I had a lot to make up for here, as my first heat wasn't great; but then wound up with one of my favorite races of this League! Put down some pretty good times for all laps.

i went there for the first time yesterday and first time i stepped in a go kart i scored 1st a 54.3 I was spoked and now actually want to go every weekend

Sorry for the naive question but do you not have to press the brake at all during your race in track 2? how about in track 1?
No brakes on either, a slight lift is more than enough. I have a video of my fastest run side by side with a run with brakes. Without brakes was ~0.3s faster, so not a massive difference either way.

Np! Getting the GoPro was the best thing that helped me get faster. I've spent so much time stepping frame by frame through videos and comparing laps and such.
I was there yesterday and I did 54.1 for the first time! Looks like these leagues are going with full speed setting on the karts…
Yeah the karts have 4 speed settings. Leagues are run at speed 4. The normal public races they call "pro" is speed 3 and "semi pro" is speed 2 for kids (who still meet the height requirements).
