Aw I love that Emma is always there supporting Ryan. This was actually a really funny monologue and I love how he actually broke at the piano part because it made it even funnier.

Because it's cheap, unearned laughs. SNL used to keep straight faces and make the material itself earn the laughs. Unprofessional.

And yet vaping has been around for decades. Only harmful when drug deals create fake juice and the government is trying to shut it down. But smoking on TV is ok for kids. Strange

Since Emma already played Sally Bowles MASTERFULLY in Cabaret, I would really love to see her do it again with Ryan as Cliff because I think he would be absolutely perfect and those two obviously work really well together!

La la land actually saved me though. I always did a little bit of jazz before I saw this movie but once I watched the movie, jazz is all I play now. Whenever I’m feeling down I just sit down in front of the piano and play. It’s always a good distraction too. I’m always listening to different types and It helps me in every way and I’ve come to love it.

Best SNL guest improv/intro since forever. Ryan Gosling slayed. He kept composure most of the time despite the raucous crowd reactions; episode laughkilled all the way through. Damn good job Lorne Michaels.
