@@hollowkid97 I think what makes an attack interesting is when it comes out of nowhere and is very sudden. However in this scene everyone is just staring at Kidd and watch him unleash his attack, which felt very anticlimactic. Doesnât help when Kiddâs attack are very predictable. Like maybe If Apoo at least tried attacking Kidd instead of standing there it wouldâve been more interesting
Well, a move that already causes so much destruction just to get formed...should not really be a quick thing, considering all the specific materials needed to form that big hand. Especially with how theyâre trying to show how heâs savouring that moment.
The point of Punk Gibson was to surprise Apoo with a huge devastating attack without him anticipating it, not having him stare at Kidd for the whole duration of Dressrosa and portraying Kidd as someone who needs half a decade to release one attack lol

This was absolute fire. The static they added as if all the electromagnetism was affecting the screen was such a cool detail. But I swear to god if I have to see Tama eating red bean soup one more time I'm gonna lose it.
They really overdid those Tama flashback, like, if they wanna do filler then just make Luffy and Zoro punching some fodder, would be for a bit of entertainment at least

As a major major kidd fan that was so exciting to see, i saw him in a trailer for stampede a year ago and i loved his design and decided to watch one piece, a year later iâm caught up and finally get to see more of him!!!!!!!

I like Kid's straightforward fighting style more than most, it's a bit refreshing tbh. He's just a dude with a sick power who doesn't need to go 3000iq with it to hold his own (even though he could!) and I respect that

It would be too long to make it work and only a week to do it
Honestly, I think that it suited the scene quite well all things, sure, standing still in any scene has a habit of being bland, but the fact that they did not make him rage out like luffy does shows the more sinister side of Kidd, he enjoys revenge, and enjoys making people suffer, even the attack itself seemed intentionally slow as it did not just plow right through the wall as soon as it made contact.
So personally, I view it as a sign of Kidds controlled rage.

Most animes aren't weekly so it's not really a fair comparison. Even with the limits that they have they still made some great episodes. They will have their poor moments, but that is all for the sake of other moments being stronger.

Now i see why Kidd doesn't have enough screentime. His freaking attacks require 3D animation. The amount of objects he collects is insane. Also that punch must have been no big deal since i saw Apoo doing alright on the next ep trailer
You know the story is based on a anime right? And that Kidd uses the same powers in EP 400
zoro cutting the throat of a guy was what surprised me the most in this episode quite brutal for the one piece standarts, at least from what you see in the anime.
one piece is really weird with that, sometimes they show a lot of blood while sometimes there is no blood, sometimes they dont show the violence and sometimes they do

It did drag on but the attack itself was so satifying it made it worth it.
I think that was the point they were trying to hype up the moment Kidd gets his revenge and besides they're just chilling until the rooftop happens where animation is going to go wild

I do love the static effect on the screen as if though Kidd's magnetism is so powerful, it's affecting the camera as well.
That sound Appoo makes when he gets hit is so satisfying for some reason.
Not one of the better interpreted scenes for this arc. There's no way Apoo would be idiotically staring at kidd build that attack up only for him to shout "KIDD!" in a surprised manner as Kidd slowly leaps at him to smash him into a wall. Not saying this needed the movie quality treatment but they could have directed this scene a bit better is all.
I guess it's in real-time for the Characters lol.

I don't think Apoo was ever anyone's favorite supernova, but I'm certain he's now everyone's least favorite. Kidd was so in the right for this attack. Apoo is the one that lead Kaido to them. He's why Killer ate the SMILE fruit. His crew scattered to who knows where and he being captured. All of it was Apoo's fault.
Indeed, and he's also what will lead to kaido's defeat when it ends technicallyđ
honestly not sure, I like his music gimmick but I guess he is. It used to be Capone by far, but then we find out how savvy and analytical he is in wholecake island. Second was Urouge.. but then we know he beat a sweet commander. I guess its between Drake and Apoo. But I actually LIKE Drake, the thing is we don't know a ton of his personality because he's meant to be mysterious as he's a secret agent of sword.
I really like how little scruples Apoo has.

Animation is ok. Pacing is terrible. But the art style is perfect.
Apoo has actually shown an impressive amount of durability in the Wano arc. His armament haki must be pretty decent.

This scene is great, and it's awesome to see Toei going all out on the budget for Wano. But meaaaan was this long. Even if you hand wave how long his "surprise" attack took to wind up as Cinematic Timing, that's one helluva stretch with creative liberty.
