    Sir, I have been a subscriber of yours since you first did a video on this gun years ago. You are the reason I got this. I wanted it almost a decade ago but I only got it last year. It is a truly beautiful piece of art. I thought I would end up carrying this but I just have it on display on my safe to admire. This is truly a marvelous gun.

    Since your internal lock is showing rust... might be a great time to remove it! I have removed an IL in the past, and it is super easy to do. There is a gent on the interwebz who sells a "plug" that seals up the hole remaining after lock is removed. I also used this plug and installation is super easy as well. And.... yes please, keep on posting revolver content.

Love revolvers, pocket carry one as my “lead-off hitter” due to easy accessibility, with my Beretta PX4 Storm compact IWB as backup. Everyone else has their pistol as primary and pocket revolver as backup, but this how I train and what works for me.

      i believe they will take care of that no questions asked...someone just stated they sent a wheelie back to them for warranty and it took just about 2 months to get it back. that is a huge delay as they use to be able to turn things around in 14-18 business days. I think there is a lot of changes happening there as I've been told quality is so-so now. like they are letting things go out the door with cosmetic issues to things not installed properly! ugh...please keep me updated on how long it takes to get your 327 back!

    Add another who has lusted after this revolver since its introduction. That lust was fueled by your many well done videos on the little “Pug”. 2024 the stars aligned and I had the dinero when not one…but two popped up at my LGS. Picked my Pug up for $100 below msrp plus the $75 S&W Wheel gun rebate. Have an Andrews Leather Carjacker holster coming and bought a BMT Mooner moon clip loader/unloader to make the range time more enjoyable. A fantastic revolver. The only other pistol that points as naturally and gives me a smile is a 1911. Selling all my black plastic clown guns…the ugly Pug has put them all out to pasture. Thanks “TheOl1911” for keeping me primed for picking one up. Any of you guys on the fence, hop off…the Pug is worth every penny.

    • @TheOl1911
      @TheOl1911  Před 3 měsíci

      Sounds awesome! Good to hear the PUG is still going strong in 2024. It's interesting as just recently a lot o people are asking me "What is the point of this gun, why is it being made" strange. I guess I'll have to address that. Glad you got one as everyone keeps telling me they are not easy to get and tons of FFLs are trying to mark this model up from MSRP which is sucky. I know plastic is just ehhhhhh but I do admit they are what is the most popular out there for various reasons. Hell I have a bunch and train with a Glock that has a red dot on it (long story). But yes wheelies and 1911s are my passion! Enjoy the Pug!

    • @WedgeGangly
      @WedgeGangly Před 3 měsíci

      @@TheOl1911 It’s nutz. MSRP is $1549 right now and you’ll find a couple listed new and USED for $1800 to $2000. S&W only does limited runs on the Pug, but that’s still some painful price gouging. I’m lucky I have an honest dealer. I could’ve sold mine the next day for a handy profit. Just for anyone interested, the turn time on my $75 S&W rebate was 2 weeks. Last, I think if it’s not a daily carry piece…the “why do they make it?” has validity. Range toy it is not. Otherwise one might just look at it as a limited edition collector’s piece. Maybe.

    I would like to know more about the erosion issues? Have they been resolved since you got the cylinder replaced from Smith and Wesson? Do you still have erosion issues??? To be honest it kind of turns me off of a revolver like this knowing that they have such an issue. I read articles and different things and from what I can tell erosion is bound to happen but may be you haven’t had the issue since you had the cylinder replaced? Could you please comment back and elaborate. I don’t see too many responses to come in so I’m hoping to hear something back from you, thank you

I love the m1911a1, but I haven't carried a semi, ANY semi since June 2014 when I bought my Smith & Wesson 442. As of now, my carry rotation is a Charter Arms Undercover, a Charter Arms Police Undercover, a Rock Island Armory m 206, and a Taurus 856 Ultra Lite. Their cost COMBINED is about 1/2 the cost of ONE new Pugnose, but they all go bang when I press the trigger. But, to each their own.

Cylinder erosion after firing various ammo, timing issues, rust, and Smith says "well most people that buy this gun wont fire it much" as if that's normal and reasonable. I am not a gun collector, I just want a few tools that are hardy and reliable (especially for the insane price of this one). So Smith said the revolver cylinder could not stand up to the repeated hotter loads. Yes you are correct. There are limitations on every gun. The cylinder, the feed lever or hand, the ratchet, and the cylinder stop. Yes over time with a lot of wear revolvers go out of time or they can lock up with cylinder end shake that is caused by cylinder slop/play. Worn parts need replacing. I just stick with .38Spl. +P out of my three inch snub. .357 Magnum loses a lot of velocity from a two or three inch barrel and you end up with .38Spl. +P velocities with more recoil so its better just to use .38Spl. +P loads with less recoil. Thanks for the wheel love.

    I dislike the sights and titanium.
    Get rid of the titanium and give it u notch sights like the j frames. Lol
    I run L frames.

    Purchased mine a month ago. Price tag was $1,425.00. I cried a bit and got a $50 discount. The owner of the gun shop knows me. I'm now battling to find one of those grips like yours. Not that easy of a task. Round butt combat grips are mostly out of stock. I tried the brand you suggested in a comment I made on one of your old videos. Still looking to find them.

    I don’t understand why it’s so expensive. What feature demands that? Crazy. Plus it’s still a bad carry choice in terms of size and weight compared to semi-autos like the P365 (12 +1) class of 9mm guns out there.

    I wouldn't pay 220 dollars for the gun let alone the stock
