I’ve subscribe to your Chantal and I think yours the best Uk Chantal and like to know when or are doing anymore thanks Steve from Redcar
Superb kit just on its own with 500g of malt.
Wow. I can imagine this brew to taste amazing but very sweet and possibly quite sickly after a couple of bottles. Nevertheless I can't wait for the bottling and tasting video.
I think all the honey and sugar will do is cut down on the bitterness to be honest, but like you say will have to wait and see as I have not yet tried it yet, next review should be wednesday for the dak velvet stout, can't wait to give that a try :)
I fill my air locks with vodka 👍
1.066?? Oh boy that's gunna rock your socks off.
Can't wait for it to come out. The 2 websites I usually use are brewersfriend dot com ABV Calculator and myvmc dot com Standard Drinks Calculator. First one gives me a good ABV off the starting and final SG, and the second tells me how many standard drinks per bottle, so i can let people know how many beers put you to a point of not driving. (Although typically it's if you have 1 of my beers, don't be a nob and try to drive).
Great vid mate. Thanks for sharing.
After drinking 9 bottles of that sweet newkie brown last weekend I think I will guess 1 of my beers also & no driving after that :)
I will check out them websites, cheers for the info mate.
Great smells from that coopers kit when I was mixing it plus it tayted a lot like coffee, hope it turns out well. It turned out strong but not overpowering on the ABV scale & will be drinking some tommorow as this video was done weeks ago and they have been sitting in there bottles over a month now.
Glad you liked the vid mate and a beer test will be coming up this wednesday for the dark velvet stout :)
need two packs of yeast at such a high gravity.yeast will be under stress and will not ferment fully and may have off flavours. good luck.
Worked perfect for me, cheers :)
Hiya just bought a home brewing kit and the vessel is basically a bucket with a lid...I have brewed my beer and put the lid on loosely. So oxygen can escape. How essential is an oxygen value? Hopefully mine will be okay with a lose lid 🙄. Any advice much appreciated.
I've just made a Cooper's Irish Stout Kit using 1kg of extra dark DME and 250grm of liquorice and a extra strong stout/porter yeast..
sounds very nice mix there, let me know how it turnes out.
With 18 or 23 liters of water?
ive only made one stout a stout with vanilla beans and Cocoa Nibs, had a really nice flavor to it was the biggest beer in terms of flavor ive made. And i normally dont drink many darker beers. It was not the most alcoholic thats my belgian that is still drinkable 2 years later somehow lol.... 14%
Did you have a slow fermentation on this as mine only made it to 1022 on day 7, so left to keep going
Cant remember, it might say in the next video of this brew, but off the top of my head...no idea..
Lol it's a blend of coffee and chocolate
Bit to much sugar
PLEASE SPEAK MORE SLOWLY! I CAN'T UNDERSTAND YOU ACCIDENT!!
