    From my experience cycling is anytime time better option than joining costly Gyms..I lost 8kg from 85 to 77kg in only one month. Also it boosts your confidence level in any task.

      @@javedhusain9879 bro I had excess fat and I calculated it on bmi index machine where I found my muscles improved visceral was down from 9 to 7 and fat was the mainly reduced and hence my weight was lost🙂

      @@mudassirkhan1346 I've bought a single speed cycle recently and lost 1kg in a week of 5km rides each day, I think it's best for weight loss. You put less effort on geared cycle, when weight loss is your goal, less effort isn't the objective. Of course, if in future you want to ride 50KM or more, geared cycle will be better, but I plan to ride less than 20Km per day, so single speed is good for me. You've to decide based on your need. Geared cycle has more maintenance and you need to spend at least 17k-20k for a good cycle. But you can get a great single speed cycle below 10K.

    Couldn't have said it any better!!! I've to agree what you've mentioned is more or less what I did and it has worked wonders....But one thing that I like to add is consistency can only be maintained as long as you love what you do, the moment you start working towards it things tend to automatically fall in place...So try different thing see what works-out for you!!!

    Jaggery glycemic index is more than sugar tht we use. So ideally we should not have jaggery if we want to cut down on carbs.

    Started 15days ago. Ride approx 15km everyday. My longest ride is 25km till now. Started with 14 km ride, enjoy it, my cycle is a old Octane recra which i bought 6-7 years ago.

    I do 18 km daily for a few months now. Yes I have seen my average speed increase from 18kmph to 24kmph. I hav lost more than 10kgs. Would you recommend me the same?. Please note I go for 4 km walks in afternoon and in the evening.

      Awesome, You may keep riding regularly and increase the distance as per your wish. If I have to say then 10kms will be enough. It will take maximum 2 months :)

    Aap nay kaafi kaam ki batay batai....1. Dont weigh yourself till 6 months 2. Consistency 3. No sugary or fried food 4. Ghar ka khaana...yeh sab may kaafi hud tak follow ker rahi hoon and i can see the results..not drastically but gradually i am on my way...its been 3 months now....may nay weighing scale ko daikha b nahi..but kapray ki fitting kaafi loose ho rahi hay...thank you brother

      Then, never count calories!
      If you have an aim to lose weight then keep focus on doing workouts, good diet and taking care of the bike. 🤗🚲👍

    I am expecting your answer for my serious problem.
    I am inspired by your weight loss journey & start cycling since one month as well as control over calorie intake ( 300 calorie deficit as budgeted calories ).
    But after one month there is no change in weight , felling disappointed .
    Please advice

      Let me attempt to answer your question.
      It depends how many kms you are riding. If you are riding above 20kms each day then it's good workout. But you need to focus more on your nutrition. Diet is not about cutting your calorie. Infact when you do a exerting workout you need good amount of calories to recover your body and when you don't give your body start to take break down your muscles which will lead to lower in metabolic rate.
      Low metabolic rate is key in weight loss program. Take some nutritionist help. I hope this helps.

      I lost 15Kgs in 3months.
      If you are not losing weight, then your calorie calculations are wrong.
      Just forget about the calorie calculations, push yourself to put more effort in workouts and east healthy, don't count calories. Listen to me carefully, DON'T count your calories, it'll only take away your time and peace of mind.
      Here is a strategy for you: INTERMITTENT FASTING!
      Just normal healthy diet for breakfast and lunch, and completely skip dinner. It'll be difficult for 3-4 days but after that you'll get used to it. Now you needn't not count calories and eat without limiting yourself for 2 meals. Put good effort in your workouts and push yourself, but remember don't overdo it, listen to your body and take rest days. Your body needs rest too. Sleep at least 7-8 hours and remember to drink a lot of water. Eat a small snack 1hour before workout or have a meal 3 hours before workout.
      You'll see the scale drop. It happened to me, it'll happen to you too. Don't lose hope. Think about being healthy, rather than losing weight, even after losing weight think that you should be healthy forever. Fitness is a lifestyle not a means to look good or lose weight.

      Please don't loose heart it takes years to gain weight ....give it time atleast 6 months to notice difference ......you can start boiling some ginger and fennel seeds and start having that tea after every meal ....after drinking that water two hours no food and half an hour no water intake....will help you to digest faster and double your weight loss programme. Pls keep going and try this along with it

    I ride 15 kms in an hour
    I do jogging for 20 minutes about 3km
    Push-ups about 50 per day
    Dumbbells work-out for 30 mins
    My weight is 90 kg
    Height 5'7

      For Weight loss we prefer to do longer rides and for doing longer rides the bike should have thinner wheels. So, I think you may try a hybrid bike. MTB have thicker tyres, that are better for rough roads but thicker tyres are tougher for longer rides. 😄👍

    Boss, last year november 1 to December 1 I lost 10.6 kg, but this month I lost only 8 kg as same as ( 15km) with same energy and constant speed 23km/h but there is not any change in body size like my pant size if 36 in November and today ( 27/01/22) is same as 36 what should I do now. Pls tell

      If someone have goals to build muscle then gym is best and if someone is trying to lose weight then doing cardio in gym is not that exciting as cycling in open nature.

    Bhaiya mein 16 years ka hu mujhe puchna thaa ki cycle ko low gaers pe chalane se height badhiti hai ya tight gear pe (like 3 in front and 6 in back)please gear combination bata do height growth and weight loss(my cycle is a hybrid cycle , hercules roadoe fugitive 26t ).

      firefox bad attitude series is great. I bought the bad attitude 10 recently and it's great. BA 8,9 are a bit cheaper, not much difference. You can go for them.

      We build much stronger legs but our upper body lose some muscle if we do long rides of around 50km or more daily. You may add some body weight workouts 3-4 times a week for better muscle mass on upper body.

      @@BlueriderAjay my main reason is to reduce my belly fat. I do cycling, skipping and walking.
      From now for upper body I will add planks, push-ups, pull ups, etc. So that I keep body in shape and gain some muscles.
      I can't go for gym.
