  • Metal Vivaldi performed by NUS Guitar Ensemble as part of Aventura, held at School of the Arts, Singapore, on 31 March 2024.
Metal Vivaldi, composed by DANROK’s bass guitarist Yuudai Hatanaka, alters melodic motifs from Vivaldi’s Concerto in A minor (RV356) while including techniques idiosyncratic to the guitar, such as the Niibori Rhythm Method, giving the piece a “metal” flavour. In this way, a Baroque concerto is transformed into a modern, energetic chamber piece that demonstrates the technical skill and flexibility of the performers.
    Composed by Yuudai Hatanaka
    Soprano: Ng Se Kit Ethan
Prime 1: Kaylee Therese Poh Di Er
    Prime 2: Peck Chin Yun
Prime Cembalo: Izz Muhammad Bin Ahmad
    Bass: Ivan Yoong Cheng Yoong
    Guitarron: Zhang Peiran
