  • This is my official review of the ‪@fireboxstove‬. IMHO, the Firebox stove is an extremely versatile twig burning stove and is my "go to" stove. I purchased my Firebox stove with my own money and am not affiliated with the company.

Excellent review👍Bought mine about 18 months ago and it's a game changer. Indestructible and so versatile with twigs, Trangia meths burner, solid fuel pellets, wood pellets, bbq briquets and the gas attachment from Firebox. It's a heavy bugger but that's a small price to pay for the versatility it offers especially with all the accessories.. Cheers from a Brit expat living in sunny Malaysia

Hello! I really appreciate that! Yes, I think the Firebox is the most versatile stove on the market and it is my absolute favorite. If the budget allows, the titanium model is half the weight. Either way, Firebox will always have room in my pack. Thank you for watching and also for the positive feedback.

That was an excellent review and fair too. Price and weight are its only drawbacks. There are many knockoffs on the market, but just like fake Rolex’s, you get what you pay for. If cost is the key factor, then you can easily make a Fancy Feast or hobo aluminum can stove. They work under just fine (for boiling water). But under all conditions and all fuel sources, the Firebox stove excels. Besides using all wood and pellets , it is designed to efficiently use the Trangia alcohol burner. You showed using the burner in the lower position resting on top of the bars. It is also designed to use the bars in a higher position where the Trangia burner wedges perfectly between the bars. This positions the burner at the optimal position to maximize its heating output. Brilliant engineering.

Really enjoyed this one Johnny ❤ I love my Firebox and did an unboxing video 3 years ago on it but have never seen another New Zealander with one! Downside is cost, it was NZD $250 & in stainless it’s heavy at 1.5kg so unless I’m doing a short overnight wildcamp video I leave it at home and take a similar sized titanium twig stove (350g), used as a stand and windshield for a meths burner. When I get back to CZcams (busy renovating) you have inspired me to do a review on it too. Fine work, keep it up, thanks 👍

I agree with your assessment. Your analysis on the versatility criterion didn’t go far enough though. The firebox stove excels in using any and all types of fuel in any configuration you want. Wood, twigs, lump charcoal, charcoal briquettes, pellets…anything. Also, you touched upon the alcohol burner and solid fuel, but it can be configured to use with a gas stove burner too. The design features of this stove are amazing. I have the large model and the smaller nano model which is perfect for day hikes. And while just about every stove on the market works under specific conditions, the Firebox Stove works under all conditions. It’s just the best. However, if price is a prime consideration, you can find other stove that get the job done for less money.

You aren't wrong. I debated about the amount of time to spend talking about all of the different options. I really appreciate your feedback.

I have both the stainless and titanium versions and, not being a backpacker, I use them interchangeably.
