I wouldn't say so. Isn't it the other way that Ivy is in fact a genocidal maniac that kills dozens of people for the Green (she's not even elemental being in the show btw), but authors trying to describe her as an anti-hero for some reason?

I don’t entirely know, but I assume it’s because Deadpool never intends to kill innocent people, he says he’s a “bad person who kills worse people”, Poison Ivy doesn’t care for the majority of the human race, she normally wouldn’t save anyone that isn’t Harley, but not all of her depictions are pure evil, and this depiction of Ivy is less villainous.
