      @Lenox Croix
      I have no problem with straight guys not wanting to date trans women. My problem is when they claim trans women are not real women, which is transphobia. And, in almost EVERY case of men not wanting to date a trans woman, the fact that she is 'not a real woman' is the reason behind it. I do believe that there are 'super straights' who aren't transphobic. Maybe they won't date a trans woman because she hasn't had top & bottom surgery, and therefore not physically a woman (though they are women). This is not a problem.
      I also thought it was necessary to point out that afab, cisgender, feminine women do not all have XX chromosomes, and amab, cisgender, masculine men do not all have XY chromosomes. Chromosomes are all different, and believe it or not, your chromosomes might not even be XY. You could never know until you get it tested.
      Please do the research before spreading transphobia

    • @randommeowthekitty6482
      @randommeowthekitty6482 Před 3 lety +11

      @Lenox Croix
      As I said before, not all assigned females at birth have XX chromosomes, and not all assigned males at birth have XY chromosomes, and biological factors can make them be the opposite gender on the inside, even if they are not on the outside. Transphobia is defined when a person believes that a trans woman is not a woman (and is a man on the inside, as you just said), or a trans man is not a man (and is a woman on the inside, again, as you just said). That's what transphobia is. That's why you are considered a transphobe. But again, I have no problem with you not wanting to date a trans person; my problem is with your transphobia.
      And it's spelled 'chromosome', by the way.

    I like how he brings up chromosomes. As a biology student, I generally learn a lot about chromosomal abnormalities and disorders. There’s one disorder called Kleinfelters syndrome (I think that’s how you spell it), and the person has XXY chromosomes. They have XX like a female, but they also have XY like a male. So what gender would they biologically come under? This honestly got me thinking. What are your opinions on this?

    • @alienplatypus7712
      @alienplatypus7712 Před 3 lety +56

      [Note: I have no higher education in medicine or genetics, this is just my general knowledge and casual research. Also I will be referring entirely to the development of bodies, not brains here.]
      The sex of a body is typically irrelevant to X chromosomes. As longs as there is at least one, the body can survive, and may be either sex. Assuming the body can survive at all, as long as there is at least one Y chromosome the body will be male.
      So:
      XX: female because no Y
      XY: is male because Y
      X: is female because no Y (but typically infertile)
      YY: will be a failed pregnancy because no X
      Y: will be a failed pregnancy because no X
      XXX: is female because no Y
      XXY: is male bacause Y (but typically infertile)
      XYY: is male because Y
      Here's what's interesting: XX males and XY females do exist. Named de la Chapelle syndrome and Swyer syndrome respectively. Both are often caused by abnormalities in one of the sex chromosomes, causing it to partially behave like the other. In theory these could coincide with a different chromosomal disorder, causing more weirdness, though I know nothing of this beyond the hypothetical.
      It would sure be weird to see a "Super Straight" person go out with what is undeniably just an infertile cisgender man just because he has XX chromosomes but there you go.

      I'm fairly sure that the sex of a child is not up to chromosomes, but rather the SRY gene, which in rare cased can fall off a Y chromosome and attach to a X chromosome. so it's sort of like the structure of an atom how we found one thing as fact until we found more specifications, then the meaning of the fact changed.

There's been a lot of debate about this in the Asian community, but basically what it comes down to is that it would be bigotry to say "I don't date Asian men because they're not real men/aren't masculine enough," because you're dehumanizing them/denying a fundamental part of who they are. Like if you ain't into it, you ain't into it, but you don't got to add the caveat that they're somehow lesser.

      @allyli1718 Před 3 lety +2

      @Haven Monahan And if you think that trans people are lesser or that they really aren't really their transitioned gender, that's the definition of transphobia, because you're literally denying an immutable aspect of who someone is. People who argue that gay people chose their sexuality are homophobic, even if they don't necessarily hate or want to obstruct gay people. You don't need to hate trans people to partake in transphobia.

      Like I'm not gonna say Jammi is not a real man just because he's not cis. Just look at him lol. There was a reddit that One Topic viewed over and it talked about how saying something is "basic biology" can't be true. Because biology isn't basic. It's very complex. In fact what I learned from that reddit was that a female could have male hormones (and vice versa). Also there's many different variations of chromosomes. Yes there is XX and XY which is considered male and female but there's a whole bunch of others like XXY, XYY, etc. So not only are the "super straights" going against trans women and just trans people in general, they are also going against women who do not have an XX chromosome. (There's also a small minority of women who identify as super straight so this applies to men as well.) All in all going against a group of people isn't right. They are transphobic (as well as sexist in some cases) and making something up like "super straight" doesn't stop making them transphobic. They still are.
    Here's a not really fun fact but rather a realistic one:

      Dysphoria makes a person trans. You can say your trans and not know what dysphoria feels like but still have it, or you can do all that but NOT have it. It’s a point people have been trying to make for ages. I understand your frustration lmao.
      Some people can’t transition because of income, or perhaps they just have no access to the stuff they need.
      Some people know their trans but have no diagnosis, and feel happier as another gender.

    Lmao there’s so much support in here I love it! Then there’s some transphobes sprinkled at the very bottom, hm kinda like they weren’t invited to the party but they decided to come anyways and ended up arriving late haha.
    Anyways so many of those transphobic comments can simply be answered by “lol no” and the aGE OLD QUESTION: “bro why r u here in the first place?” This is a lighthearted trans video by an awesome trans person for trans-supportive peeps. Do you have a Batman Spotlight in the sky that makes you get up, pick up a briefcase, look at your watch and say “Dam it’s Be Transphobic O’clock already?”
    Welp I’m too sleepy to argue with dummies rn. Anyone else can if you’d like, just make sure to fact check babe, don’t give them anything they might misunderstand and spread. See y’all later when I check this thread again lol

      preferences for genitals and biological kids and stuff like that is ok. preferences for not dating post-op trans people just because they are trans (not because they have different genitalia) is not ok.
      edit: preferences are ok, dude. chile. what's not ok is transphobia and literally saying trans women are men and trans men are women. what's not ok is basing a whole sexuality off of transphobia and ignorance and then making it a trend to the point where trans people in schools are harassed and bullied because people are "super-straight" and believe trans people are gross because they are trans (something they cannot control). what's not ok is you saying that you identify as a transphobe in a certain way that makes it seem acceptable to our blind society and then passing it off as a joke while at the same time wanting to be in the LGBTQIA+ community. you are straight. you are not super straight. you are gay you are not supergay. theres no such thing as superstraight. i don’t see how people don’t understand that being cisgender and heterosexual + heteroromanitc makes you *NOT* a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. i don’t understand how someone can willingly be transphobic just because they can't control their ignorance and want to take out their insecurities on others. stop bullying us because of something we cannot change, we aren't trans because we want to be oppressed. *stop begging for oppression* what is fun about oppression? being illegal in 70+ countries? being able to be k*lled in 12+ countries for being who you are? being bullied on a daily basis? being harassed? being r*ped? being fetishized? being called slurs? being beaten up? being unaccepted? being called a disappointment? being kicked out of your house? having s*icidal thoughts because of unsupportive people? being literally *terrified* of living in a town city state province country *this world* because of the fact that you're LGBTQIA+ and anyone could hurt you because of it? *do you really want that??*

I am close with three trans people, all ftm, and one of them I would date in a heartbeat (I can’t cause he has a boyfriend) because I love his personality and his physical appearance, but the other two even though we are all close we are just friends because they aren’t my type.
