Father I am listening to this video. My husband John commited suicide April 10 1982. He was 33 years old. There is no one to talk to about that. I did go to a psychologist back then. I have been praying Catholic prayers lately and came upon this video. I am 71 now and that date back then changed my life needless to say. My husband had a mental illness and took all of his medication. I found him on the Saturday before Easter. Thank you for sharing. It doesnt feel so lonely now.

About 23 years ago I converted to Catholicism so that I could be married in my then fiancé's church. Didn't really take everything quite seriously but nevertheless completed all the classes and requirements and fully converted. Years later she filed for divorce and I fell far away from Jesus. However, many things happened and I began going to daily mass(beginning of this past October '22), confession on a regular basis and actually have a prayer life now. I thank God everyday for leading me to Catholicism all those years ago and thank Him even more for wooing me back to The Faith. I'm so Blessed

I had a very similar experience. Born and raised Catholic, then fell away for decades. Suddenly small signs and coincidences drew me back to various Catholic churches, culminating in me walking in on adoration where I saw our Lord. I also had never been. Thank you so much God for searching me out and calling me home. Please let always do Your Will. I am Yours.

Thank you Father for sharing your experiences with us. I am in the edge on giving up on my 43 yr old Son, he is abusive, verbally & physically but he has mental anguish because of child molest from a family s freind when he was very about 4 yrs old then at 12 he was sexually abused by his cousin. He says he told us, myaelf, my mother and 2 sisters which I do not recall and have never asked them if they recall of this incident. He says that we didn't acknowledge it or questioned it. He said that we ignored him and ever since he started going wayward, he kept getting into trouble & skipping school. At this time I was separated for the same reason that his Father was a drug addict and who knows what verse he was doing as I was always working. He ended up marring twice after I decided I'd never go back to his ways as he was involving me with his addiction. I didn't care about his cheating but I feared for our lives. I moved out-of-town amd back to my family. I couldn't attend to my son because I became a single parent who had to work and for our shelter expenses and day care because he refused to provide childxl support unless we went back so I never requested child support so his father wouldn't have rights to my Son. Anyway since I was having personal problems and workingcalm the time My Son cwent wayward and I blame myself. My Son had mental issues, behavioral & disciplinary issues. Hezeas used & abused by older kids at school and started him on drugs so he would run errands for them o he would get bullied, pushed and beaten up so he'd do what they wanted bit he never mentioned any of it while this was going on til he started getting into trouble with the law. He's been in jail sincee the age of 16 til the age of 40. Now that I'm retired I'd lijexusxto get along, pray, and get closer to Jesus Christ. He has most of his sacraments thru confirmation.but hes not interested to get involved without Catholic church Coimmunity although he congresses joins me at Sunday masses and Rosaries and Blessed Sacrament. We pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy at home cand the 3:00pm. DIVINE MERCY Prayer every other day. I 🙏 the StvMonica Novena for his conversion as he has no love of Jesus, Mary or anyone else. I pray that Jesus maybhavecMercy on his soul as he is suicidal or to harm me. I pray unceasingly for him. I TRUST IN JESUS NAME. I have Bl essed water, green scapula, blessed crucifix, baby Jesus & BLESSED Mary frames in the house as I feel that Satan wont let him go. I placed Blessed wayerca over his area and mine to keep Satan away from him. By the power of Jesus and Mary and St Joseph I ask Satan to release my Son, leave our home and never come back. I'm afraid to loose him to Satan. I ask for everyone's prayers. I jave taken take him for psychiatric help but he's given too many meds that only make him feel useless, my Son is broken in every way. I wish he would seek guidance from a priest or Deacon. Merely ask for help for his brokenness I'm there for him but because of his age I am not able to help but thru Prayer. He is nit able to get a job because of his criminal background altho he has a medical assistant degree. He's so broken I cry out to Jesus. Mary and all the Saints to intercede for to savexhis soul and convert him to his greayer good I offer him into Mary's hand for the motherly love he needed so badly. I cannot forgive myself for abandoning him as a child especially when he needed me rhe most as a teenager and highbschool where he was caught up and addicted to drugs. He never rook interest in any kind of alcoholic drinks either socially ir at-home ir it couldve been worse. I pray & inagin him in a seminary and singing withbthe EWTN greenest Angelical choir voices. I love listening to them during daily mass. I ask for God's mercy to heal me as I am a stroke & seizure victim, partyizl paralysis, speech issues and partial brain damage which caused my jobbof 25 year lsxof service with the state of Texas causing me to retire before my time the year of 2019. So I've been atruggling since then. offer all my sacrifices, excruciating arthritis pain, suffering from Diabetes i sulin dependent & high nloid pressure. Osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, etc. fasting, daily Rosaries & Divine Mercy prayers, Novena and EWTN mass, the lives if the saints and Father Chris Alar's Understanding &Teaching the Faith which he does not acknowledge. I don't know how else I can reach him but TrustvinnJesus and giveing him.up to the Holyv. Family and in my Prayers. I see hate in his hazel eyes towards me. Please save his soul and mine for not being a good mother to him. I prsybthstbhexopemsxup his heart to forgive me. I too ask Hesus to have Mercy o me. I ruined my life by marrying to this man I knew nothing about. I wanted to be a sister in christ as I attended 2 convents and attended most of my school in. Catholic Schools. I was so nsuve & blind that I fell into tempatoon. My mind was set to be in the sisterhood to serve Jesus. Forgive me Lord..

I too would like to share my story. My daughter took her life too. Since then my husband returned to church. I was afraid for her soul so we had 2 Gregorian masses for her and we started going to Monday novena too. We flooded heaven with prayers for her. 14 months later, on her birthday, as I awaited mass to start I addressed God the Father and said “Here I am Lord, what can I do for you today?” In my mind I heard/saw Lord Jesus…looked like Divine Mercy without the blue outfit and He said “joy”. I immediately apologized saying my heart was heavy and not doing a good job of it but I will do a better job of it. He said, “No, joy because (he gave my daughter’s name) is with me today.” God bless you all and we must pray!

My husband took his life 10 years ago, days after our daughter’s wedding. My mom’s lutheran pastor happened to be at the funeral home when his body was brought in. Immediately, he took it upon himself to drive out to my mom’s senior apartment and tell her about it. He completely ignored me and my kids. My mom then called all the family to tell them about it. I didn’t find this out until years later, after my mom passed. A cousin of mine told me she thought I wanted everyone to know. My kids and I were in total shock and this was the very last thing we needed! That same pastor also told me my husband went straight to hell. Fortunately, my husband was a practicing Catholic. The Priest who did his burial told us that no, he wasn’t sent to hell. He told us that God has a special place for people who do die by suicide. This made so much more sense! I could not believe that God would turn his back on a practicing Christian. Knowing my husband for 37 years at the time, I know he died praying. People and Christian’s can be so cruel. It’s been so difficult to forgive my mom and her pastor! Thank you for addressing this sensitive topic. I pray for your grandmother, too.

Wow! That was the most moving talk I have heard. I was moved to tears by the grace of God's mercy! In 2017, I returned to the Catholic church after 34 years. The year prior, I had stumbled across a set of novenas that I was praying for a friend in the Anglican church. I was really moved by these novenas and once, after praying the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I was given the name of a Deacon I knew from a previous church. I called him and he said he had just been given my name in prayer as well, and interestingly enough, he had just been given a painting of what he called "The Sacred Heart of Jesus." I went to see the painting, and we prayed together. A year later, I had been feeling the Lord pulling me away from the Anglican church. I had decided to join a Pentecostal church, but all of a sudden, I came across a form my son, Levi, brought home from school to register for First Communion. When I mentioned the form that night at dinner, his eyes filled with tears, I felt the Holy Spirit hit me in the chest, as he begged me to sign him up! A week later, after we met with our priest, I went to confession for the first time! I was so afraid to go, but I knew I had to do it, so I took courage and walked out the door. I got to church and went back to the confessional, and standing next to the confessional door was the same picture I had gone to see the year before! But I found out it was called The Divine Mercy! Father Dan was visiting from the Divine Mercy Shrine in Stockbridge, sharing the message of mercy. I stayed for the mass, and returned that evening with my son for another talk. We purchased a diary, a rosary, and both an image of Divine Mercy as well as a portrait of Pope John Paul II. My son, actually used his birthday money for the rosary and the painting of JP2! I found the video of Divine Mercy Chaplet in song, which lead me to order copies of sheet music, which lead me to join our church choir, as well as play music for my son's school masses. In 2019, I discovered Fr. Don Calloway on CZcams, and after watching several talks, I discovered he is from MIC as well. I have been blessed in abundance by the message of mercy, and it has become my mission to share this message with everyone I know. During quarantine, I printed out the image from your website and hand painted 75 copies, sending them to friends and family in Canada and the US. I thank God so much, for the work you and the brothers of MIC have done, and the blessings they have brought to so many people. My son and I hope to one day make a pilgrimage to the shrine. Thank you so much, and God bless you!!! And by the way....I have FINALLY become a Marian Helper!!!

Dear Father Chris, I have recently found your talks on CZcams and I am learning so much more. This talk, well I cried a lot. I let God lead me to click on your talks, and this one well, showed me how I need to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for my cousin who hung himself at age 30 almost twenty years ago. I will never forget the deep sorry of my aunt and uncle sitting in the front row of the Catholic Church, with a photo of my Cousin of his first Communion Day to the side of his coffin. My Aunt told me that the police knocked on her door, and showed her a photo of her son, in the body bag. She will never forgot that. Her first born son a few years later died of an asthma attack on her kitchen floor. Two tragedies, two sons gone, for a couple who have endured so much.
And yet my Aunt kept saying, my shoulders are wide. She accepting her suffering, never complaining, saying God only allows as much as I can bear.
    She doesn’t go to Mass.
I now am praying my Divine Mercy Chaplet for my two cousins, because of your talk.
I already started praying for my Aunt and Uncle after your talk about Divine Mercy and conversion of souls at 3pm.
I began watching this talk, which as you said was also on Tragedy, and in the evening here in Australia, we learnt on the news of the Massacre of the little children and their teachers in Texas. Our hearts here are breaking with yours in America.

This is very true. I remember I found out that my mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was 11/12 years old. We lived in Poland but she flew to Canada (joined my sister who was living there already) to get better treatment as the doctors in Poland were giving her only 6 months to live. We lived in Canada when I was a young child and we became citizens which guaranteed her a better chance with the health system in place. A few months later my father and I flew to Canada and rejoined eachother. She was able to get another 7 years with the treatment she got but I lost my mother in March 2006 at the age of 18. I remember going to the hospital one night to say our goodbye which broke me. I wasn't even able to say a word, I just hugged her and looked her in the eyes. I had asked God to heal her for 7 years and I felt betrayed. The night before she passed away I asked God to take her, and I used some strong words in my prayer that I shouldn't have but I pleaded with God to end her suffering and to take her to Him. The next morning my father came down to my room and told me that my mom had passed in the company of my two older sisters. I felt numb, I didnt shed a tear until later that evening. Thats when I started slipping away from God and the faith. I never stopped believing but I would miss church on a regular basis, I did things I usually wouldn't do, fell into drugs, alcoholism, porn addiction. I was lucky enough to have my girlfriend with me throughout the entire process to give me support and a shoulder to cry on.
Time went on and wounds slowly healed. I ended up marrying that girlfriend and we now have two kids, my son who is nearly 8 and my daughter who is nearly 3. I thank God for the gift of this family of mine every single day, and I realize that if it weren't for my mom getting sick I would have never travelled across the ocean and met the girl that became my wife. I wouldn't have the gift of my children and all the special moments we share together. Who knows how life would have worked out if we stayed in Poland. While my mom was alive we were super close, I loved making her laugh and spending time with her, however I was never all that close with my father. We would say hi and bye to eachother without really ever spending time and talking. My mom's death, though very unfortunate, brought my father and I closer together. It was a hard time and we didn't always see eye to eye and even said some hurtful words to eachother but in the end we love eachother very much. Back in 2010 my father decided to leave Canada and move back to Poland where we have more family and a home. When he left we were on a no speaking terms and I didn't even say a word to him when my sisters forced me to come along to drop him off at the airport. We spent the next year without communicating with eachother. Then for lent I had gone to confession and told the priest about how I left things off with my father and after some time he convinced me to reach out to him and just talk. I thank that priest for giving me that assignment as we both ended up apologising to eachother and our bond became stronger than ever.
There are many more things that have caused me to fall flat on my face in the last 10 years but I am so glad I am here today, and I want to thank you Fr. Chris and I thank God for calling you up to the priesthood. You have helped me immensely with finding myself back to the church. Thanks to your videos I have gone to confession for the first time in over 10 years, I recieve the Most Sacred Sacrament every week, and whenever I can I try to go more than just the one time. I go to Eucharistic adoration at least 5 times a week and pray daily to not fall into temptation. I don't ever want to be seperated from the Lord for as long as I live. I feel at peace now, where before I was living in constant worry over daily troubles. I carry my Divine Mercy Image with me everywhere I go and Trust in Him more than ever. Again thank you for your service, you are helping bring us back to God, may God Bless you!

Now we couldn’t find a doctor because she was so far along so finally 10 weeks later I find an elderly doctor that said OK I’ll take her and then when he did the ultrasound he said you’re not 31 weeks you’re only 21 weeks so God changed the ultrasound when she went to have the abortion but weeks earlier it was a true miracle so Michael‘s life was saved! My husband and I raised Michael for seven years like baby Jesus and then my daughter moved in with her now husband who was also an athiest & life became a nitemare for Michael & by 15 he git into drugs & meth and I have never given up! I'm sorry about your gramma, father Chris. thank you for sharing your experience with us. it really takes the shame out of the idea of suicide for me ... the way you speak on it. I obviously didn't succeed & I have since changed my tune ... thank you Jesus & Mary, but I can attest to the pain & shame associated with suicide. it is utter agony before the choice to end one's life. utter agony, for years sometimes. I believe most suicides go straight to God. honest suicides. by that I mean a person who kills themselves in total & complete hopelessness. I didn't not love God...I just couldn't go on. I couldn't face the abuse any longer & my issues from my life had overwhelmed me. I'm so grateful God didst allow me to succeed in my attempt. I'm in medication now for depression & it really works. I took a chance & told the doctors the truth about how I was feeling & what I was thinking. I allowed them to help me. things change. time is needed to heal us up sometimes from tragedies. sometimes the agony is too great to survive the time needed. only God can judge that agony & honesty behind the suicide. thank you for reading so far if you're still with me! ; )

Fr Chris the emotion in your voice retelling that final confirmation to be a Priest, right there is mercy in words untold! Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable and honest, God bless you from the bottom of my heart i thank the Lord for your ministry. I cannot put into words here, and having watched your weekly videos, during this particular one I have wept from my inner most being. I truly believe this has brought healing in both areas i knew i needed, and areas i have yet to understand i need healing. A dear friend once said to me “life is a journey home to God” i don’t question my suffering at all, i thank God for the redemptive work he is doing through it, I may be broken but i know enough to humbly say ‘Thank you Lord for all you are doing at this time’. To anyone reading this, always have hope, always. Fr Chris if only you could see in our hearts the goodness you are planting, thank you so much! 🙏🏻🌹
