Today is The Gunman's 3rd birthday, on this day in 2014 I uploaded my first edited video as The Gunman, this is also my 400th upload. Big thanks to everyone for helping make this channel what it is today.
I must admit I woke up this morning all excited so I could share this video.
The Gunman
Thanks for all the time you have spent on these videos. I believe I can speak for all your viewers. And we all appreciate it!
ty for sharing your knowledge
The Gunman thanks for all your vids
Happy Birthday! Great channel, I love watching your vids and have learned heaps which I've been able to use spraying my own car.
Congrats on a successful channel and 3rd Birthday, as a DIY guy your videos have taught me a lot, cant wait for your next uploads. Thanks
Congratulations Gunman on your 400th video,as a hobby painter I have learned so much from you and look forward to seeing many more, thank you.
Happy Birthday Gunman! Thanks for everything, and keep it up doing what You do best!
Happy Birthday Gunman ! You are responsible for the level of success I have achieved ! Gunman has been more educational than all of the classes and on the job training I have acquired. Thanks !: )
Thanks for sharing everything you do! I enjoy all of your videos and have probably watched them all more than once.
Another great review and a Happy belated Birthday! You paint like poetry in motion and I believe just watching will go a long way when I finally slow down enough to pick up a gun!
Gunny man painter,,I have been a part of your channel seen you have posted your first few video"s..I have been in the trade for 18yrs now & I have been a (Journey tech painter)for about 12yrs..Seen I have watch your channel & just about all your video's,,I got to say I learn something new every time from you&your video"s...Thank"s for taking time out of your life to make these awsome videos.!!!If your channel did not exist on you tube, you tube would be boring, thank"s..Gunner!!!
I like the way you do your reviews. Not a lot of people doing reviews on products include prices within their review. Love watching your videos by the way. Something about the way you spray eases my mind.
Thanks for all the videos gunman, you have taken all the frustration out of spraying for me because now I know how to spray some shit
happy 3rd gunman birthday gunny! much love from Scotland and here to the next 400!!
Awesome job gunman. I've learned so much just watching you channel.
Hi Gunny , congratulations on the 3rd birthday , just keep on showing us your good and helpful vids.
Thanks :)
Love the videos... from one painter to another... anytime im struggling a little, I watch your videos to kinda reset. Of course I dont have a ton of experience like you but still learning. Im looking into getting a mini jet now. Waiting for you top 8 minis to decide what I should get.
Congrats on the 400th upload and the birthday!! Keep it up dude :)
In terms of what I want to see.. is laying down that clear with the best gun and premium clear available. Whether it be Devilbiss/Sata, BASF/PPG/DuPont.
Its definitely interesting to see how cheaper guns/products perform, but for me (other viewers may not agree, and thats ok we all have a different outlook), I want to see the top end and how to use those products to their fullest.
The best gun, is the best gun regardless of price. And an honorable mention to any guns that come close to matching them at a cheaper price bracket (or not).
Happy 3rd Birthday Gunman. Keep up the great work
Gunny..you are a teacher for many people...keep the good job and super videos!
As always Gunman, excellent review. I just bought this for jams and small parts
Your vids are so dope bro, love watching them!
Congratulations on 400 vids! You are a great teacher so keep up the great work!
Thanks mate, I know you were here right from the start. Thanks for all the positive feedback.
got some awesome wireless headphones and a large hi def screen just for your videos. as always keep working smart and hard. cheers!
I have this and the hvlp one. I use the hvlp for lacquer or wet on wet. and the b-rp for base.
I can tell you that the hvlp is a beast spraying, has a bit wider fan than the b-rp. and you only need 1,8 2 bar.
if you like this one I recommend you the hvlp. price aside, them guns ar great, light weight.
congrats on your 3 years CZcams anniversary.
im an apprentice spray technician in felixstowe England, we use specially data jet guns for everything and paint with stand water based or sometimes standofleet. Love the videos man
Hey gunman, congratulations on the 3rd birthday/ 400 uploads. I would like to see the accuspray video when you get a chance. Thanks, keep the videos coming, I look forward to them.
Hi Gunny! You are right, this is expensive gun, but very good too. Low airconsumption, and last long time. I did purchase one today, and i'm very happy i did. Thank you! 😄
Please keep giving us all the facts because cost is a bit factor when choosing a product and as you said some times things are over price because of its brand.great vids keep it up. Regards. Rudy
Looks like a nice gun. Looking forward to the top ten mini gun vid.
I just got the 1.3 tip set for this gun and it’s really cool for doing full panels without using as much materials
Really puts it on! Looks like an awesome gun
Me la gane por ser el primer like y comentario!! :D
My favorite channel! desde Puerto Rico
Congrats mate on the 400th video! I have a painting challenge for you, in the uk we have cars made by MG motors and they did a special edition paint called monograms which is a triple stage pearl? I challenge you to try and paint a few blank panels in the amazing colours they did!
This gun and the LPH80 are my favorite mini guns.
love the SATA guns used them in body school...
Looking at mini guns at the min so your reviews are well received bud
I wish I was still in Melbourne so I can meet you you do great work.
Very helpful video. Thanks
great videos dont mind the talking the more you do more knowledge i get keep the good work big fam of you
Great info Thanks !
That's a cool little weapon there Gunny. You weren't kidding when 'ya said you'd just received a box of mini guns were 'ya. I think I'll get one of those SRI ProLites. The SATA would be nice though....mmmm..
Keep the video's rolling. .!!!
great review.. yes keep prices on the reviewa
I bought this gun last yr haven't tried it out yet if I remember correctly it has the 1.0 I didn't buy the Adams it was so expensive thanks for the video mate
Bought this off a friend for £30 gbp without a pot lol he left it ages and only needed a good clean! Such a steal and a good purchase!
when i seen sata i almost didn't watch it but glad i did i always learn something
You watch them all, like you were ever gonna miss it lol.
Very good gun mate!
Another informative video I'm currently trying to save up for a new gun, not set on the brand just yet, Anythings better than the shit eBay special I purchased, Painted my VL using your knowledge... very lucky to have your videos Thanks, man. (Y)
excellent the Gunman's
Nice review, yes Satas are pricey, currently I worked with jet 4000 rp and 3000 hvlp, but I'm very interested in minijet for frame painting. Because of the price I'm not gonna get this gun, probably gonna go for Star mini spray gun for rare use. Thanks for making these videos, your opinion and thoughts help to make my decisions.
Woop! Another Gunny vid :D
great job.
I used this same gun to paint some wheels in shadow chrome and it worked very well. 1.0mm tip.
Where can one purchase this gun? Cant find online?
Sehr gut du besitzt die Technik des Auftragens.
Thanks for all your videos Gunman..have you or could you do a video on the different types of spray booths you have sprayed in and what your pros and cons are with them.
Maybe one day mate.
Just invested in the ANI R150, cheers gunny
Love the videos. Recently subscribed. I'm trying to figure out which gun I should get. I'm looking at spray guns direct. Im stuck between the Devilbiss GPi, and the GTi. Im shoting waterborne lacquer. I need a 1.8 or so nozzle and a HVLP air cap. Can you switch GPi and GTi air caps? Neither gun is set up exactly for what im looking for. If I can mix and match that would be awesome. Keep up the good videos and gun reveiws.
What do I have to do to get a gun from you. I don’t care if it’s a Sata or not 💪💪💪 thanks for the vids man!
Amazing video and great knowledge as always man !!! this video actually made me buy one of those Sata minijets myself and I’m an iwata guy . The first job I did with the Sata minijet I made 10 runs 😅😅😅. It’s totally different world Bt it’s a super nice gun I do a lots of bikes and small parts so for me it’s beneficial getting in tight spots and corners . I’m having hard time to find the sweet spot at the pressure setting . I’m just watching it again and seeing that you actually spraying clear at 36psi wooow that’s a lots of pressure . Is it because the small cap and small nozzle it requires little more pressure ? I did small piece with the mini jet and the clear finish was class Bt when I do little larger part and can’t really get the same results . I will bump the pressure some more next time and give it a Go . I though “RP” means reducer pressure and you suppose to spray at lower pressure around I wasn’t going passed 29psi . Also I love using the Luma III light and they don’t make one yet . It really sucks Bt I contacted lumaIII and they said they will be releasing the light for this gun very soon .
That thing smashed that big bumper!
Loved the way you clear coated.. Fucking perfect...
Thanks for all your really helpful videos man! I’m doing custom painting, motorcycle gas tanks helmets and skateboards mostly, i spray solvent mostly, I’m spraying the clear coat with a normal gun, looking for a good mini gun, do you think this sata minijet is a lot better than the ani R150 ? It’s like double the price here in Italy.
I DON'T think you should change a thing about how you do your gun reviews mate. Everyone benefits from a professionals standpoint on price as much as we all do on how the gun performs. Love the vids. I'm off to go paint some shit!
Great Videos/do you use hi flow air fitting on your guns/what kind/ Thanks
nice video
Keep doing what you doing, $$$ is a factor 😁
I would love to buy some of your guns Gunny .
I am a old-school painter. I've been using a binks number seven for 40 years. If you could only have one gravity feed gun for basecoat clearcoat what would it be
Great vid, What were your setting on this one?
Hi Gunny! Greetins from Finland, and happy new year.! I have this 4400b rp 1.2. Can i convert my rp to hvlp just put hvlp air cap in it? I still have a small compressor, and hvlp help me a bit..
i like the way you judge them
The large qc connector is - for me - an absolute big plus for the 4400 and is something the Devilbiss SRI Pro lacks.
Yes that's a big plus I agree.
For now I can only use a 30 gallon compressor, would this mini jet sata work fine with the compressor air output
Hi Gunman! Sata 4400B RP or Iwata lhp 80 is a best spot repair? I need buy small and spot repar. THX
What is the difference between HVLP and RP. And which one would you get if you have a small compressor? I currently have a 2.6 scfm compressor.
You mentioned in this and also newer videos the high price of Sata gear. I think this is mainly because of import taxes, here in Europe Sata is actually cheaper as Devillbiss, Sata is Germann and Devillbiss is American.
For my 1:14 scale model trucks I am debating the Sata Minijet, the Devillbiss ProLiteS and the Iwata LPH80.
The LPH80 has the lowest air consumption and smallest spray pattern, but is also very small and I have big hands. The Sata uses the most air and the side knob is in the way and resetting according to some.
The Devillbiss seems the in between option. Which one is best for this and do I go for regular or HVLP? I want the 0,8mm nozzle for this.
Thanks and keep up the nice videos.
Not getting rid of my Iwata LPH80 for that .
Another v good vid, keep em goin .i bought the star evo mini gun some time back,is there a big difference to the sata considering the difference in price?
In build quality yes but you can still get great finishes with both.
where to buy paint gun and completeness, it seems really good
Here in Europe you can find them in Germany for €230,- which is around 360AU$, cheaper than the Devilbiss SriPro which is very decent imho.
By the way, did you keep spraying at 2.5 bar? I only use ms clears and find 2.5 too much. I use 2.2 for clears and 1.8 for base.
Hola amigo!. El tamaño de esta pistola, es más chico que la sata 4000?. Gracias. Saludos.
hai gunman. If i already bought Sata Minijet HVLP. Should i buy this BRP model? If yes which one better for clearcoat. thanks
How does this gun compare - orange peel wise - to the T110 aircap?
i think that the price is a big factor and keep up the good work mate
I agree and even though I do get a lot of the guns as demo guns I still review as if I had paid for them.
I would like to hear something more about the quality of the paint finish. Does it produce more/less/equal orange peel than gun x, things like that. ;-)
Hi gunman I know I'm a couple of years late commenting on this video. But I'm sold on the ANI R150 mini gun as per your recommendations, I plan on getting two of the ANI guns one for base, one for clear coat, would you say the ANI is going to get a finish as good as this with clear coat, in the right hands of course ?
Très bon pistolet surtout pour les petites pièces dans mon travaille, peintre sur tôle aluminium
what's the diffirence about the hlvp and rp?
What type of air hose is the one u use
Question. How is the cup pressurized? HVLP? can you expand on this please. Great video..
It's gravity fed. It uses gravity and Venturi
I don't belive cost is a big factor, if your in the business of painting daily just do the math, the gun will pay for itself 10 fold, I always belive in getting good quality products no matter the cost, they hold value and will always work
Well said Brando
I totally agree. Sata makes great products but way over priced! Price should definitely be a factor.
es una buena pistola
Hi Gunny! This 0,125L pot was 65€ Gun itself came from car paint shop, gun was genuine (check from Sata.com- pages) the gun body has few ugly milling machine marks.. I don't kow what to say. Good gun, really, but finishing is not! 😄
Would a minijet be a good gun for someone who shoots cars at home?
How much is that minigun?im a car painter but still need a lot expirience, tenxs
Great video!
I currently have a MiniJet 3000...have you ever used it that one? And is so, how does it compare to the 4400?
Thanks mate, I have never used the 3,000. Sorry.
wow id sure like to have a good paint gun
hey gunman! i was wondering what pressure u run from your regulator off your compressor to your regulator on your spraygun? thanks
We have a wall regulator in the booth set to about 60 psi, that also runs my air fed respirator.
Have you used the blue-point spray guns from snapon? Or the 3m accuspray?
I had a blue point gun a long time ago, it was average and didn't stand the test of time but I have had a lot of questions about the accuspray and I'd like to do a review on them one day.
I have the same gun with 1.0 mm SR and RP versión. Are this nozzle good for clear coat of small parts? I can't get good results. Thank you!!
Yes, I use it for wheels but definitely wish I would've went with the 0.8 mm. Just have to get the fan were you want it and really play around with the air/fluid ratio and the speed and closeness in which you are spraying.
I'm looking into a 0.8mm needle/air cap now, to me it makes a big difference when spraying smaller parts.
the adam 2 dock doesnt hold up.mine were leaking and changing pressure within 3 months.dont buy unless your a hobbyist
Gunman,,when your give away for the mini gun be.??
It will be in a couple of months, I don't want to jump the gun (pun intended).
