Not sure what you are trying to say. The saxophone was a relatively recent invention. The sound of the saxophone may not have been new but it’s construction is.
i'd do either a dudelsack (a bagpipe but with one chanter, one tenor pipe, and one bass pipe), or a spanish double-chanter (a bagpipe but you blow into two chanters which are connected to a bag, and the bag is connected to 4 drone pipes, i dont know if they are either tenor or bass), or a lute of some sorts
god, i never knew the pipe sounded so beautiful. no wonder the fairytale about the piper was so fucking popular, that instrument is enchanting even without the magic the piper was often thought to have used. stunning.
As a bassoonist, I noticed your pipe reed is wider than a bassoon reed & maybe thicker, too - perhaps similar to a contrabassoon reed. That would explain the low pitch & rich tone you exhibit, and is only possible with forceful breath support. I also LOVE your doubles for that bass overtone it yields, making you sound like 3 people! Of course, only possible with perfect intonation. Absolutely stunning technique & musicianship!
Hmm...this lady has a very interesting middle name. Is it very rare to have the middle name Gwendolyn in Germany? Or for someone with a German first and last names?
You're amazing. Quite the dancing melody. I had a lot of fun. If you don't mind me asking, could you please tell the keys that the two tabor pipes from "Par un tres bel jour de mai"? They are both D? (I'm thinking about buying one! Almost buying)
Toll!!!
What kind of double reed do you use with the douçaine? It looks like a bassoon reed and the instrument sounds like an English Horn or oboe d'amore. I've played shawms, and even attempted to play ancient Egyptian shawms from the Museaum of the University of Pennsylvania years ago using my oboe reeds. The space you shot the videos must have been fabulous for recording!
Merci beaucoup !
The Trotto on the shawm is amazing✨
Everybody: the saxophone was invented in 1846.

The instrument at the beginning is just breathtaking
What is it called? And where to get one?

This beautiful music takes us back to a time when the air could be still and less interfered with the noise and crowded minds of todays world.
Merci de jouer ces merveilleuses mélodies anciennes. !💚👏👍
Watching this for Music Appreciation. Never guessed just how...happy and wholesome these "obscure" instruments would be lol
wow, some of the best medieval music ever.
Such a talented person 😊
The Cantigas de Santa Maria are a proper fountain for entering the probable medieval musicality... wonderful, congratulations!
I'm in love. Thank you-These are wonderfully performed.
I just ordered your CD...you are AWESOME!!!
Qué hermosura! Amo la música y los instrumentos medievales! Qué bella interpretación! Gracias!
Perfect for my bard to play during short rests or for a catnap, ha! #DND brings back oldies.
Wow she is outstanding! 2 instruments together

Thank you, this is so beautiful! Absolutely remarkable and very true to the past, I think!
This is fantastic- thanks so much for this showcase!
we think of modern and classical music as being more advanced, but so much has been forgotten that this appearance of progress is really an illusion.
Uhm, no.

Hmm...this lady has a very interesting middle name. Is it very rare to have the middle name Gwendolyn in Germany? Or for someone with a German first and last names?
Sounds like a mixture of a bagpipe chanter mixed with a saxophone and a toucher of a recorder.
Love the first instrument, douçaine, could you tell me who made it please?
Christoph Schuler www.allantica.ch
LOVE this :)
You could play an incredible Duduk song with that first instrument
greetings. Amazing..:)
Super!!! Chirimia = DOUÇAINE ??
Absolutely beautiful! I wish you put the websites in the description where one could buy the instruments.

The tabor pipes are both in g.

3:40 what is the exact name of that pipe flute?
Toll!!!

That is one huge reed for a small instrument 😲. Instrument sounds very mellow due to the broad reed and end cap.
Prepare for trouble! And make it double!
This sounds amazing, Its too much :D
Where can I buy a SHAWM like the one in the video?
🌞❤️🙏🏼
красота)
bravissima :)
what's the name of the flute played before the drums?
Sounds and looks very much like a armenian Duduk.
beautiful music ! double recorder is the best! what a luthier ?
Thanks!! My double recorder is from the italian recorder maker Francesco Li Virghi.
Who made your tabor? What key was the tabor pipe in?
Excellent performance
Thank you! 😊 My tabor is from Miquel Tugores (Mallorca) and the pipe is in d.

Which flutemaker has made your double flute ?
Francesco Li Virghi
hello what's the name of this flute at 3:00 please
It’s a shawm, a medieval double reed instrument
May I know the name of the first medieval pipe? thanks!
