- Why Does God Allow Suffering?
Human suffering is a mystery. But in the light of Christ's redemptive suffering, it is not without meaning. Father Chris explains in this episode of Explaining the Faith.

Its really hard to suffer but since the day my late brother ( ex seminarian) told me about offering every little suffering for the souls in purgatory...I always suffer all my pain/suffering to souls in purgatory,for peace and conversion. Just last June 2021 when my brother died...I told GOD that I will offer all my sufferings(physical,emotional, psychologial,etc) for the rest of my life to the souls in purgatory, relatives, friends,unborn children,my parents,my son and my only brother. 🙏🙏🙏❤ I hope and pray GOD accepts all my offering.
The Catholic Church has kept my daughter alive. She is now in her 30's. When she went through middle school and high school at her darkest time, (thank God for Confirmation classes,), she told me not to worry about her commiting suicide, because she wanted to e able to go to heaven and be with Jesus and her grandparents. She believed that if she committed suicide, she would not go to heaven. I am grateful that she is still here. 🙏 🕊✝️
This speech gave me relief and believe me, I am suffering greatly! This eased my pain. I hope it last
Father I was in Medjugorge 4years ago and praying the sorrowful rosary at a beautiful cross of Jesus a sweet voice I heard but ignored it "I THIRST" continued the rosary and again a small voice said "I Thirst." Carried on the rosary. I finished the rosary abd went off for lunch with the people in my group. On the way into the evening Mass I heard it again but it was an outer voice loud and clear "I THIRST" it took Jesus 3 times for me to realise it was Jesus speaking to me. I went to confession and spoke about it to the priest he said your mission is saving souls. For many many years I have been doing the "LIFE OFFERING PRAYER". My suffering began when I was 16 and I am now 72 still suffering but God us with me who can be against me. Jesus I love you and I trust in you. Amen and Amen.
Through my pains and sufferings LORD, I beg YOU to accept them for the forgiveness of al our sins and the salvation of all our souls. Thank and praise YOU LORD. Amen.

I am truely suffering and this gave me so much hope and encouragement for my suffering. My wife is divorcing me, I lost my job, I am now homeless, I am also fighting a legal case, etc, etc... Please pray for me and all that are suffering to suffer with courage and purpose in God.

Fr. Chris, this talk has given me so much to contemplate on. My son took his own life 15 months ago and I have been struggling with depression and extreme sadness ever since. He was the one person that understood me and I could rely on. I have felt so lost and looking for God’s direction for me now. Suffering brings you to Your knees and closer to God
My dad was paralyzed 100percent from a brain that stem stroke and he suffered over 2 years it was his suffering that had the holy ghost bring me to out holy church now I'm part in the true bride I suffer a lot in ways I wish not to say but I do and I am willing to except all Tha is Willed I love u Jesus I love u holy Mary my mommy ❤

My general wondering on why christians aren't Catholics stems from all these other Christian denominations say they believe in Jesus but choose not to be part of the church He Himself founded. Then I thought, being a Catholic is "hard" it's teachings carried down from a couple thousand years and the Catholic church rightfully so doesn't change teachings with the times. It's hard to be part of it when everything else is changing. Notice people leave the church because they want the church to form to their beliefs which generally are a lot easier and more lenient instead of them forming to what the church believes.

I think I was too when my biological dad dad left me when I was only 3 months old...but God prepared a better and meaningful life for me and gave me all the love I did not have in my younger years. God is good all the time🙏🙏

I have experienced the same as the man you have encountered before with Fr Alan at White Castle, my only brother, the youngest in the family (he is only 4 years old) died last October 4 of disease, we are devastated, hurt, suffering and out of words. But the Word of God through prayers and especially rosary helped me get through it (little by little). I prayed for my brother and all saints with Holy Mother Mary to help me in praying for the rest of my family and all the people to pray the rosary and offer our sufferings to Heavenly Father for the redemption of souls and to unite us to Him forever.

@@DivineMercy_Official I know God has a plan for us. Just as you said in the story at White Castle, it reflects what we are going through. When my brother was sick it was the Divine Mercy Chaplet that I prayed for, thank to the internet, I found this channel and a preacher like you Fr. My 3 sisters are all lay servant in our local church, as a family we pray every meal together. I am grateful to God that my brother learned how to pray at a very young age. Indeed, God is mercy. God bless you Fr and I will continue praying for Divine Mercy until the end.

We are all human on the face of this earth and suffering is inevitable, so although it is sad to hear of these sufferings, I am grateful that you have shared this with us. Our family has been hit back to back with over six deaths in the barely over a year and our daughter suffering with health problems related to a severe car accident. We have submitted prayer intentions at your chapel. Sometimes through this I struggle with my faith and wonder why all the suffering, so thank you for helping make some sense of all of this. To unite everything to him, despite how imperfectly I do it. God is most deserving of my love because he has suffered everything for me. My mom lost four children 2 full term and two still born
I know my siblings are praying for me
They would have been all older than me . One girl just two years older. I am the baby of my family

Nobody likes to go through suffering. It can be overwhelming and bombarding. A couple of weeks ago, I received a letter saying that I took out a financial loan which never happened at all. And now my mom & I are trying to get this crisis resolved and in the hopes that it won’t happen again. And I look at this identity theft situation from a Old Testament point of view. For example, the book of Job. Job himself went through hardships and misfortunes and I don’t know how long the misfortunes lasted but I do know that he remained faithful towards God. So I sincerely hope and pray that I’ll get this identity theft situation settled once and for all and permanently.

A moment of doubt and resentment about the issues I am facing in my life has led me to this video. This video has given me hope for the circumstances in my life, and maybe it is up to me to come to terms and accept that maybe whatever has happened is indeed for the good, especially for my soul.
