Breakfast At Tiffany's is a classic Oscar wining romantic comedy and features a beautiful song called Moon River. You should check out the film and the song!
Oh yes, Audrey Hepburn. I had such a boy-crush on her!
Most romantic movie ending ever!
Definitely Little Miss can't Be wrong.
It’s worth watching the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” to understand this song. Two people fighting their own personal demons, chasing dreams in the wrong ways, and both understanding but misunderstanding each other… even though they are in love and need each other. Gorgeous. (You’ll see a model dressed as Audrey Hepburn in the background of this video.)
Sorry to respond to myself (🤣) but “Moon River” from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is one of the most heartbreaking songs ever.
Fun fact: the song is actually inspired by another Hepburn film, “Roman Holiday”, but Todd Pipes thought that “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” made a better song title.
@@ItsHammer whoa, you’ve rocked my universe! 😉 “Roman Holiday” is probably my favorite Audrey film. Now I’m rethinking lyrics “You’ll say we’ve got nothing in common…” Agree Roman Holiday probably isn’t as catchy a lyric or title. Well, Audrey did have several movies about unrequited love… Thanks for sharing! ❤️✌️
I don't know about the film. But I still love this song. I was 10 years old when this came out
I don’t know why, but this brought the Spin Doctors into my head. “Two Princes” is a cool song. It’s probably their only real hit. But I’ve always liked it, and it goes on my 90s mix tape.
"Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" was another hit from the same album ("Pocket Full of Kryptonite"). Personally I like that one more than "Two Princes". I still have this CD, lol.
@@nethrelm I knew they had another, but I always forget that name. 🤷🏼♀️
I hate that song. It’s not that it’s objectively bad or anything, and plenty of people like it. I can’t really even explain why I feel that way. I guess everyone has some song that just doesn’t work for them.
This song reminds me of two princes too !
"Jimmy Olson's Blues" is great also, but I don't know if it was a hit.
A great feel good song from the 90's. One of my favorites from that era.
I was 10 years old. Mum was poor had not much money. I'd have radio on and cassette on ready to record lol
Like "semi charmed life", the music differs vastly from the lyrics.
"Barely Breathing" - Duncan Sheik should be your next 90's pop song. It was a great song.
LOVE this song! Great rec!
Heeey i love that song. It just brings back so many memories of hearing it all the time on the radio while doing chores in the barn as a kid.
Next react Gin Blossom Follow you down... hey jealousy
It's a real movie, Breakfast at Tiffany's, which was a novel by Truman Capote. On your movie reaction channel, you should react to it.
One of my favorite things on this channel is when you do songs that I used to love but haven't even thought about in years. This was a great tune, thanks for reminding me of it so I can put it in my Spotify rotation.
u should watch the movie breakfast at tiffany's also
For 90’s songs you should check out Allison Road by The Gin Blossoms! Such a fun song
To me it's one of the best one-hit wonders from the 90's, I still listen to this song in 2021! Talking about one-hit wonders, please check out "Lemon Tree" by Fool's Garden and "Narcotic" by Liquido! Two other great 90's hits by these two German bands, that you should definitely check out! You won't be disappointed, I can assure you that! Have a great day Jay!
I love lemon tree! I forgotten about this song, thanks!
'Is that a real film'?
Sees one of the most iconic photographs of all time.....
So good to hear this song again-i remember the times when it was played on the radio all the time. ❤❤❤
Another great catchy song that makes me feel nostalgic, but in a happy way. Thanks for yet another great reaction. 😀
One of the most underated bands of the 90's.
This was, sadly, their only hit. It's a shame too, because I have this album and it's really good. The thing that I find most surprising is that they are American, and from Texas. I would have sworn on my life they were British after hearing the album. Where the heck does his singing accent come from??
Also, back when I was playing guitar, this was my go to song to sing/play for people on my acoustic guitar. Everyone always loved it.
I thought they were british as well .lol
Texas in the house 🤘
It's a great song for acoustic guitar players!
Just like you I absolutely loved this song from the very first time I heard it - that hook is phenomenal, and the harmonized vocals throughout are the icing on the cake.
One of the great 90's songs.
I had forgotten all about this song. I used to have it on a workout tape. I don't listen to 90s stuff enough.
Ahh I love this song. This is one of my happy songs at work, whenever it comes on, it just puts a smile on my face. Another one is called "Boston" by Augustana..... meloncholy and yearning and angsty but for some reason just makes me happy.
The song is a homage to the 1961 film starting with the beautiful the late Audrey Hepburn Breakfast at Tiffany’s
I grew up in the '70s. The early to mid nineties were really good and then, for me anyway, it seemed to go in a direction I just stopped listening to. Loved Fastball, Third Eye Blind and this song and even some of the country stuff.
I think Third Eye Blind is my favorite band of the 90’s.
They just don't make 'em like this anymore.
"Laid" by James. I'm telling you. You'll love it.
Yes, Breakfast at Tiffany's is a movie but did anyone else notice in the music video that throughout the whole song waiters are rolling out tables and setting up a breakfast and at the end the band is sitting at the table having breakfast then they show some girl walk by and the name on the building behind her says Tiffany's, so they were having breakfast at Tiffany's. Just thought it was a neat twist and wondered if anyone else noticed it.
Great song. You should try “Beverly Hills” by Weezer. It is a great video and even better song.I promise you will love it!!
Brings me back to mid 90’s
Breakfast at Tiffany’s was a novella written by Truman Capote, it was turned into a film starring ‘Audrey Hepburn & George Peppard’
I have always loved this song! It's just so good!
Do the stone roses I wanna be adored or simple minds waterfront ❤️
Or Love Spreads or Waterfall or Ten Storey Love Song. Stone Roses are awesome though he should do something by them for sure!
I love that one from the Stone Roses.
I second the Stone Roses-I Wanna Be Adored or Waterfall in particular.
Ha! My sister got me hooked on this in college. I still listen to it. VERY 90s.
I love seeing you groove to the parts of the song that I always do.
Great band that got screwed over by a lawsuit over this song and their record label. They drifted apart, but released a new album in 2015. They formed in Denton, TX, which has produced some great artists through the UNT music department.
I worked for a number of years in a pub and this was a favourite anthem. When this was played everyone joined in.
I'd forgotten this video - I was always amazed at the acoustic guitar player shredding the strings
True Love Never Fails by Jonathan Butler (Duet With Vanessa Bell-Armstrong)
That's Amore By Dean Martin, Teardrops By Shakin Stevens, You Are So Beautiful By Joe Cocker, Tell It Like It Is By Don Johnson, Sealed With A Kiss By Jason Donovan, Poetry In Motion By Johny Tillotson, I Wonder Why By Curtis Stigers, Room With A View by Tony Cary, Summer Wine By Lee Hazlewood & Nancy Sinatra, Lady, Lady, Lady By Joe Esposito, The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore By The Walker Brothers, When Your Heart Is Weak By Cock Robin, Stop By Sam Brown, Those Were The Days By Mary Hopkins, Leader Of The Pack By The Shangri-Las All Woman By Lisa Stansfield , Miles Away By Winger, Tears On My Pillow By Kylie Minogue, It's No Secret By Kylie Minogue, Cry For Help By Rick Astley
This song really was one of those that was played non stop in the 90s. Whether on radio or tv it just always came on.
This is mine and the misters song! We got together when this song came out, still together now. 😊
I always associate this song with 74, 75 by the Connells. You should check out thatvone too with the official video
Yaaah, cool tune, timeless, nice instruments that you feel after the lyrics..., good job!
In the film he loses her but at the very end he gets her back. Great movie & well worth the watch!
I was so much in love when that song was out...it's a song i connect with one special person and what i wanted to tell her. A fantastic song.
Oh this song. It was on a CD I had. And in Turkey Kusadasi 1997 I played it a lot. Choon.
Love this! Great tune. Thx.
I’ve always loved this song. Grew up listening to it. Was a big hit in the 90’s
I have not heard this song in a while. Catchy tune! This was played all the time, everywhere lol.
love your commentary after this song, your own teachings about life, keep it up J..
Good reaction, JayVee. Now onto the film.
uplifting ! thanks man.
Love it !
Great song and happy to see it being featured. October 13, 1993 was the released date of this memorable song. There was some decent music back in the 90's but still tough to compete with the 60's, 70's and 80's.
this was a great 90's/00s tune
Only 90s.
Oh boy, I can still sing along to the song. lmao
This song takes me back to 1996 when I was in Australia and this song was out them
It's been a while since I have heard this song or watched the movie. When the song came on, I thought, "I don't remember this from the movie," haha. Took me a minute. Only had one cup of coffee! I loved the movie. The book has a different ending. This is a catchy tune. I do love when the different "arts" reference each other.
I LOVE THIS SONG !!! 🤘🤘🤘
Fantastic reaction and SONG!!
Love this song :)
Javon, you have got to react to Gotye's SOMEONE THAT I USED TO KNOW. You'll love the song and video.
He already has check out his videos list😊
@@samanthanelson5449 oh Really? Ok thanks for the info. I'll definitely look for it.
The guitar in this reminds me of the Due South theme song.
This song always reminds me of watching "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (the movie) with my mom. I don't know why we loved it but we did. My mom told me that my grandmother actually married her first husband when she was 15...in Kansas. He died in some war (I'm not 100% but possibly Korean War in the very beginning). But we both considered that a girl who was poor married a 25 year old man & it was totally okay. She didn't ever talk about that guy, like ever. I don't think she even talked about him to their 3 children. She had 4 stillborn/pregnancies that didn't continue with that guy...and he didn't wait for her to heal up.
Both are great songs I also love one headlight by the band the the wallflowers
One of my favourite songs of the 90s
Great song Jay 🌹👍
A couple more 90s songs that start slower and then kick in are Fuel's "Shimmer" and Tonic's "If You Could Only See." Both 90s alt rock classics.
But there's one thing better than a movie to come together over...
Haven't heard this one in a while. Made me think of another great song from around the same time that you don't ever hear anymore..."Everything You Want" by Vertical Horizon. Definitely worth checking out.
First I hear "One less egg to fry" now it's Breakfast At Tiffany's" I feel like cooking now, LOL, but it's bed time. Cool song. My band, The Skootles, used to play this almost every week in our jam session. We did a more amped up version of it though. It was always fun to play. The bass part was very easy though.
This is a great song
More Goo Goo Dolls - Slide, Name, Broadway, Black Balloon. I hear this song, and I think more 90's bands. MOAR!
I forgot about this song
From what I've learned the song is actually based on another movie but it doesn't even matter because this works...
Do The Commodores "Nightshift"
Ever tried any from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds? Also some classics there, especially the murder songs. like Stagger Lee and Henry Lee. .. ;)
They had a great song, “Tonight” on the Baseketball soundtrack!
Breakfast at Tiffany's is about Holly Golightly - a high class escort or 'American Geisha' as Truman Capote (he wrote the book the film is based on) called her, and it's basically about watching the free spirited, independent Holly navigate her way through life and finding meaning it in.
🎶🎶🔥🔥🎶🔥🔥🎶💯💯
I really loved this song, never heard of it before either. It's an excellent film, Robert Redford & Barbra Streisand were the main characters. xx
Hey… list to Tal Bachman- she’s so high 👍👍
What a great song. I love it. I think you would like songs by David Gray as well. Songs like Babylon and This Years Love.
This hit No.1 in 1996 and was a real breakup song for me too! So nostalgic though
👑
I'd love to see your reaction to Big Wreck - That Song (band - song title). Breakfast At Tiffany's is still catchy ... likely be stuck in my head the rest of the evening, lol.
~FM :)
The 90s, where everything make sense.
It is a real film, you should check it out. Audrey Hepbern, beautiful and classy.
You should do Polaris "Hey Sandy" shout out to The show Pete and Pete that all 90s kids know!!!
Just a great pop song, doesnt matter if its a one hit wonder... just a fun song
I used to have a crush on the hot red head lead singer 🥰
True Love Never Fails by Jonathan Butler (Duet With Vanessa Bell-Armstrong), One More Night By Phil Collins, Invisible Touch By Genesis, Follow You Follow Me By Genesis, That's All By Genesis, Visions of Angels By Genesis, Watcher of the Skies By Genesis, Land Of Confusion By Genesis, Where The Sour Turns Sweet By Genesis, White Mountain By Genesis, Your Own Special Way By Genesis, and Five last songs Silver Rainbow By Genesis, In The Wilderness By Genesis, Afterglow By Genesis, Alone Tonight By Genesis, Fading Lights By Genesis,
This is a good one. Have you done Barely Breathing by Duncan Sheik? You would like it.
Whats good Jay
Beck: Debra. I'm just going to keep heckling for it :).
It actually hurts me that you don't know about Breakfast at Tiffany's, God, it's one of the best films ever, it's worth watching for the opening credits, Audrey Hepburn in a Givenchy LBD, gets out of a taxi outside Tiffany's...
Do Patti LaBelle ft Michael McDonald
song "On My Own"
This was Deep Blue Somethings' one big hit, but what a great track!
SOO much better then Unbelievable!
I got a big one for you, we love the long vids, monsters of rock 1991 Metallica (Moscow)
J, try Dynamite Hack. Song Boyz In The Hood.
if you like this you should like a 90s british band called DODGY ...they did some brilliant songs 3 off the top of my head (good enough) (staying out for the summer) (in a room)
The album this is on is actually great all the way through, shame they were only 1 hit
