I believe black thorn morganna was so much a better skin and better splash art before.. it was classy and very promising skin. Also ore effects and more special in game. I believe they should keep the old splash art and put more effects on it in game. To do the justice of the skin. However, i am generally very happy on how they treated morganna.
I E 100% agree as i have the skin and actually got it in 2014 when i started the game because i loved the splash art
The reason why they had to change Blackthorn's splash art is because it's now in the same universe and a versus skin against Viridian Kayle. You should check out the full splash art with Viridian Kayle. They did the same with Exiled Morgana with Battle Born Kayle too. I agree that the old splash art was more elegant but the new splash arts now have stories and I kinda like they did that.
I like the old Blade Mistress Morgana better than the new one too
I agree I had the skin before hand and when i saw the changes they made I was so upset and disappointed also that battle born skin was so lazy

I have, lunar wraith, blade mistress, ghost bride and bewitching Morgana. All of them looked good except for the bewitching one, it looked more of a downgrade than an upgrade

I never played much of Morgana pre-rework but man they REALLY screwed over some of the old skin owners. Blackthorn and Ghost Bride in particular are barely a shadow of their former selves.

old ghost bride was way better.. was one of my fav skins in the game, I may ask for a refund on that skin. no joke. new one looks like shit. and the "stone" wings move??? and why do the wings come out of her hips now... wtf

Had I started playing League back in Season 4. I would have gone through hell and back to get Victorious Morgana. Unfortunately, I started playing League back in Season 7 :(

New Blackthorn feels like a downgrade. And it's a fking 1350 rp skin. Not good.

the skin is not finished yet! Riot said they would be adding the falling leaves and new sounds/new death animation. They are also recoloring exiled morgana's abilities to match the red/gold tones of her skin.

I am completely heart broken from the rework. Mainly with the dress, wings and dance. Morgana has always been my main and it kills me to come back to the game after a few months to find her completely destroyed. :'(
Ik this is old but nothing much really changed other then the skin and animation which is better now cus before everything is stiff if u still crying about it till now grow tf up cus this is better
Y'all stop complaining. It could've been WAY WORSE. Like removing everything and making her a new character COMPLETELY all the skins gone and Even Her Wings gone! Its a deserved Rework for this Amazing yet sad character

I came back to the game today after being gone a long, long time. I was surprised but not bothered by the update to morgana overall. But the Exiled skin... Ok, so finally they updated the colors of her spells so they're firey (not shown in this video actually) and that's cool. I love that. BUT! I can't with her hair! WTH riot? I swear she looks like she's got a flat top...

I do like what they did to the wings, they became too heavy for her to lift, but god damn does the old one have a feel to it. Yes, the sad look does make her look a bit emo, but the head... constantly down. You can feel the shame, embarrassment and regret. She doesn't want to look anyone in the eye, but in reality, she's too afraid she may look at Kayle by accident.
While the reworked versions have more animations overall and more exclusive ones... The overall design suffered. The various details on the dress being gone, replaced by what looks like a feathery tail?
Also the effects looked better in the old one.
Not to mention the unique animations being overall better (Blackthorn death, ghost bride recall)
i love the fact that original morgana turns from a Gloomy Gothic teen to a more mature elegant adult, still dark though lol..
They should have made the new ghost more brighter

I'm not a fan of what they did with her wings. They don't look like wings anymore. I had several skins from back in the day that just don't look good anymore because her wings are basically gone.

Came here because this week is sale for blackthorn Morgana and was considering buying it but I see it and my reaction is WTF it had been fucking destroyed. Oh yeah let's fuck up old skins to make people buy new ones. Riot Games needs more money. Great finance strategy, I'm out, and I really atm regret spending any money on this game, who doesn't even pay respect to players spending money on it, completely deliberately ruined both splash-arts and spell animations, unbuyable

Morgana was needing better wings and skirt movement. And stop looking to the floor. But she have lost the charming image she had. Now she look like a strange mix between Cassiopea and Ahri.
Her best skin (Corpse bride) is horrible now. Only Blackthorn skin is better now.
