First Impressions With The Quest 3 || Is It Worth It?

- These are my general first impressions with the Quest 3. Overall, I think it is a great improvement over the Quest 2, and I can see potential in the mixed reality features. I was hoping passthrough would look better, but I plan to continue using it to see if I can get more used to it.
It seems like the extra power is allowing games that are optimized for it to shine in standalone. Looking forward to seeing what new games come out for it, and what old games get updated. My biggest gripe is the comfort, and I really wish they would come with a better strap instead of there being a necessity to buy one from Meta or a third-party. Hope you enjoyed the first impressions video!

I’m still rocking the rift s. I like it, but I feel I could use an upgrade. Has anyone had both and could really say if it is that much better?
Nice piece of hardware. I had it on my head for maybe a total of 30 minutes since i got it and such an awful move that they dont give you a solid strap. How many people are potentially turned off and return these standalone headsets that dont do the proper research like us to make it comfortable? At $500 thats pretty insane.
100% - it's a solid HMD, but it feels like the real cost is +$100 since a strap is pretty much a necessity.
@@jBahrVR What they should have done is packaged the $650 one with the higher gig size with the elite strap that they make.
Did you try wired PCVR? If so, does the Q3 use the same oculus rift ui as the Q2?
I did not try wired yet, but it was the same as the rift UI when going in through airlink so I would say yes.

Have you seen the screen door? And how much sharper the crystal ? It is much sharper it means 35/25 ppd = 1,4 so +40 % sharper or less what do you think?
I haven't seen a screen door effect much yet, but can look out for it as I use it more.
The crystal is a lot sharper no doubt at 35ppd vs 25ppd. If I had to guess, right around 30-40% sharper than the Quest 3, but I'll have to try both on right after another and see what I think then.
When u were wireless did you use Air Link?
I did not actually, I tried but had some weird connection issues like I would with Quest 2 that I didn't want to deal with. At some point I plan on troubleshooting and figuring out why airlink doesn't work well for me.
I used Virtual Desktop and I didn't have to change anything, it just connected and worked perfectly 😉

Wait, so you can’t play the games that you normally play on your channel with the Quest 3?
I can, I just need to connect to my PC in order to do so. Which is easy enough. It's just not powerful enough to play those games without a PC quite yet. There are usually Standalone versions of a lot of games, that usually get worse graphics so they can perform on Quest.
