- After seeking solutions for housing their son when he returns from the Navy, Nate and Christina fell in love with movable tiny homes and set out to design a tiny home that even the average home dweller would live in.
This McKenzie tiny home is the first model for Motley Construction LLC, owned by Nate and Christina Parker... Builder + Designer duo located in Coburg Oregon, and you will quickly see the thoughtfulness with every step of this build.
First, much research was done to design this tiny home's exterior to conform to zoning language that was being adopted throughout the US stating that the exteriors couldn't have metal siding and must fit into most residential neighborhoods.
With board & batten siding and vertical shiplap siding painted in SW Origami White, black vinyl double hung windows, and cedar accented porch, it is sure to fit into a variety of neighbors that allow THOW's as ADU's.
Nate's focus was on quality building throughout and ensuring this home would be complimentary to the level of construction services Motley Construction offers their local clients. Building to NOAH ANSI+ standard and the IRC Appendix Q code for ADU construction was adopted.
You will see this in the framing, professional electrical install, skylight egress, handrails, utility accesses and many other safety features in this tiny home.
The interior is where Christina put her interior design experience into action with attention to function, spacial planning, material selection, lighting, and kitchen / bath design. Each space gives the feels of a cozy home retreat and although you are living with less, you feel like you have a higher quality of life.
This tiny home is completed and ready for transport.
If you are looking for a tiny home with elevated details and quality building practices, Nate & Christina will walk with you through each step of your build. Contact us today!

You might want to rethink that microwave placement. While it seems like a great idea, in actuality it an accident waiting to happen.when you place a microwave above shoulder height, you lose sight of the back edge of the dish/bowl/plate obscuring your ability to hold it level and 9 times out of 10 you unintentionally tilt the dish towards you & often resulting in hot food falling towards your face and upper body. Better to put it in a slide out drawer or a pull down lift.
Will absolutely keep this in mind. Thank you.
I also was thinking the microwave was a bit too high. I wouldn’t care if it were seen- would just want more convenient placement.
@@lisaa.1136 sadly I had one placed up like that in a class C and continually spilled hot food on myself until one day I got it on my neck & chin. Left a scar so I ripped it out and put it lower. Why I didn’t do the first time I got hit I don’t know.
Or one can use a step stool as I do in my home.
@@rhargrow8399 I’m 65 with 2 knee replacements, step stools are not in my wheelhouse any longer and even if it were juggling a plate/bowl of hot food without two feet firmly underneath is still not ideal.
It would help if you filmed a consistent walk-through all at once so viewers get a better feel of the flow of the space. I know each room well but I don't know how the rooms flow in relation to each other.
Hats off for humidity control! IMO Lunos belongs in every tiny using water or propane indoors, or with inhabitants that breathe. What an attractive, functional, thoughtful design. Appreciated getting a no-nonsense tour that covered every detail at an efficient clip. Well done! A very promising start for Motley Co.!
Thank you for your kind words!🌺
I love the hidden microwave. The whole house is beautiful.
Thank you ☺️
I’m very short and hate hidden microwaves as they are too high for me to lift out hot food.
I love the house, but I wish the bedroom was a tad bigger.
Someday, I’m going to find a well laid out tiny home that’s only a single story. No stairs and no lofts. I’m just too old to crawl across the bed or around some storage area on my hands and knees, not to mention I’m claustrophobic, and this type of sleeping space just does not appeal to me. I do like that it’s on a 50 amp service instead of 100 though.
We’re currently designing a tiny with main floor sleeping. It’s looking good!🤓
@@motleybuilditbeautifulExcited to see!
Then why in the world are you even looking at tiny houses???
It’s a pretty model, however, when you talk about certain things like the floors, you can’t really get a good idea of what they look like. You need to do a long shot.
We will try and capture the floors better on the next build. Thanks for the feedback 🌺
@@motleybuilditbeautifulThe same goes for shots in the bathroom. Especially shots of the toilet area and the storage shelves beside the washer. Additionally, the whole home seems geared to younger people and those who are not weight challenged. Passing into the eating nook was tight, and turning around in the toilet area looked tight too. Especially for someone that was wider in the hips. It felt the same going up the stairs. You are by no means weight challenged, but you didn't have very much space to spare when climbing the stairs.
It was good there was standing area on the one side of the bed, but climbing in and out with no way to get fully around the bed can be problematic, especially for owners that aren't agile as those in their 20s or 30s.
I loved the style and all the natural lighting. And the cohesive look of the artificial lights was cool too.
I don't know if it's just me, or if this home didn't seem big enough to rate the title of luxury except for fixtures and finishes.
Agreed!
Also, when you talk about the cupboard by the washing machine we can't see it at all.
I really appreciate that there are so many different styles of tiny homes for any variety of uses, personal tastes & budgets. This one is absolutely beautiful and will be perfect for the person or people who want a tiny home, but yet wish to pay for more upscale features.
This is a very beautiful tiny home. There are two things I would like to see in your designs, a place for garbage cans and a pull out pantry/spice rack storage. Other than that wow I love it!
Great ideas! That’s why I love customizing tiny homes… so many different options. 😊
This is SOOOOO my style. You had me at “West Elm”
This is really beautiful! I personally would have liked to see it at 10.5 wide and that space next to the refrigerator (if it were a bit wider) could be used for a pull-out pantry, but great job all! This is gorgeous! Love the tiles, love the thought that went into the stairs and the loft and especially love the kitchen 🙂
We would love to build this to 10.5’ wide. Love your ideas!
This is really beautiful and I love the details that you've taken such care and consideration to add. We moved into our 5th wheel with our 7 yr old daughter and 180 lb Mastiff 😅. The one thing about any RV or tiny home is the washer and dryer. The combo's are horrible and never get your clothes dry. Other than that, this is a beautiful build😊
This home is beautiful. One thing I would love to see is an area for a stackable washer and dryer. I have heard quite a few negative things about combos so I’d rather have two separate units. And I like the idea of it being 10.5 wide. Love the standing height closet. I would like a few cabinets in the kitchen instead of just the shelves, maybe a combo of shelves and cabinets. If they’re placed just right maybe it make it look like a tight space.
Love the feedback. Thank you 😊
From what I've read. the higher-end models of combo washer/dryers do a better job than the lower-end models, for whatever that is worth.
What about the washer and dryer in one single unit, don't have to transfer clothes from one unit to another anymore!!! Sorry, don't recall price 🤔🧐😣💥
I do love the standing height closet and the digital entry. There are so many things to love and consider about these homes. You guys do a great job of putting everything together. I'd like to see more!
I don't know why I haven't seen this channel before but y'all have a new subscriber here 😊. We're actually looking to buy a tiny home here in Oklahoma. Great design guys!
I usually don't like lofts but this one I like I actually love everything about this tiny home 😊❤
Thank you!🌺
This is a stunning home! One of the most beautiful tinies I’ve ever seen!
Great design..... I became hyper focused on the three dents on the refrigerator though🤪
Very nice can’t go wrong with west elm, crate & barrel, zgallerie about time someone made a modern tiny home instead of rustic log cabin box👍🏽now if you could do a mid century modern and ultra glam bling home👍🏽
Thank you!😊
Omg! Sweet! Loving that stove/cooking surface idea. Maybe a roll top door for the microwave so, one can choose to keep it open... Can't imagine what this whole thing costs.. but, it is Fantastic!
Thank you for your kind words!🌺
really nicely designed home...even the loft space seemed accessible by an older person... "throughout the US stating that the exteriors couldn't have metal siding" -- I HAD NO IDEA THAT THIS WAS A LEGAL ISSUE...there are many homes being built with metal siding and i assumed that metal siding was actually better than wood/composite siding...
We found this out when we were looking at code in LA. We were surprised too!😮
It's a luxurious home for sure! Packed with quality fittings throughout! It's a real home but it's built for towing by a TRUCK I'm guessing? The one thing I'd change is those lights in the bedroom. Due to limited space I'd change those to recessed lead lights that dim for obvious reasons! ❤🎉
I agree about those lights. They are beautiful, but take up way too much space. Overall love the home though and so much thought went into it. Love the tall wardrobe closet! Cozy living room and nicely upgraded kitchen. Beautiful!!
Love the focus on safety!
Nice home. Would have liked to see a full shot of the living room.
We’ll try to get that shot on our next video. ☺️
Beautiful & we’ll organized tiny! Love it! Good job on both look & design
Beautiful home! I would love for you to tell the price of this home, so we can compare other products.
darling livig room!
Exceptional attention to detail and finishes. I think this is the most tasteful tiny home I have seen!
Thank you 😊
Hello, Such a beautiful space & very well done. I have one suggestion, the hand rails are a great idea - but maybe add a return to the wall on each end so that no one catches a sleeve on it & ends up falling. Great job though, a beautiful space!
Beautiful space. Be sweet if you offered a gooseneck model. The additional space could be a master bedroom with the loft serving as an office space, or a guest/child sleep loft.
Your tiny house has so many great features, I love it! Well done 😊
Thank you… 🌺
When speaking it is imperative to ditch the repetitive “um”. Thank you for the attention to detail. Great product you both have delivered.
Thanks for the feedback. I’m sure as we do more of these tours, we’ll get better. 😉.
You showed it quite well! Kudos to you!
Nice tiny home plan. You did a good job being detailed. Even caring to put air intake and air outtake to prevent mold.
Thank you 😊
Very pretty tiny home. Would like to actually see the cabinet/shelving next to washer-dryer combo. The closet seems a bit too shallow but nice height. Also, where is the toilet and what kind is it? Important information. :-)
Hey Lisa, our website has more pictures and a full list of details that I think will answer your questions. Hope that helps☺️
The exhaust / microwave is GENIUS!!!
Lovely indeed!!!
Thanks for the undermount sink in the bath! Allows for much more efficient counter space & easier cleaning!
Really beautiful tiny home but 1 suggestion, cut out the "Um's." I was going to turn it off a couple of times because it was said so many times.
Beautiful, especially ceilings and lighting.
Glad you are pulling out that moisture! Excellent
Lovely tiny home, didn’t notice a toilet anywhere. I would prefer a stacked washer and dryer, haven’t heard may good reviews on the washer/dryer combo.
I absolutely love this home. There has been much thought and research put in it to make it such a wonderful place. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your great models.
😊 thank you.
Very nice home! Looks to be well built and tastefully designed!
Thank you ☺️
I love this! Those appliances...very cool!
Beautiful job on this model...great attention to detail!
Thank you 😊
Nice thoughtful design. 👍🏼
Thank you!😊
Absolutely gorgeous!
Gorgeous!!!
Vary nice work
Gorgeous
Fabulous!
Gorgeous! Great job!
😊 thank you🌺
This is lovely. I like the colours, the brightness, and the details to quality.
Very nicely designed. I have often wonder how you make the bed in such a tight place?
Absolutely gorgeous!!
Thank you 😊
Very nice. Looks well built.
Thank you.
Oh I want one just like yours. It is the best tiny house I have ever seen, and I have looked at around 100, give or take a few. Too bad your talented husband, Rob, does not come up with these great ideas and put them into a book. I would certainly buy it, because I don't think you want Rob traveling from job to job in who knows what state. If he shared some ideas and a description of how to do it, people like me can either do a pitiful version of it or accomplished people can maje their tiny home so interestingly beautiful. Just a great job of designing your home together. Enjoy your tiny home and we all cannot wait to see what Rob comes up with to make your oven stand out on the back deck!
Beautiful ❤❤
Thank you! 😊
Good design 👍
Thank you!
Great job!!!!!!! 👍👍👍
😊 thank you.
Gorgeous home
Thank you!☺️
Just Great All The Way Around, You Two Will Do Well In This Business. Good Luck. Glad I found this and subscribed. MC
Love the entry!
😊 thank you.
Nice!! 💜
Thank you!
Just wish their was a bdrm on lower level queen size but luv all else 🫶🏽🙏👏
i like where yous have the loft bed that was good idea 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸⚪️⚪️🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣
I see this a lot, not sure why Tiny home and RV builders are not providing outside security covers for water, gas, and power? Especially the water inlet needs to be covered and locked protecting the inlet from tampering or contamination. Also- are manufacturers actually testing the all in one laundry machine? I’ve had one, and mine didn’t clean or dry very well. That would be a bummer to be stuck with that only option.
Tiny homes are a great idea but far too expensive for what you get…
The only thing I don't like about the bathroom is. They did not put the brass gold looking around the shower. It's silver, and it cheapens that bathroom
Not having the sofa across from the tv is a dealbreaker. Having to look sideways is impractical.
I would prefer cabinets
Time for WWD40 on that door! Yikes! 😳
It's pretty. I'd like to see it decorated once someone starts living there, though, so it has less of a staged feel and more of a home feel.
Couldn’t agree more… can’t wait until someone makes this tiny house a home. ❤
Beautiful. Where do you get the flooring and how do you make that bed?
Love this model!!! I love the luxury look!! I notice you agree to 10.5’ model. Is it possible to design a 40’ home? No loft but main bedroom on the ground?
That would be so awesome and if they could open up the bathroom a little bit more wider they could do acombo spa bathtub inside of the shower 🧼 that way you have 2options of cleaning up ❤😂
Nice but no table??? For lunch or dinner???
Very beautiful, but where was the toilet? I didn't see one.
I always wondered about the tires. How long do they last? Do you have to check tire pressure?
This tour was tricky to follow. I couldn't even tell how you got into the bathroom and I guess it was the first door to the left leaving the kitchen? Made it feel really cramped.
Was wondering if the space to the right of the small refrigerator would allow for a larger capacity fridge? Also, it opens so close to the opposing countertop, that you have to open it up wide to get into it. I'd rather have closed cabinetry, and my microwave exposed. Just me, I guess. I would have chosen a larger fireplace as well, given the size of the wall for it. Otherwise, love the appearance and overall open feeling.
I use to live in Coburg and I loved it...I would love to move back....I lived in my motorhome at the Premier resort ...I didnt like that so much the freeway was so noisy ...I love this home except the living room area I would like the fireplace and TV right across from the sofa ...my motorhome had that same thing and it was so uncomfortable trying to watch a movie ...do you do the whole build or contract out? I know someone who had water damage and it was such a hassle because they contracted out and had to go back and forth on who and how it would get fixed and it took months and months . So I am being careful who I buy from. And also if something were to go wrong under warranty do you send someone to fix it no matter what state or do you have to bring it in?
The closet in the landing doesn't seem like it would fit hangers.
Also is that the only closet for clothing? 😬
Guys, this home is gorgeous! It looks so well designed and comfortable! 10/10!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
sooooo CUTE wow 🔮🌟🌟🔮🌟🔮🌟🔮🌟🔮🌟🔮🌟🌟🔮🔮🔮🌟🌟🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🌟🟣🟣🟣
Was that a full sized bed? Will a queen mattress fit? Beautiful home!
You can fit a queen size mattress. ☺️
❤
If you guys built van conversions I'd be the first customer
Something to think about for sure!🤓
what is the cost of this beautiful tiny house?
KILLS me when people think A PULL DOWN SPRAY NOZZLE is some kind of BIG DEAL!!!!!!!
hi, if we want a bathtub is that possible to put in there?
4:30 is when she goes through the front door
How much is it? I am in love! I want it!
Imagine, a tiny house with no toilet 😂
That would be funny😄. This one has a gravity flush toilet. More pictures can be found at www.motleytinyhomes.com
The pantry should be style pull out drawers for like build as is we would have to get down on Knees to see what is in the back no very useful
So this unit remains on the wheels, so it wouldn't require barely any building permits if you were putting in on the property you already own? Also, what's the time range of the maintenance for the wheels and trailer bed?
The trailer is steel powder coated…. It’s going to last awhile. Some attach the chassis to a pier pad system and then remove the tires. Others just place a skirting around the base. You have so many options.
So how much is this model as is? + what’s the difference not only in cost for a base model, what does that take away?
It’s absolutely beautiful & inviting. ♥️
Great questions for sure! Reach out via our website and I can email you!😊
Can a tub/shower option be installed?
If we can find one that will fit the space… YES!
Where are you located?
It’s a loft not a bedroom it’s a crawl space
I wish they’listed prices.
Can we view the floor plan??
