    I’ve been straight up binging your guys’ videos for weeks and catching up on everything! I want to buy a bus in the spring and I cannot tell you how much your videos have HELPED SO MUCH while I’m planning my blueprints! You guys are so unbelieving good at explaining things and getting great camera shots and being detailed in how you explain what you’re doing! Plus you guys constantly crack me up with your that’s what she said jokes and little snide remarks here and there. 😂 I think it would be so. cool. to meet up with you guys once we’re all on the road! Best wishes and I hope we can talk soon!

    Great video! Thank you for sharing. We got a same refrigerator in our Skoolie we are building. How did you secure your fridge from moving? Framed the bottom?
    We are using extruded aluminum for framework instead of wood. So it will be different but we wanted to see how others do. Have a great day!

      Thank you so much! And that is so exciting, I did not attach it actually. After quite a few trips now it has not moved an inch. But I did add some hidden hooks so I can put bungee cords across incase of movement

    Now that it has been 2 years I am wondering how the fridge has held up and what the average daily power consumption has been? I am planning to have 300 Ah of lifepo batteries and an inverter and want to make sure it doesn't kill them in a day. TIA

      Hello! I have not been having an issue with the fridge at all and it has been staying around 95% full capacity when it is running

    I might have not been able to find it- but do y'all have a video on why you chose the appliances you did? I'm in the thick of mini-split, fridge, etc. buying and I'd love to know more about your choices!

    G'day your doing a good job of the window seals Paco they are not easy I had the same trouble in my workshop which I lined out with ply similar to what you and Meredith have done, and I found it would split too if you weren't careful. The fridge looks very nice and it's a good size, are you going to install it on a plinth? As you could put cheap led's on the kick board for night time use. Anyway good to see you again stay safe and well and use a face mask in public kind regards John

      Thank you John! Yeah we will have to be careful of that for sure. We havnt thought of that for the fridge we will have to think about that!

    What made you choose the new fridge? Solar concerns/requirements? How does it compare to the old one?

    • @GustheStruggleBus
      @GustheStruggleBus  Před 3 lety

      This is the one we planed on getting all along, my parents had their RV parked out there and we borrowed their fridge while they were not using it. It has been fine with the solar so far and use a little less than the other!

      @@GustheStruggleBus Hi! Been following along for some time and got the 7 cu ft version for my short bus. Do you notice that it pulls alot more power than expected? My 200 ah bank is drained by 4 am on the lowest setting before bed. I have 400w on the roof, 3k invertor, and renogy lithium batteries. Any tips on not letting the fridge kill my bank?

  • @wright_vibes

    Did you plug the fridge in the wall socket or did you wire it into a fuse block? I have mine in the wall socket which leads to the inverter. Sadly the inverter dies very often. Wondering if I should be wiring it to the fuse block instead?

    • @GustheStruggleBus
      @GustheStruggleBus  Před 3 lety

    Paco, it looks good . but what will you do if a window gets broken ? Rip it all out....

    • @GustheStruggleBus
      @GustheStruggleBus  Před 3 lety

      Just replacing the glass is not to hard. In order to access the entire window we would have to not build a wall

    Have you had any issues with the refrigerator? I just bought the 12 cu ft. one and it will not get cold. I noticed that when it's been on for a few hours the light up temperature setting inside starts flashing. I contacted Galanz and they said it could take up to 48hrs for then to get back to me.
