I love how they couldn't even "defeat" her, so to speak. They had to destroy her anchor and send her back home because she was impossible to take donw through conventional means.
Dont forget that Vandal Savage had to step in to tell the Lords of Chaos that if Earth were destroyed the Anti-Life equation would "consume all" therefore ending Chaos and Order.

I mean to be fair the point to her strength was she was being boosted by the other chaos lords. It wasn't just her.
Even with Klarion, they always end up needing to target his anchor because they can't beat the Lords themselves.

Chaos is a strange element, Klarion and Child both had different end goals it seems, Klarion plays a game with Order, giving and taking to prolong chaos as a whole, while Child wants to cause as much chaos at once as possible, although in doing so will reduce everything to nothing. It's like two children playing the same video game, one wants to rack up as many points as possible, while the other just wants to beat the game as fast as possible. High Score vs. Speedrun.

Loved her, she showed how dangerous Chaos Lord's are and her characterization is impeccable
If anything it kind of showed me how weak they are. Child had the full support of the Chaos Lord's yet she was stopped by the efforts of the JL, 1 lord of order, and 1 lord of chaos. The Light didnt even intervene to help. Id say that the Phantom Stranger helped more than Vandal Savage and The Light. Although, she did lose her power towards the end. If not for the sake of the plot, I expected Child to completely destroy the Earth. Mongol got closer to destroying the Earth with the War World than Child did.

@@Mysterious-Fox-01 if we were to measure her base power without the chaos lords, it would most likely be the same power level as Klarion, it has never been said that she would be less strong than him or stronger, we judge that because they are both Chaos Lords (in the animation). Since she offered him a fight where the two would just use the base level, they are problably in the same level. Klarion didn't defeat her at any time, Zatanna's team needed him but HE never defeat her, it was said several times that it would be impossible. They had to destroy her anchor and send her back home because she was impossible to take down through conventional means. Now, if we went to the comics, Klarion isn't even a chaos lord and she's still one, so anyway, she would also be more powerful than him in the comics just using her base level. Accept it.

I think we can safely say that Young Justice has cast off it's original intent of being a TV show for kids and young adults and just gone straight adults. Understandable, as most of those who grew up with this show are now 10 years older, but damn...this is getting bloody.
Not as dark and gory like season 3 they seem toned down some of that stuf in season 4

Had no idea how attached I'd grown to Klarion's character and antics until she showed up and the possibility of losing him was presented... Glad it wasn't the case. That being said, she was super fun to watch, chaotic and dangerous AF. Hope we we get to see her again someday

Child is one of the coolest villians EVER. She's very smart for choosing an anchor that was very hard to kill, she carried season 4. I wish I she had more screentime though. But aside from that she's super powerful and one of the best DC villians I have ever seen, I love her and her iconic quotes.

They nerf her so hard in young justice. which makes sense, she’s always talking about how she’s not on her fathers level, but in the comics it’s said her magic is a matter of belief. as long as Zatanna believes she can do something, she can. I don’t know if this is intentional, but it would’ve been cool for this to have been covered in her arc.

She’s as strong as Klarion naturally which is pretty powerful, since they embody chaos. She had a power boost though from the other 7 or so other chaos lords.
There is no such classification in DC Comics. The “Child” is a Lord of Chaos, which gives her the right to control the universal force at her will - in special because her magic (Chaos Magic) is not bound to any place like the “regular” magic known as “magic of order” or the Lord of Order theirselves, although they are both equally powerful.
The Lord of Chaos and Order are usually described as one of the most powerful magic user in DC (of course not all of them are equally powerful to each other but the two more notable are Mordru and Nabu).
Well she's so powerful because the other chaos lords are lending her their power. Think of Shazam" with all his abilities which are lent to him by mythical beings.

I just realised she did not use the other chaos gods power at all until the very end. So the other fight is entirely her power alone and she is not that serious, crazy to imagine she goes all out with at least 5 times her power. The world would end with just a snap.
This and the Raquel & Nightwing Arc got the majority of the animation budget lol. I really did like Child.
Ironically this arc got the most powerpoint slideshows. It didn't really bother me until they used a slideshow for something happening in real time.

yeah PowerPoint slideshows are a trope for flashbacks in media so I didn’t mind it when it was flashbacks, but when it was Vandal and Phantom Stranger pleading with the Lords of Order and Chaos it was a bit weird.

yeah thats why i didn’t really like this lord of chaos’s representation. in the comics especially it is made known that order doesn’t equal good & chaos doesn’t equal bad and we even see that in the show i.e dr.fate being a total asshole almost all the time & klarion not being some massive serial killer that decimated the planet.

Depends on what you mean by order/chaos but generally life is going to be considered super fucking ordered. Even behaviours, at a population level, are pretty damn predictable (and thus ordered). But I’m guessing they are referencing sentience so they’d want chaotic choices and not choices they leads to order. So ya, killing people wouldn’t help. In fact, you could make the argument that chaos would be the good guys as they’d represent free will and the agents of order would be obedience or whatever.
From a physics perspective… The most chaotic thing would be the galaxy turned into a cloud of gases that are hot af. The most ordered thing would be makes the galaxy get as close to absolute zero as possible. So from this perspective both sides would be equally threatening.
Bro Vandal Savage said to the Lords of Chaos that if Darkseid ever were to win which involves "everyone dying" the Anti-Life Equation would rule all and therefore render Order and Chaos to nothing therefore the answer would have to be Darkseid id she wants to live.

Order don't like change and thus evolution is a chaotic trait. Even peoples or animals can act against their nature thus it's pretty chaotic. Sure, there is also oderly patterns but that's what the idea of balance is based on: enough chaos to bring change and enough order to make it stable.

The fact Child took the form of a young girl is actually fitting. Such a form symbolically is the most chaotic human form.
A girl represents life, and life has infinite potential which can take any path.
A child is unpredictable thus will do whatever they feel like.
Combined you get the most chaotic aspects of humanity. Meanwhile, Fate prefering the form of older males is fitting as well.
Males are generally associated more with the aspects of death, and tend to prefer to have control.
An adult is someone without potential, much more predictable and have a set of morals they are ascribed to.
Basically, Fate is the old men in american political power who hate change and want to revert things back to when only people like them could make decisions.
Thus a young girl is the extreme embodiment of chaos symbolically.
And an old man is the extreme embodiment of order.
Hence why Clarion is better for the universe and why Fate changing hosts on a schedule is good for the universe as well. It removes the *extreme* element of their order and chaos, balancing them.
Too much chaos is regression, but too much order is stagnation. A balance between the two must be kept or the world will crumble.
Unfortunately majority of us humans does not know not care about the balance of order and chaos. Progression and Stagnation

@@justindeliwe8065 Pretty much, the problem that I've gathered thus far with the whole Lords of order thing is that you're essentially only wanting just that solely. Which is cool and all, but it will inevitably lead to situations in the video. One chaos lord grew incompetent and wasn't evil enough so they sent one that literally acts as a vessel of all their wills and powers, solely executing their will on earth. The character is doing specifically what it came to due, cause chaos to tip the scale in their favor. Enjoyment or not, she still acts under a hierarchy. I'm not saying the actions are justifiable for obvious reasons.

@@wallisvictor9688 The anchor is not “her power source” it’s the thing that allows her to have a physical body and she can keep creating new physical bodies as long as the anchor exists. Even if you wanted to destroy her completely you’d probably have to destroy her anchor first to be able to start targeting her essence. Saying she never lost is as absurd as saying Klarion never lost.

Child is the coolest Lord of Chaos ever and my new favorite supervillain. I bet Darkseid would be scared of her power. Also, she’s really smart because when she picked Flaw, he was almost indestructible and when picking an anchor to the mortal world. You should pick one that’s hard to destroy.

Child es un gran personaje, una lastima que le hayan tenido que nerfear para que una vez más los protagonistas ganen.
Tienes razón, debe ser la tendencia de los autores de nuevos dibujos animados y anime de los últimos 8 meses: crean villanos con gran personalidad y perfectamente caracterizados para luego hacerlos salir de escena demasiado rápido con trucos superficiales y apresurados.

Child es un gran personaje, francamente aterrador. Darle la apariencia de una niña linda en uniforme escolar con cabello rubio y flequillo la hace espeluznante. La rima infantil "no me puedes matar, no me puedes matar" es horrible parece ver una película de terror de los 80
Lo mismo pasó en Chainsaw Man, que para los que no lo sepan es un Anime Japonés del 2022
Ahí también hay una bella villana, ahí también es una hembra diabólica y muy mala, pero sobre todo es un gran personaje....
Incluso ahí el autor la hace salir de escena de forma demasiado precipitada y superficial.

Quizá sería mejor hacer una caricatura donde todos los personajes sean malos........
