Having played bass for Lani M. many times in my career, I can attest to her down-to-earth humility. She has the distinction of being the only Filipino artist to break into the Las Vegas strip entertainment scene and was voted Best Singer in 2008. In 2009, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman proclaimed December 4 as "Lani Misalucha Day" in the city.

the lyrics literally translates as " i'll just love you tomorrow when our hearts get free"
The song literally means "I will love you tomorrow". It's a tragic love song of finding your true love, your soulmate but the timing is wrong. They are already both in a committed loving relationship. And decides that they will not be selfish. Here, the woman sings about what ifs, the tragedy of meeting too late and hoping/promising to love the man in the next life.

I mean, that's kind of common sense though. The only thing I would say it is it's good to remind us that we shouldn't be afraid or too nervous to move the mic. That's the only reason people tend not to do that when they know they should. It has nothing to do with "knowing about music".

It is amazing to see how much power and fullness she has even on her quiet sounds. Tara used to word decadent and I feel like that perfectly encapsulates what I am trying to describe. Then the diction. It is so crystal clear. I can't speak the language at all, but I can clearly understand each individual sound. This is a masterful performance to say the least. It is so impressive hearing the polarity between her "small" notes and big notes.
Now that I am done fan boying, Tara I am back again to request that you react to Tank and the Bangas Tiny Desk Concert on NPR. They are one of those groups that deserves more acclaim then they have in my opinion.

I Just wanted to leave a huge thank you. I can't sing, but I love watching Taras videos. Everything she points out teaches ne something and trains my ears. Ist's almost like gym exercises đ. I learnd so much from her and it makes me appreciate my Favoriten singers even more.

Lani Misalucha is the singer that first got me interested in Filipino singers about 11 years ago when I saw video of her on CZcams from her Las Vegas performances (she had residencies in Las Vegas for years) where she would include a medley of songs in the style of different great female singers like Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, CĂ©line Dion, etc. and I got all her several available CDs. Jona Viray has also sung Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin many times in concert and on TV, and within the last few years Jona and Lani have performed together in concert. Here are two quite different performances by Jona of Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin--the first link is from 2011 where she is sitting sort of sideways on the edge of the stage and looks absolutely gorgeous, and does a very slow version full of emotion. The second is at a more recent event in October 2019 where she is standing on stage, and seems to have added some refinements, especially at the ending. I chose these two because, although they are audience recordings, they were the best quality and performances of many I have looked at just now. Lani and Jona are both great singers.

Lani Misalucha is your quintessential lounge singer from Las Vegas. She was hired to do that in Las Vegas. So as a professional let's just say she was voted the best singer in Las Vegas over Celine Dion when she was there doing shows the same time as Lani was doing her lounge singing. I know you love those showtunes but Lani is a total beast and that gives you a different perspective on why she sings like she does!

Song story, the girl is already married and she is disappointed that her childhood crush just reappear and wants to court her, during their childhood puppy love she was not ready to commit because it was not the right time. . . but now she cant coz she is already taken, so she always tells the guy that she will love him the next day or (bukas nalang kita mamahalin), so the guy just keep on hopping.

Being very observant and being able to voice out or talk about what you observed is a talent. there are so many great singers out there but will not be able to lay down all the details like you do.
