Unfortunately we stopped making intakes in 2020 but hopefully this video will help you make one similar to how we used to make ours.
Our lift kits are complete front and rear and are sourced from manufacturers in the USA!

In this video we show you how to install our intakes. The design has changed so please contact us with your install questions.
Sweet video!
Supermodulation, the tuner from the Colorado forum suggested the stock intake system was best left alone except for the inlet to the filter box. I made a modified inlet that still pulls air from the inner fender. I also sent him the ECM and throttle body for upgrading while I had the engine apart for a valve job. It's an '04 5-speed and while it is well used at about 175,000 miles it runs much better than it did new.
He would say that since i used to make these intakes.. I no longer refer any of my customers to him due to his unprofessionalism. Why'd you only do the head and not pull the motor and rebuild it properly?
@@BadlandIndustries Didn't need rings, just valve guides & seals. I figure it will last longer than I will. I bought it over 19 years ago and it was always going to be my last PU truck. Only downside, it won't pull the Bobcat. The only mods were air inlet, pre-cat, head cut a bit, Supermod tune, ported TB, big battery, & custom back bumper. Best mpg a bit over 31. This spring I have the suck job of pulling the dash to replace the evaporator, compressor, and condenser. While I have the dash out, I may install one of the Rock Auto carpets & upgrade the seats. I'm thinking some Accord seats would be comfy.
Can you please send me some specs of what you used for those and what kind of check valve and where can get it
When are you selling those resonator delete tubes again?
The airbox outlet appears to be just as small as the part you discarded, so I wonder if that really has any affect.
The first few years were smaller than the latter. Anything smaller than the throttle body is still a restriction.
I’m having trouble understanding you ,where you get fresh air for the pcv.
That vacuum line from the manifold sucks air and the one way valve points in the opposite direction.
Where is the crankcase getting air from?
Blowby
what happens if i take the thing at 2:30 out and then just put it back together stock? will i notice a difference with the increased air flow?
only slight improvement
so basically from what i can figure, if you setup something like the 2.0 version, but with a oil catch with a breather before dumping it down away from the engine on the intake side of the engine would be the best DIY possible? still haven't ever experienced any lean codes from it?
Honestly no can needed. Nothing to clean.
I have a couple questions: 1. Is the small fitting 1/8th inch on the 3in elbow? 2. Is the 3in elbow a 45 degree? Thank you
I believe it was 3/16 since it fur over the fpe nice and tight. The pipe was a length taken from a larger sweep.
DId you just use vice grips on the battery cables??? Derek would be proud! VGG babeeee
Unless vise grip makes crescent wrenches...
Did you guys get baseline specs and test it again after doing this mod? That’s what I really want to know lol
only the butt dyno. other brands boast 13hp. id say if you can build this for 1/3 of the price of k&n anything you gain is an improvement in power and your wallet
Are you going to make one for the 5.3???
i used to
Do y'all still sell the stage 1? I couldn't find it on your website
Were you able to find the parts?
Is this still being sold? Can't find it on the site
not any longer, sorry
Excuse me sir I got a question for you can I do same thing to my Chevy Colorado 2008 please let me know I will appreciate it
Yes you wont have a fuel pressure return line but everything else is the same.
@@BadlandIndustries Excuse me sir I want to say thank you very much for your respond me I appreciate it a lot I am learning from you to fix my Chevy Colorado 2008 many problems Solve it already and I’m still learning from you
How do I buy a cold air intake for a 07 2.9? Didnt see it on the website. Thank you
I stopped making them years ago. They're not hard to make.
How do you connect the 1/2 inch tube to the 3 inch plastic tube ? Should the 3 inch be hard or soft plastic ?
Use a barb fitting. Hard pipe is best.
@@BadlandIndustries how do you fix the barb in the pvc pipe, superglue ?
@@joshuabrown1870 thread it in
Does the truck throw codes once you do this?
No. Now, if you route the hoses differently or dont follow the way I did this, then you'll likely throw a p0171 code.
Does this help with fuel efficiency?
Yes. Less restrictions in the intake system.
What is that on the oil fill cap?
oil bypass setup
Where does it end at?
Do y’all still make these and what is the website for it
Sorry no, but you can source all of these parts yourself and replicate the res delete.
@@BadlandIndustries where would I find all these parts could you make a list of exactly what you used?
@@alexwuerch8919 there's a how to I wrote on 355 nation called top free and cheap mods.
Is the non-return valve 1/2" and the hose 7/16"? Thx
Half inch line
Thank you@@BadlandIndustries . The non-return valve is a 1/2" gasoline fitting, correct?
@@121anz it's a universal check valve. Are you trying to build the stage 1 style kit?
The stage2, yes! I couldn't find it for sale. I also made some intake upgrades and modified the box.
@@121anz the stage 2 doesn't require the valve. Just cap the hardline going to the manifold and run 2 long hoses down off the crankcase.
Do u sell the kit for 2005 still ?
no but i have a diy intake video coming soon
What's the difference with stage 2? How's it more?
the stage 2 reroutes the crankcase venting. i have a new video coming where i show you guys how to diy the intake
I meant to say: waht are the pros and cons of stage 2 ehen compared to stage 1? Also what's the OD-ID of that line? Thx
@@BadlandIndustries
@@121anz the stage 2 style fully separates the intake from the crankcase.
So just to be double sure, looking at the car, the valve arrow direction LEFT, right? PS:. Differential bushings and extra engine oil line were a great easy assemble
@@BadlandIndustriesis the video out yet?
I took mine out yesterday and now I can hear more of the intake at open throttle and it sounds better with it off then on. I think it gained a few horsepower
That's the peace that goes from the fender to the intake box
That's great man.
does anyone know of anyone selling something similar today, or a way to make it myself?
Pretty easy to make. Green filter and air doc make a similar product but neither will keep your tb clean
@@BadlandIndustries ok thank you
No longer available?
Sorry buddy, supply consistency and likely having to deal with epa was enough to cause its cancelation. easy to make.
@@BadlandIndustries ok. Thanks. One more question. In one of you other videos your working on a truck that has a K&N set up. Which one is that and where did you guys get it from?
@@michaelmincey2622 green filter was on the blue truck.
@@BadlandIndustries thanks again.
Parts list???
3in elbow and some 1/2in hose. Pretty easy to make.
@@BadlandIndustries what about that one way check valve? What are the specific specs/part name?
@@joeym.9868 we found in later versions it wasn't necessary.
@@BadlandIndustries so just do the two 1/2" hoses?
@@joeym.9868 yes and plug the elbow going to the intake manifold or simply rip the cover off and plug it like I show you in my short a week ago.
