I don’t entirely know, but I assume it’s because Deadpool never intends to kill innocent people, he says he’s a “bad person who kills worse people”, Poison Ivy doesn’t care for the majority of the human race, she normally wouldn’t save anyone that isn’t Harley, but not all of her depictions are pure evil, and this depiction of Ivy is less villainous.

The humor is EXTREMELY dated, and I don’t mean like from a past era but like the humor and jokes will seem REALLY dated to people decades into the future. It wears its politics on its sleeve and is so obnoxiously extreme with it. The scene that really is a shining testament to its shittiness is when doctor psycho calls Wonder Woman a c*** and everyone is like “o my gosh guys! He said bad word!”. The other super villains start telling him he’s a bad person and don’t want to associate with doctor psycho because he said the word “c***”…let that sink in…lex Luther, joker, cheetah, Solomon Grundy, those legion of doom guys who commit terroristic acts, steal money, kill people, and try to take over the world don’t want to publicly asssociate with a villain because he’s sexist. That’d be like hitler, Darth Vader, osama bin Laden, mao xedong and Jeffrey dahmer all not wanting to associate or publicly be seen with Freddy Krueger because Freddy Kruger said the n-word at a party. It’s so wrapped up in its own dated, weirdo politics and tumblr logic that it warps the show into a bizarre accidental parody that it thinks murder, bank robbery and r@pe are not as bad as mean words. These people are supervillains, if i already don’t sympathize with them because they kill innocent people why would i care if they say slurs? And ivy and Harley Quinn’s relationship is so soap operish and melodramatic it makes you cringe. They took a superhero universe and turned into a romcom. It’s even more cringey and laughably put together than the Joel Schumacher batman films but somehow has an unironic fanbase. Losers
