1938 Zündapp K800 - German Pre-War Motorcycle - Full Restoration

- We did a ground up, nuts and bolts restoration on this 1938 Zündapp. It took nearly 6 months (one of our longer restorations) in our search for parts from Germany, paint work, cad plating, etc. It's a beautiful art-deco machine and runs flawlessly. It has an air-cooled, 4-cylinder engine with a top speed of 70 mph. The Zündapp K800 is listed as one of the top 100 machines of the 20th century.

Lucky I have 3 of them ;-) greedy I know but they are the best!
My first motorcycle was a Zundapp 200 in 1957 while in high school. The quality was top notch for the day and very rugged. It puzzled me that they slowly drifted toward smaller two-strokes and were essentially gone from the U.S. market in the early '60s.

My first two bikes at the age of 16/17 were two stroke Zundapp 250's. Now after over 50 years of motorcycling including BSA, Triumph, Moto Morini, BMW, Indian, Laverda, Cagiva, Ducati, Suzuki, and Kawasaki, my favorite make of motorcycle is the Moto Guzzi (two) in my garage. --Mike

it's a beauty, it has a flat 4 engine with side valves ... I love this bike, but it is almost impossible to find one, no matter the conditions ... you are real like ones to own one! Congrats !

Wau! Tolle Restauration. Unglaublich schön geworden! In Österreich hatten wir das Gegenstück davon. Die Puch 800 Boxer. Leider sind im Krieg viele davon verloren gegangen und somit gibt es nur mehr ein paar ganz wenige. Grüße aus Linz/Österreich 🇦🇹🏔⛷🍺🥨🛶😎💪😺🐺

Beautiful restoration of an amazing machine. What a brilliant design and manufacture for any time, let alone the 30's Shame they didn't survive, like the other Bavarian.
Beautiful job on a beautiful bike. My dad had one during the war and he loved it. It had the military sidecar though and was painted in military colors.

One of the most beautyful motorbike i ever saw, even knew they exist! In Portugal small 50cc zundapp motors were used in moped bikes but this big ones is a shame to disapeer
