  • 2010 / 60 Rangerover L322 3.6 TDV8 Vogue - Full-Fat Range Rover with superb high specification and FSH
    Few cars have the sheer road presence of a Range Rover Vogue. Our 2010 TDV8 Vogue stands tall and dwarfs other road users. It is finished in metallic Ipanema silver with stunning 19" alloy wheels and aftermarket side steps that give the car real road presence. As you can see the car looks superb with classic Rangerover lines and a muscular body which is complimented by the attractive colour combination. Vogues come with front and rear parking sensors as well as a reversing camera (very useful during tight manoeuvres). This particular car has been my own personal vehicle since January and is registered in my name, and is in daily use.
    This is a car which glides along with limo-like ride quality, yet it also has Rangerovers superb terrain response system which allows you to adjust the cars ride height and 4 wheel drive system to best suit the terrain. Power comes courtesy of the 268bhp, 3.6 litreTDV8 turbo-diesel powerplant which offers the power and refinement this car deserves along with reasonably good (we averaged 30mpg) fuel economy. Thie headline figure for me with this engine is the colossal 640 n/m of torque - more than many supercars and transmits its power via a slick 6 speed ZF automatic gearbox to all 4 wheels (permanent 4 wheel drive).
    There is no denying that this is a big car - Not only does it look large and imposing, it feels large and imposing when you are behind the wheel. You sit high with a commanding view of the road - Even drivers of large MPV's and other 4x4s have to look up to the Range Rover driver. The experience is one of the ultimate in luxury - From your elevated position, looking down on the world you can, quite rightly, feel isolated in the double-glazed Range Rover. The seats are generously proportioned and superbly comfortable. Both front and rear seats have electric heating and the front seats benefit from electric memory adjustment to ensure you have the perfect driving position. Stepping up into the interior of the Range Rover is like stepping into a different world. As you would expect the ride quality is in a class of its own and whole car feels very smooth and refined. Few cars are as comfortable and relaxing to drive as a Range Rover and with the cruise control set to 70 you could happily cover continents in this car.
    In keeping with its position as a top-end, luxury car, our Range Rover has an extraordinary specification. It feels more like a Bentley to drive than it does a typical 4x4. The car glides over road imperfections with ease, and isolates you from the outside world - reminding you that you're piloting something rather special. It is of course still a big car but thanks to excellent visibility it is much easier to drive than you might expect.
    It would take all day to reel off a list of luxuries that are fitted to this RangeRover - So easier to say imagine it has absolutely everything you could imagine in a luxury car, plus the following extras you may not have thought of;
    ✅ TV screen with digital tuner
    ✅ Heated front and rear seats
    ✅ Double-glazed windows
    ✅ Stitched leather interior - The highest quality black hide.
    ✅ Harmon and Kardon hi-fi upgrade - One of the best in-car audio experiences you will find anywhere
    ✅ DAB stereo
    ✅ Bluetooth telephone system
    ✅ Invery Bluetooth music streaming adapter - works through the standard iphone connection.
    ✅ Keyless-go (We have 2x remote keys)
    ✅ Full set of rubber floor mts including boot-liner (In fact we have 2 sets of mats)
    ✅ Rear parking camera plus front and rear parking sensors
    ✅ Adjustable air-ride suspension with selectable ride height and Landrovers terrain response system
    The key to finding a good Range Rover is buying one3 that has been properly looked after. You should avoid examples that have been neglected. Ensure you buy one that has a good service history...
    ✅ Our Range Rover comes with a LONG MOT until October 2023
    ✅ This is a properly looked after car in immaculate condition throughout
    ✅ This car has Full service history as listed below;

    Got a 2008 tdv8 3.6. Had it five years. Tow twin axle caravan. Hardly notice it's behind. Driven all models of rr, but as you say , the l322 tdv8 is the cream. This car has been virtually fault free. Keep them regularly maintained and serviced, neglect, that's where a lot of these lovely vehicles are unwillingly forced to decline rapidly. They Need TLC .
    Totally agree with all your comments 100%

    Been a LR freak for 40 years. Had Off Road driving school in Cornwall, nothing I have not driven.
    Retired now, guess what : L322 3.6 TDV8.
    Buckingham Blue, cream Ox interior. I intend to make if my ever car. One owner from new, 108k. Now two years later 117k. My garage tells me " you only use it once a week to go to town and back " . Ave 100 miles a week, but still service every 3 months. Only fault is dreaded rear wiper, oh and some bubbling on rear arches. Must be 6th or 7th RR and This modern with the 3.6, 270 bhp, is without doubt the BEST.
    The Trick : regular service, keep eye underneath for rust and have a secret Pot of cash for bills, they Will come. Let's face it, she was £130k back in 2009.

      Hey, would you Mind explaining why you find the 3.6 TDV8 best? I`m currently looking for a L323. First i drove was the 3.6 TDV8 and i Had the Feeling that IT might be a bit weak for the 2.7 tons. So i`m looking for a 4.4 TDV8 now but haven`t tested one yet.

  • @dave216dx
    @dave216dx Před 7 měsíci +1

    Your right they are they best. Actually on the 4.4 they use a smaller turbo for higher rpm boost which is rather clever but yes the 3.6 set up works far better. I have to correct you also because you say the turbos just go". If the car has regular oil changes at 10k ks or less (as any turbo diesel should) with good quality oil (preferably oil with high zinc content if you don't have dpf's).. with both sump plugs removed when draining ... and you let the turbos warm up and cool down they should just about last the life of the engine! I have 350k ks on mine and the turbos are original and fine!
    People that go thru turbos either don't service as they should and or have no idea about looking after them. Just like the transmissions in these cars will go forever if serviced regularly and looked after

    I first learned to drive at age 11 on my grandfather's farm in my dad's Volvo 122S Amazon. I am 60 now & for the life of me I cannot understand why an able-bodied man would want automatic transmission. I once borrowed an automatic (a 2.2 litre Toyota) for about 20 minutes & that was enough for me - I'll never drive an automatic ever again (unless I am unlucky enough to lose a leg). They are absolutely dreadful things in my opinion

    • @AshtonsCars
      @AshtonsCars  Před rokem

      Most important is to buy one that is well maintained and has not been abused or neglected. They are not cheap cars to run so some owners cut corners on maintenance. I'd rather buy one with higher miles and service history than a lower mileage one where it has been mis-treated, if that makes sense. :)

  • @sisyphussapprentice8976
    @sisyphussapprentice8976 Před 9 měsíci +2

    Would have one in a shot if it wasn't for the simple fact that it would cost me £30 a week just to park it on the drive. (Tax and ins). I can live with the MPG as a small price to pay, as I only do about 3000 miles per annum, but 700 hundred flaming quid for the privilege of negotiating the potholes is criminal.
    So I'll stick with my old discovery for the time being, but even that has gone up by a £100.😭😭😭

      @AshtonsCars  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I feel your pain!! Add in ULEZ and it's a total nightmare for many people. Much as the L322 is one of my favourite cars of all time you certainly do pay a premium to own one. Especially with the current prices of insurance.
