Al Pacino is in my opinion the best film actor ever. The monologue he does later in the film his extraordinary, and this scene too. His acting is so real and powerful. Watching him perform is amazing.
Powerful performance in a terrific film. Always been a favourite...Savage cutting scenes like this and the hilarious scenes with Jack Warden. A definite roller coaster ride.
Let's show Larry Bryggman some love too, y'all. The rhythm of the exchange, the ratcheting of the intensity up to the revelation of Agee's death, depends on the interplay between the two characters. Great scene!

Powerful, well-made and well-acted film. The story of Ralph Agee was such a key point in this movie, one of those souls forgotten and lost in our over-booked justice system, without Kirkland there he never stood a chance. Still holds true today.
And Justice for All is one of the greatest movies ever made. It's certainly one of the most underrated. When you feel empathy for the character even though you know it's not really happening, that's brilliant acting
I saw this film back in the day when I was about 12, I'm now 52. I'm not exaggerating when I say it has lived with me my whole life. Especially this scene. Just a desperate, loveless level of society & people who you hope care, just don't give a s**t. I think the only thing that changed, is that it's gotten worse
@@crypastesomemore8348 Which makes you wonder just how much worse it was before the industrial age? Here the accused went to jail due to lack of attention and care from his substitute lawyer. In the 19th century, he wouldn't even have a trial. Heck, he wouldn't even be a free citizen to begin with in this country. Sure, we're better than before. @@crypastesomemore8348 That's debatable, considering how mass destruction is far more widely available now. Go to somewhere outside of the West and tell them all how peaceful things are.
I actually find the transitioning scene from his sentencing where he expected to get off on probation, to this, to be incredibly upsetting and disturbing, as we never actually see it happen when he gets locked up. Like literally as soon as he got locked up, he most likely would've hung himself almost straight away, due to negligence on the lawyer's behalf who was filling in. That's just horrible.
I was the "One" who gave you a thumbs down. Not because of your empathy for Agi. We all know an Agi who in one way or another we try to protect them from "That of which they do not know". "Al lives life with passion"....I was Featured in TRAILER for DANNY COLLINS, film with Al (Mr. Pacino to be respectful) and he threw me his Handkerchief while singing. I handed it to the actress beside me as instructed by Dan Fogelman;, director, her cousin. She was great! I had no idea who she was for 3 days until Dan started measuring the area where 'we were standing at The Greek Theatre, Hollywood, CA and he hugged her. Rarely done these days with the "The Me too Movement". No one DARES hug another person. I use to be a Hugger. I hugged EVERYONE out of love and respect which I started doing in ITALY 1973 US Army. Al Pacino is in my opinion the best film actor ever. The monologue he does later in the film his extraordinary, and this scene too. His acting is so real and powerful. Watching him perform is amazing.
I have gone by the garage scene location many times on Fayette St by City Hall.
Powerful performance in a terrific film. Always been a favourite...Savage cutting scenes like this and the hilarious scenes with Jack Warden. A definite roller coaster ride.
I LOVE THAT SCENE ❤️❤️❤️
I agree. Great acting by Al Pacino. Shows what a great actor he's always been.
Loved loved loved this movie!!!
Let's show Larry Bryggman some love too, y'all. The rhythm of the exchange, the ratcheting of the intensity up to the revelation of Agee's death, depends on the interplay between the two characters. Great scene!
My first thought on seeing Larry Bryggman is "Who the Hell let Dr. John out of Oakdale?!?!" Lol!!!!
God, look at him! This is not acting, this cannot be acting! Al is not actor, Al plays every character like its him, that versatility, that conviction! my goodness! Being all these, he is so humble and kind. I love Al sm.
What I noticed about Mr Pacino as a human being was his utter humility, ego-void personality, and his simplicity.
Thank you for this Al Pacino gem! Acting 101 right here...
Wow a scene and am all emotional. That’s incredible. But its not just the scene these things actually happen to people. That judge couldnt care less. Very sad.
All the actors in this movie were fantastic.
One of the best dramatic actors of the 20th century, love his work he cannot, be denied.
Saw this movie in the theatre in 1979, fabulous movie.
When people ask me what my favorite movie of all time is--I say, And Justice for All.
4:37 I felt that 😪
Al Pachino is the best actor Everrrtrrrr
We used to watch movies for the performances. What a legend Al Pacino is. What happened to us? GODDAMMIT!!!!
Great movie. Sure it's old, but it still resonates. Many reasons why Al Pacino is one of the great actors of our time.
He's always my favourite
It's sad we don't see him more
I always wanted to be a lawyer and was watching this while i was preparing for my law entrance test. I had to pause the movie and sit back after watching this scene, and i kept repeating to myself that i can't be a lawyer. I'm not strong enough for this.
From the golden age of wonderful storytelling.
Great movie. Unlike the garbage Hollywood puts out today.
One of if not the greatest actor of all time
Powerful, well-made and well-acted film.
This is my favorite scene of his, the rage and anguish is so real. The man is a genius method actor.
You live in the most prosperous and peaceful times in human history. Never forget that.
But we still have a long, long way to go before there's justice for all.
@@crypastesomemore8348 That's debatable, considering how mass destruction is far more widely available now. Go to somewhere outside of the West and tell them all how peaceful things are.
What a very powerful, and emotional scene. .., 😢😢
Agi was one of my favorite characters, and the fact agi didn't get justice still hurts me. Such was the system years ago...or so it seems...
That thumbs down came from the last few words you wrote.
..."the system years ago" has not changed one iota from then, from the Roman times, back before Babalonia and those very slick Sumarians. Do you really think ANY of that "ILK died off?
All that happened was the veneer that coats this form of Domination gets another coat of human Injustice for All.
@@singmenow4u I was gonna say the same my man. Back then? No, back then, currently, and as far into the future as I can safely predict. It's a completely broken system and all who get involved, even with good intentions, eventually fall in line.👍
LOL they've been putting men in women's prisons for years & you're still crying about imaginary oppression invented by Hollywood
the judge was no bl sh er !!!
He should have won the Oscar for this movie.
Thanks for posting, Ed Gorbey.
All he had to do was 'Open the Envelope'. His philosophy, 'They are a dime a dozen'. Pacino does have TREMENDOUS passion. In his work and in real life. Italians do that ALWAYS. These days it is called 'sexual harassment' in USA, sadly. Jesus Christ people we are destroying each other. Isn't the Pandemic enough? It is wonderful when we can work with actors like AL PACINO. On and Off stage he is a master at life and just BE REAL with one another! Bless you, Merry Christmas 2021
omg. This one scene is the only thing I know about this film but I have absolutely got to watch this now. One of the few Pacino films I haven't watched. That's it! No more spoilers! T.Y. Mr. Gorbey! Cheers!
WHAT?
YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER
One of the best actors of all time. ALL-TIME!
An Earnest Thanks for Uploading From A Cineholic Soul & Dedicated Al Pacino Fan...
Mutual respect
anyone else notice the bass was turned down in this movie?
They made better films back then. Authentic stories about real people's lives and their real emotions. They still make some great films but good luck finding them.
Great performance that's why Al Pacino is one of my favorite actors and one of the best!
That line he is dead is so good it's breaks me every time
I remember that when it came out. Just a very good movie with incredible acting, no shooting and great other violence. They do not make movies like that anymore.
You could watch Good Time, its a 2017 movie directed by Safdie brothers, it has similat themes as And justice for all. I think you'll enjoy it!! (i can't say you can compare it with And justice for all, but still)
@@teonarusu7934 that's a great movie
@@John-sr2hr i'm glad you watched it!! :D
Best actor ever...
Intense and incredible acting. One of Pacino's best movies.
Directed by Norman Jewison, one of the greatest of all time.
that's his last name for real ?
No doubt, one of THE best...
Al Pacino as the bleeding heart liberal lawyer. Great performance!
He is so goddamn good
Brilliant, thankyou
First time seeing this I’m going to watch the whole movie, great scene
Never heard of this film. This was indeed a magnificent scene. Gonna watch it now.
You see the difference between the two lawyers one who actually cares and the other one who just wants big bucks and all, Friznell is just one of the many corrupt lawyers and Arthur fights for anyone and tires himself out
Saw this when it came out in Australia in early 1980 ... packed quite a wallop then, and still today
Al Paccino seems to be one of Johnny Depp lawyers, the other one sure to be one of Amber Turd's lawyer
"They're people, they're just people..."
Makes this grown man cry everytime
Excellent
