Over all another great time spent in the shop! Be sure and check out my good friend Preston's Channel, He has some really big trike news coming very soon. ‪@ThisOldTrike‬

I was a grunt mechanic at a Honda dealership back in the '80's, and I loved it when one of these came in. A grunt mechanic means you do everything no one else wants to do.....but I was good at it! Two strokes need proper spark timing and mixture....period.
MR 250 tuned engines, and when the carb was set right, they were a blast to drive compared to the 3 wheeled ATV's!!
I think it was 1982, and the dealer had these on the non-current list for sale new for $1200 dollars!
Still kick myself for not buying one, but in '82, $1200 dollars was a lot of money on a really meager salary....I think I was making $5.50/hr.
The CR 250 cylinder will bolt right on, but the weight of the chassis really needed the lower end pull......all of that ringing sound was there when they were new out of the crate......it's the jack-shaft drive system.
Go through it and re-lube the sliding pulley system.....it's what a modern Jatco CVT does, only with a rubber drive belt.

With a name like that, I hope you have seen my Van Halen 3 wheeler?.
That's cool, that you were there in the dealership in there heyday. I think most of us envy you and what that must have been like, working in the candy shop. Thanks for sharing and i will lube up that slider, i should have it riding next video, waiting on parts now. Thanks.

My friend had an Oddesey growing up. Right before we were to take it for a spin his sister rode it up some saplings. The machine was suspended of the ground by a few dozen 2" saplings. Getting her down was a project. Needless to say their old man was not happy. Still waiting for that ride!😀

Not surprised that red seat din't fit, we yank them out of all types of side by sides to work on them and they get in the way all the time. One last thing about college in my 40's, since it was a business school all the kids wanted to have their own business so they can go on vacation as often as they want. Yep, thats how it works! Looking forward to more wheeled wonderment.

No problem, you can get universal wheels by itp wheel to fit your lug pattern 4x130 with a 8x8 wheel. You can find them on ebay about 60 each. Or you can buy 300ex hubs, and make the rear wider and converts to 4x110 pattern, you then can run any modern tear 4 wheeler wheel and tire combo. This only works on the rear.
