To be fair to Roddy. When Roddy died, Florida was hit with a hurricane and no cell service and took a couple days to restore so absolutely Roddy sent the voice mail, but took a couple days to get to Hogan in Florida because no cell service

I also have a theory that the producers of the 700 Club either aren't wrestling fans or they're lapsed casual fans because if they knew Hogan's reputation as a pathological liar, they wouldn't want him on the show.

It was just a delayed delivery. It can happen if your phones turned off. The battery is dead. The signal isn't the best. There's a lot of reasons this can happen

For a brother who claimed to have worked 400 days in a year, he definitely have found the time machine and go back in time to witness the crucification.
I hate how Hogan lies, tells half-truths, exaggerates, and inserts himself into events that he probably wasn't involved in.
HOWEVER, I believe he corrected himself on that 400 days story or just changed it to a different lie. The story he told on Rogan was 400 TIMES per year because he was often wrestling more than 1 show in a day. As much BS as he says, it's hard to trust his word on that. But it definitely sounds believable because some guys back in the territory days and during the rise of WWF in the 80s actually would wrestle more than 1 match in a day.

3:36 - of course it can... if someone leaves you a voicemail and you are in an area with poor coverage (or no coverage, like a basement or building) your phone does not "receive" the voicemail until you get back on the network (sometimes hours later) but the voicemail is still "there" even if you dont see it yet

It’s very simple: Piper sent the text/voice message before he died. Hogan didn’t see it/listen to it until after Piper died… Hogan never said that Piper sent the voice message after he (Roddy) died.
That's how I figured it too. Of course, it being Hulk, it crossed my mind that he was subtly hinting at a posthumous voice message and just letting it hang in the air without clarifying. Gotta add a little extra drama in there.
The actual reason is that florida had a storm and lost cell service for several days. Because of that, all pending messages went out when sevice was restored.
I think Roddy sent the message to support hulk during his time where the media was after him

I've had several messages be sent or received late by several hours or even a day before, whether it was someone in the same house or someone 3,000 miles away. It's not unheard of.
Why is it that Hogan has all these things to say after a wrestler passes away. It's like a routine. Macho Man, Warrior, and now Piper. I noticed he didn't claim to be best friends with Andre. He knew Stephanie already claimed that.

That happened with my cousin. Her dad, my uncle, passed away and on the day of the funeral she got a voice-mail from before he passed. Just randomly showed up late.

Ever turn off your phone and turn it back on and a bunch of messages that didn’t go through all of a sudden you get a bunch? Happens to me all the time cuz I live in a rural area and every time I restart my phone I get something late that didn’t go through so I can believe that part.
You can record your voice and send it in a text and sometimes texts can show.up days later this could have happened as a piece of irony.

He told this story before, I think in Roddy's A&E biography. Before Hulk added he was having issues with his cell phone and sometimes receiving messages a day or two after they were sent.
Jim & Brian have both said Hulk seems to take something with a grain of truth to it then blow it up. Hulk not knowing how to use a cell phone has become Roddy texting him from the afterlife.

Regardless of the delays from that time with text and voicemail...it would still be a bit creepy to get a message like that from someone who passes away. Even if it's a few days or even a week later.
Not saying this is real but there has been countless similar stories reported from all over the world of people receiving phone calls from deceased friends / family members.
