether the VOW needs Veldanava to return, I can't be certain. It's possible that, like the Lord of Justice, the VOW needs Veldanava. However, the difference is that the VOW is Veldanava's omniscience and omnipotence, which is not quite the same as ordinary skills. Therefore, I think it's unlikely that the VOW would develop emotions. Since it is already omniscient and omnipotent, it would be better without emotions. Otherwise, the VOW would have turned a blind eye to Veldanava and Lucia's rule-breaking love affair.

Simply bcs of Veldora's aura, which is too strong for even level A serpents to get closed to. Yet Rimuru effortlessly approached Veldora, indicating that Rimuru is actually an equally existence to Veldora. So I think the naming thing is unrelated to the dragon factor, and dragon factor has to be something related to Veldanava in my opinion. Since Veldora also created by Veldanava. Maybe because of the predation skill, the overwhelming magicule doesn’t affect him. And as said in Ramiris’s labyrinth, monsters are hiding because they felt Veldora’s presence. But in Rimuru’s case during his reincarnation, he does not know how to sense magicule. Meaning, he doesn’t know veldora’s existence at that time. Which is why he just casually approached veldora and it was accidental because he just fell and bump into veldora’s seal

Similarly, Velzard intentionally leaks her Magicules, making it impossible for beings not particularly strong to approach Guy's territory. Thus, avoiding Veldora was not a matter of choice but a helpless decision. Yet, Rimuru didn't die under such an aura.
Later, under Rimuru's guidance, Veldora learned to control his Magicules, which allowed him to start integrating into community life.

I see this somewhat dofferently imho. Veldanava died and decided not to return but his "container" or "soul" didnt disappear, as a true dragon his soul got greatly weakened as he abandoned his role and duties and existence and he kept reincarnating into various world as mortal beings, eventually as the human protagonist taht was killed by a knifer and brought back into Veldanava's original world. the voice of the world, or rather the sentient part of it, the sleeping ultimate skill within Rimuru's soul awakened the moment they returned to the world of Tensura. and so our slime boy was born, not Vendanava but REFORMED from the same existence. Much weaker but quickly growing in power. born anew. learning a new. a new life. a new possibility. a new chance for the dragon god that found happiness only to die killed by his own rules - almost what happened to tempest after Rimuru told his subordinates not to engage with humans earlier in the series, no? they are different beings but their nature it seems didnt change at all lol.

These rules are scattered in different places, and some content, such as the settings for Lucia and Veldanava, come from the Web Novel. This episode doesn't emphasize these points, so there are still some shortcomings, and it doesn't further cover the subsequent storylines. Some content is based on inferences and summaries. For example, the 'Voice of the World' being formed by Veldanava's omniscient and omnipotent abilities is an inference. God's love must be equal, is another one.

In the later story, in order to collect Rudra’s soul, Velgrynd travelled to many of them, including the Earth. Also the insectars were from The Otherworld, demons from the Neitherworld/hell. All these were created by Veldanava

In the WN, the connection between Ciel and Lucia is too obvious. However, this part is completely absent in the LN. I made this episode because I felt there should be a video about the connection between Rimuru and Veldanava, so I combined both WN and LN information.
