Lots of #5 in Studio McGee reno of their new home. Classic yet modern tuscan country home style.
So glad to see others moving away from open concept floorplans. It gives an apartment like feel to me, and I’ve never been a fan of staring at someone’s kitchen sink from the living room.
I totally agree,I've never been a fan of the open concept, I like to enter separate rooms😊
@@rhondadixon1782I hate separate rooms, especially when I'm cooking I like to be part of the company, not lonesome me while everyone else is having a nice conversation in another room.
I don’t mind thoughtful open spaces but i draw the line at walking through the kitchen to get to the livingroom.
Totally agree! Well said.
Excited for the trend of less open spaces, more defined areas. Like you said Shea, I am looking forward to more interesting architecture here. Open spaces are still great, but not every modern home needs to be all open.
❤️
Thanks for the updates and all your videos on CZcams! I would love for you to show us the changes you’ve made in your spaces at home !
Excited to share those updates-be on the lookout at the end of the month. ❤️
Thank you! They will be coming soon 😘
I hope the trends would go to say at least one vintage, antique thing in each room...while I see beautiful rooms they all look like model show rooms...as far as red goes red tile has always been in style for flooring in Europe and Mexico...classis.
Nice analogy of lady Diana and Ralph Lauren. The royal house of Windsor must hire you to design balmoral castle. I actually think that would be an interesting project. Even if it was theoretical. But this aside I love that barn door in the second clip. With the slats going down. It works well with the tiles or is it flag stone flooring I can’t make out. Mounted wall black lamps against a soft pale wood frames the archway opening into a white room very well. Finally I find the large potted plant on the table on the left side to big and busy for this table. I would place this pot on the ground.
The UK has had this dark country/ Gentlemans club look for a while with lots of Velvets, tapestry, Faded Grandeur look, so glad the pale grey is gone
Always inspired by UK design. 💗
New goal is a cozy red nook. You inspired me!
❤️
So .. perhaps more red than mentioned, but sounds like my sofa and loveseat in warm red, will finally be on trend ☺️ Thanks for sharing your into the Future knowledge, Shea! ❤

I'm curious what "architectural elements to give definition to open spaces" looks like. I have some arches between my family room and kitchen/nook that I'm about to take out. Am I jumping the gun? I'd love to see some examples.
Love your aesthetic ❤
Thank you!

I just love your style ❣️
Aw, thank you!
Thank you!
Can you talk more about your stonework? Is that what you call a mortar wash over the stone? Particularly, what is the grout color? Love it!
Would love to expand more on the stonework we choose to design with. Taking note for future content!
