- Our very first guest on the NewAfrica Podcast is none other than James Barnor - one of Africa’s greatest photojournalists, and arguably the godfather of photography in Ghana, he was the pioneer of colour photography & colour processing in Ghana.
He has since been awarded the Order of the Volta - which is the 3rd highest national award in Ghana - for his outstanding contribution to Ghana’s development. He has also been awarded an honorary fellowship by the Royal Photographic Society, his photographs have been exhibited in the Tate Modern & Victoria & Albert museums, and the New York Times recently wrote a fantastic feature article on him.
Born in 1929, James Barnor's ability to tell stories and capture key moments in time, through his photographs, will transport you through the decades.

94, and he's still so bright! Incredible - I hope to be as sparky as he is at his age.
Very happy to see more New Africa content! This channel helped me develop a far better understanding and love of Africa and it’s history!

Personal opinon, get rid of all the background music. Let the content stand for itself.
We love the background music... Totally love it
You mean the intro music, because there was no music during the interview, so get your problems together. Intro music is a normal thing for podcasts to put you in the mood. Leave the music!
@@oslonorway547exactly, there is only music in a minute and a half of a program lasting more than ninety minutes.
I think we can handle some music in 1/60th of the video time
@andrewm6786 Hey Andrew, thanks for the feedback, but there isn’t actually any music during the interview - it’s only in the intro 😊
@@oslonorway547tell them the music 🎵 is a nice touch
James Barnor should definitely go on Warfare of Art & Law Podcast as a guest speaker sometime. Would be a excellent fit. Looking forward to hearing more KB Taiwo narrations.
