This is a league race, and all the lifts are the quickest possible split second lift, the uphill, double left, double right, downhill, and right to s/f at league. Non-league (slower speed setting) is almost no lifts, depending on track/tire temps.

Yeah I play around with the settings a lot, so if you look in any of my videos scroll all the way down on description and there's a whole section for camera settings. Anything not mentioned would just be the camera defaults. Actually one thing I didn't mention here is that I'm using a windscreen also. This one unfortunately I overestimated how much light I'd have left and had to do whatever I possibly could in DaVinci to get anything usable. Lmk if there's anything specific you were looking for

I do! Check the description: 13 frames from the brake light to steering input 😎. I was originally committed to staying right on you and thought you had room. If I did notice there wasn't enough room, then this would be pretty bad reaction time 😂

If you really want to go for top time, be waiting at the gate before anyone else so you can get out in front, however if they use the side gates to load you into track then you want to be last since they do it in reverse order. If you're not out ahead, public races have too much traffic to really go for great times, so just go out there and have fun passing people 😂. As for driving, there's no real braking zones. The karts slow down fast enough to control the corners just from slight split second lifts. If you're following my lines from my "best laps" Playlist, those are "speed 4" / league Speed. Public races use speed 3, so the lines are slightly different. You don't have to go out as wide in most places on speed 3. Try different seating positions. Most people say they do the best putting as much weight as they can over the front tires, but it also depends on some other things. Have fun! 👍

@@rwgsxr1000 yeah especially when you get to the last couple turns it's tight. It's kinda fun tho cause that section is *soo* tight that when there's a slow person it forces everyone to bunch up and then the rest of the lap is a battle 😂 It does looks like there's room in the center tho to open up some of that final section.

The organizer's website quotes it at 55, I'm not sure exactly what we were hitting but I think it was more like 45, maybe 50 if you had a good kart and were lighter. My video probably looks faster cause of the motion blur created by the ND filter.

I still think the normal public sessions are fun in general because you get to fight thru traffic and pass people. You're not gonna get good times but as long as you don't get yellows / reds, it's fun. The supertrack is just another public session. It's fun, but it only adds 2 turns so it's not gonna feel like some crazy new track. IMO it be more interesting to run it in reverse. The interesting bit is they run a lot more people on the track for superteack, 30-40 at a time. Some people see that as a huge downside and hate the idea of not getting good times. I just think it's fun. Up to you where you fall in that.

Thanks! Very much agree that reverse would be fun. I’m also saddened by the luck-of-the-draw nature of the karts nowadays… you can just get a slow kart and there’s nothing you can do about it. From talking to a few others it seems like it’s up to 1/3 of the karts that run anywhere between 1 and 3 seconds slower for consistent folks doing the same laps. What’s your experience been with the kart quality? I suspect that’s the reason they implemented the mulligans. I compared some of your 2023 laps to 2024 times and it looks like they’re on average 1.5-2 seconds slower than last year (anecdotal but there does seem to be a trend). Wonder if they had to turn them down for insurance reasons or if it’s truly a quality issue. Also saddened that they’re not doing a summer league. Oh well. Good luck this week at awards and stop and say hello to Scott F or Mark W if you see us on the podium. :)

@@Method5440 yeah everyone in D1 has the same sentiment. It felt like it came on all a sudden from Jan league, but we just chalked it up to maybe being the cold temps messing with grip. But at this point nobody knows. I have a video comparing a good vs bad kart 1.6s off from each other while hitting the same line. They do take a beating so idk. If they did tune down the league Speed, I would guess it would be for battery purposes, rather than insurance, since there hasn't been any league incidents I don't know what would prompt it otherwise. But I'm just guessing. I know during league a lot of times you couldn't get full charge by the next race so not sure if that was a factor. I hope not. It's been driving us all crazy also.
