In this video, we’re touring a tiny house on wheels with a modern interior and a unique floor plan. On one side is the living room with a small dining space, the kitchen and staircase are in the middle of the tiny house, and there’s a fully equipped walk-through bathroom that leads to an easily accessible main floor bedroom.
This tiny house is 35’ long and 8.5’ wide and it’s parked in Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia.
You can find it on Airbnb here: www.airbnb.ca/rooms/40397684
The living room is a simple and comfortable space with a vaulted ceiling and there is a space-saving drop leaf table for working and dining. There is a massive amount of storage in the kitchen with extra tall overhead cabinets, a giant fridge and freezer, a hidden dishwasher, and a beautiful panoramic window instead of a backsplash. The hallway bathroom feels huge with a full tub on one side and a washer and dryer on the other, and at the far end is the main floor bedroom with a Queen-size bed, two night tables, and a closet. There’s also a large loft with a step ladder and railing, and the futon converts to a bed so this home has space to sleep six people.
It’s plugged into the grid and the whole house is fully electric including the water heater, stove and oven, and the heaters. So there’s no propane except for the outdoor fire pit.
Thanks for watching!

This channel would be so much better if it featured homes people actually live in instead of being a constant advert for builders.
By Far the best floor Design ever Anywhere !!!
This is my favorite tiny house bathroom that I've seen. Love the first floor bedroom. The only thing I didn't like was the sofa - it didn't look that comfy.
I’d lower the TV, ditch the metal shelf, and get a sectional sofa.
I find that to be a pretty common thing in tiny home videos. The host or resident often says the couch is comfy when it looks like the most basic futon money can buy.
I would also like a nice cozy sofa.
That couch also takes up too much space without giving any additional function. A built in L shape would be much more functional, use the space better and seat more.
I like an easy chair. I think one could fit next to the chair.
I think it is a great use of space, it would be perfect for a single person. But you do need closet space in the bedroom. That’s the only thing I would change.
put clothes upstairs and you have crawl in closed ✌🏻😄
I don't like this tiny home at all.
I agree. I would change bath to shower and put closet in that space that opens in the bedroom
Love the downstairs bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom but I'd put a pantry under the stairs...it's wasted space as it is now...and hanging space is definitely needed especially if a female is the occupant lol 💜
Pantry is a must!
Were you able to find out who did the amazing build/design on this tiny house? Is it a production company?
Thanks for asking! This is a prototype and the company is getting their website up and running. As soon as it's ready I'll add the link to the video description :)
Yes! also how much it costs
@@ExploringAlternatives 👌
nope, they just saw the house standing there, broke in, shot the video and left

I can see how well thought out and practical for living this tiny house is.
I LOVE the layout of this home! The full size bathtub is EVERYTHING! I like that it has a stackable washer and dryer and a dishwasher!! Love it!
I agree about the tub and the separate washer & dryer. I don’t want to spend an average of 3 hrs per load of the combo units. Besides, sometimes, I’ve read that some clothes still aren’t dry. I know my 6’3” husband’s jeans wouldn’t be! lol
Why do people like dishwashers?! If you have to prep the dishes, it's easier to just actually wash them. I have never used a dishwasher in my life.
Wow my husband and I love this tiny home everything about it but yes the bathroom is our favorite room. Thanks Matt and Danielle for sharing this beautiful home.👍👍❤
This is one of the most amazing tiny houses I've ever seen! The thoughtful use of space is creative, practical, and just plain awesome....
I would get a loveseat to fit on end wall and make the living room more of a statement. More for living not just staring up at a tv.
And I would never face my furniture away from the view!
Amazing use of space ; the bathroom in particular blew me away ! Personally I would rather have a table that extended and became much bigger rather than one tiny one that could fold away ,but for the most part this is tiny house is one of the best. The ground floor bedroom is fantastic (just need some shelves on the wall. I must have books ! )
Wow. This is more like a house than a tiny! It is so well planned, laid out and I love the aesthetics! Thanks for sharing this beautiful home and parking place with us!
I like the floor plan of this home and it is so very nice and I like the way the bathroom has the tub and shower to and the washer dryer in it to
Best tiny house. Feels open and airy. I like the window by the kitchen sink. Great to have a bath too as well as separate washer and drier. Congrats on a great build
This is one of my favorite tiny houses
Love this tiny house! Has everything you could want, and not wanting for anything! Laid out so well!!
This "tiny" house is 4.4 times the size of my Tokyo apartment :)
another beautiful layout!
Since the couch is so close to the tv, the tv is not at a comfortable level to watch when sitting down
I agree about the TV; it’s too high for that couch-to-TV wall width. Also, I would have used a small sectional, where at the far end, you could stretch your legs, and when needed, an extra person could sit. Otherwise, I consider it wasted space.
But it is not that big, so it will kinda be like watching from a bigger computer screen.
It's true the TV is too high, but actually the couch probably isn't close enough to the TV based on it's size... Most people don't know the ideal sitting distance from a TV...
You can find a lot of calculators online to show ideal height/distance from TV. This is one that shows both with a simple slider and detailed explanation...
www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-relationship
Who needs to be brainwashed, will use tv. :)
It definitely doesn’t look to me like it could be either but a small adjustment could fix that
I've watched A LOT of tiny house tours... this tiny house is on my top 3 if favorites!
The layout on this is very well done. A fairly large tiny house, but great use of space.
This is my favorite tiny home. My favorite features are the kitchen's wide window, the futuristic microwave and the bathroom. Each of those items showed a more innovative way to implement every day items.😍
Thanks for a wonderful review. Please share with us the most important detail missing: how much is a home like this going to cost!? Now, as to the tiny house: this is by far the most amazing design I've ever seen in these small/portable homes. Seriously unreal features. Some concerns: 1. electricity is an issue as the power source. By having electricity the unit is NOT self-contained and free to go anywhere. It forces the owner to somehow either run electricity to the house or plug into an urban or semi-rural RV space. Propane or solar would have allowed the owner to set the house up anywhere. 2. My concern is how portable this home really is. What type of vehicle would have to tow it. If this house requires some sort of tractor trailer then it's not a practical design. A truly portable home should be able to be pulled by a large truck-something that any of us could drive. Finally, without quoting a price range this amazingly designed house may be simply too expensive for its "tiny size." Sometimes these designer homes are priced so ridiculously high that there is no point in squishing yourself into them when you can simply get a quality mobile home and spread out, or work with a manufactured home dealer.
I was wondering the same thing. This is super nice, and i bet the price tag reflects that. Adding solar would obviously increase the price by quite a bit as well. As far as hauling it, I think a heavy-duty pickup could handle the job, but again, that's quite an expense in itself.
Love this layout. Especially the downstairs bedroom.
I like this tiny home. It is nicely designed. It does not have the indoor appearance of a tiny home.
This is really nice...it's fun to think of things I would want to do differently: I would want all the wood inside to be darker, like the outside, I'd want a small sectional in lieu of the ugly futon, lower the wall mounted TV and enclose it so you can't see it when not in use, get a multifunctional coffee table instead of the storage they have, I'd move the kitchen sink to the left and have one cabinet above/below with a little counter space to the right, and there is no place for hanging clothes so I'd switch out the shelves in the bedroom for hanging clothes or a combo of the two. Not sure what I would do with the loft but for me I'd lose a foot of head space in the bedroom to make it more inviting in the loft...and maybe use that as an office space/guest space. That is all...thanks for reading! :)
Wow. I could live there.
C’est une très grande et belle Tiny House : Un Chef-d’œuvre.
Merci pour cette nouvelle vidéo
Love your tours, Matt and Danielle, and how you include your own comments on practical as well as aesthetic considerations for any design. I agree the bathroom in this one is brilliant. For the living space, one could consider a hidden TV console (or “TV lift cabinet”) so TV is stored away when not in use. Of course the swivel function may be hindered by tight wall clearances. Thank you for another very pleasant and interesting tour!
I love the bathroom and bedroom downstairs. This is a tiny house I can live in.
I love your channel!! Great video again guys, thank you!
Hi Matt, I watch a lot of tiny house videos, including yours and Danielle's, and I find many of the younger inexperienced people's videos hard to listen to. They will paint out obvious things where the video should speak for itself, and talk about this or that drawer or cubby where you can store "random stuff." I find them very amateurish. So I wanted to mention how much I enjoyed this video in particular, your descriptions, and how articulate and clear I found it. The mentiin of important tiny house features or concepts such as "everything should have more than one purpose" a very smart approach. People watch these videos to learn, and sharing concepts like this increase the value of the videos. And yes, I too found the bathroom the mist attractive thing about the house! I loved the ling window under the kitchen cabinets but have never been a fan of upper cabinets in my face when I am doing food prep or washing dishes. (I dislike dishwashers.) So thanks for your videos in general, which I enjoy (including the things you two like or what you don't find so workable), and this one in particular! Greetings from Perth, Ontario!🇨🇦❣ (P.S. You mentioned the cost of a Skillshare membership but didn't mention the currency. This is a nuisance with online stuff. I am pretty sure you folks are Canadian, but don't know whether the currency is Canadian. Causes confusion. )
Awesome. Great bathroom and layout. Thanks for the ideas.
Great for senior citizens who want bdrm downstairs and loft bdrm for visitors upstairs. Bathroom/laundry, toilet separate is perfect. My favorite.
Nice layout
These all have their charms & shortcomings. And hats off to all those living more lightly. But when do we admit the tiny house concept has morphed into a trendy mobile home? And at 10 x 15 feet, Thoreau’s cabin was way ahead of the trend. No doubt he had plenty of company.
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL‼‼‼ LOVE the bedroom💞
I love this. It's cozy, pleasing to the eye and has a full sized bathtub. Nice!
Nice layout!
I ❤💙❤all the windows!! I could live in one like this. I would make the stairs pull-down as I would not be climbing them but nice to have the extra space above for visitor.
I would want more closet space. Also with my disability, the upstairs loft would be difficult to access. It is cute for a single person or maybe a couple.
Great for visitors or storage. Pay someone to put stuff up there for you.
Beautiful
Such a beautiful layout and build.
I think I am in love ❤️🥰 !!
I agree with you the bathroom is my favorite part as well, and I to would prefer the closet in the bathroom. I believe this tiny is designed especially for me. This is Exactly how I want it.
The only thing I would like to add is bit more footage for a designated office space with a bit storage around the living room area. Even though the kitchen table could be used for the office area, I would prefer to keep separate.
My favorite highlights about this build:
Having a sink in the bathroom is a absolute necessity for me, it has a vanity, and storage as well .
A real washer and dryer with side storage outstanding.
A bath tub and shower wonderful.
Cubes on on either side of the bed fabulous.
Real stairs that you can use with ease, it just does not get any better than this.
Best design Ever !!
LOVE the bathroom layout (full size tub, OMG! 😍) and first floor bedroom!
Its gorgeous. Its like living in a beautiful trailer
This is one of my favorites that I’ve seen
Very nice house - I love that bathroom 😍. Only I would change the living/dining area: I'd make a U-form seating/couch-area with a (removable) table in the center and a "TV wall" where the table is now. A foldable table could be stored below the stairs and the TV-wall provides a welcome separation of kitchen and living room...and maybe a storage box for shoes at the bottom 😊
Love it
THATS WHAT I WANT!!! A WALK THOUGH BATHROOM AND 1ST FLOOR BEDROOM!!! OMG!!! THANK YOU! ☺ now I know what it would look like!
They really pack a lot in this one👍
One of the best floor plans I have seen.
Beautiful ❤
I want this! When I'm empty nesting this is what I'm getting! Love it!
If I was to go tiny I would love this set up the full size bath and fridge and washer dryers
I love love love the bathroom and bedroom...I'll soon be part of the tiny house movement and I got some great ideas from this beautiful build...really nice and functional and thank you for sharing 👍🏾
I love it. It's beautiful
This such a wonderful design, one of the best I've seen, love the bathtub.
Totally agree!
Lovely home.
Amazing tiny house
That tiny house was beautiful
cute build but rmb when tiny houses were actually tiny lmao
very beautiful and very amazing
Best tiny house ever love it
I really liked this size and layout of this tiny home very well thought out
Very nice layout
I love this
Really well designed. It’s a comfortable home, with all the necessities and some luxuries as well. Very nice!
A perfect tiny house !!❤
Your videos and designs have greatly improved over the years. Great work. Good job. Keep the faith!
This is a great tiny house! I love the bathroom bedroom format and that each space is somewhat secluded but open too. I love the bathroom setup b/c there’s a full sized tub!!!! With shower and toilet 😍❤️. I would definitely live in this tiny home!
Amazing!
Thank you Marco! Cheers!
Such a beautiful and practical tiny house..I just love it 👍🙂
Súper funcional y me gusta la distribución 😍
Love this one. Great design.
Where is the storage area for clothes?
You could have one of those bed frames where the mattress pops up on struts to access the storage underneath.
I’d convert the linen closet in the main bedroom to hanging + shelves for adult clothing, and use 1x4 or 2x4 cube storage upstairs for kids’ clothes. Maybe a couple wall hooks.
@@ajay97005 Yes,, of course. I just figured they would have shown the clothes storage area. Surely, I'm not the only one curious about that.
@@StephanieJoRountree It looks like they traded a deep clothes closet for a stackable washer/dryer and a huge refrigerator.
The space under the stair/ladder serves the function of a closet, as he mentioned during the tour, also spotted a little closet in the bedroom in the back... It is an AirBNB, though, so you only need enough for a short stay...
I love this design so much!
Perfect.👌🏾😍🤗
I love this design so much, when can I move in?
My favorite one yet!❤
This is ALMOST perfect! Personally I would need a bit more clothing storage, especially if my husband wants any space. Lol...And I'd maybe find something a little more cozy looking for the living room couch and a bigger TV perhaps mounted a little lower.
Now, this is a tiny house I could definitely live in, with a room you can stand on, standard size kitchen and appliances. I would get rid of the TV wall and make another huge window though. Great job! 👏
Yes this is what I want exactly beautifully done
Very very nice.
Absolutely love the outside of the tiny house but I wish some of that creativity was added to the decor on the inside. The inside felt like it needed a little more fun! Beautiful home either way:)
Love it.....
This one’s very nice
Love it :-)
Looooooove it!!!!
Gorgeous house and some really clever uses of space. But is there some unwritten rule in the tiny house world about mounting your TV waaaay too high? Every other tiny house I see has the TV at a height only a giraffe would appreciate.
Yea, I thought that was just a North-American thing. Never seen anything like that in Northern Europe at least.
Probably just beacuse space and in a spot where its just "not in the way"
@@liam11001 I can't speak for Canadians, but LOTS of Americans have their TVs above their fireplace mantles in their living rooms, and thus seem accustomed to looking 3-5 feet upwards.
Yes, nothing like making your eyes, neck, etc. ache with trying to look at a TV
@@karlwheatley1244 But in a regular sized home, your TV isn't ~5 1/2 feet from you, so you don't have to strain you neck as much.
Great tiny house. Definitely my dream tiny house
This tiny house looks amazing and what a smart design!!! ❤️👍
Very nice layout. However, where do you store your clothes? Perfect for a weekend getaway when you can keep your clothes in a suitcase
that sofa is comfortable lol
To that one special person reading this: May you be protected and blessed beyond your wildest dreams for all the struggles 2020 put you through
What a thoughtful thing to write! Thx.
Drink a shot everytime he says nice :) AWESOME house xo
I must say it's just wow, i wish i could have one.. MashAllah love from Pakistan ❣️❤️💕
I love this house. This one would be the one I would choose for myself. I've seen so many. This one would be the one I'd pick.
You need a matching love seat in the living room to make it look like a L shape couch for more seating. But really nice.
This is my favourite tiny house
