Phone cameras have gotten really good and there are a ton of great photo editing apps nowadays. For most people, it doesn’t make sense to carry around a dedicated camera for casual car photography.
In this video, I’ll show you how to supercharge your phone to get the best possible photo quality, show you some accessories and apps that I use, then I’ll take you through my photo editing process in the Lightroom Mobile app.

Sorry the footage I shot was so shakey. 🤣🤣🤣 You’ll have to teach me how to use the gimbal.

Another tip I would add is to use the 2x or 3x if you have it on your phone. It makes the photos look so much nicer and less distorted. You'll have to stand farther back but it's worth it. Apologize if you mentioned it and I missed it.

Great vid, cheers! It's good to look through the composition, blur your eyes a little and see what jumps out if that makes sense. Try to take your focus off the car and look through the picture, see where your eye goes... 🙂

Photography generally take 3 parts, a good camera, good lens and editing. If you have 2 of those 3 parts down or even one then you're going to be ahead of the majority of people. So I'd say it's definitely worth it to get an iphone lens kit if you can't afford a dslr. It's also a lot more convenient and user friendly for beginners using an iphone.
Learning lightroom I would say has the biggest impact for car photography, because most likely your going to be putting it on social media, that's seen by phone users, so higher resolutions are only going to grant diminishing returns on quality. Most people can't tell the difference between a good iphone shot and a dslr camera on instagram, unless they're shooting bokeh or with a really slow shutter speed, etc. Editing is really just a buffer to make the photo more appealing, as most professionally done pictures we see online aren't raw and just point and snapped.

...my first experience with a BMW was when i drove a 325i e36 5 speed manual, which looked like sh*t but boy did it drive well, i loved it to bits, the sound and the torque was just astonishing, any gear acceleration was a marvel, it just kept begging me to press. The second encounter was in a 530d e39 manual 5 speed, it felt sluggish at take off but i got used to it and the steering felt heavier than normal. Right now I'm interested in a 525i e39
