You should build the SCX10 1, 2, and 3 leave them totally stock. Pit them against each other in a series of challenges and see how much the platform changed with each iteration for the better or not! That would be cool don't think anyone has done that yet!

I agree the UMG10 was discontinued ahead of it's time. I wasn't that interested when they came out but they just seem cooler now for some reason.

I have two Axial trucks at the moment. A 24 JLU and a Basecamp. The BC is a full on custom build: Proline 66 C10 body, 3D printed bed (with extras), Amazon tires, and Vanquish clone wheels. I am also just getting into 3D printing. Snagged and Ender 3 1S Pro. I'm currently printing Jerry cans for my Basecamp. Thanks for all the ideas!!

Matt as always your collection of axial vehicles does impress, like many others I missed out on the unimog that’s about the time I got hooked on RC , there are many reasons why we all enjoy the hobby and you showed a bunch of them

I love my UTB18. I haven't swapped out wheels and tires yet, but I did front brass portal covers, upgrade links and added in 4ws as well. To enable 4WS I swapped the ESC for a Hobbywing 1080 brushed ESC and a Spektrum receiver which works really well in it. It's a lot of fun to drive with the 4WS, well worth the effort that converting it takes.
I want an SCX6 Honcho all kinds of bad, that'll probably be my next buy.

Very cool axial collection. I owned many axials in the past but the only axial in my current collection is a scx6 honcho that I bought used but was never ran the other day. My wife drove it and now wants a scx6 jeep for herself. So guess that'll get added to the collection really soon,lol

Great collection, I think the steam powered 6x6 is my favorite SBG build - EVER (well, that and the Postal Truck)! I don't care how quirky this build is, I love it! I think you should take it to whatever events you attend this year and let people see this up close and personal so, they can appreciate the engineering that went into this!!!

Totally, unfortunately, builds of that caliber can take upwards of a year to complete. It's hard to make the time these days! The CUCV will be next!

You should make your own brand of paints....call the brand Matt paints, including colours such as Texas sky blue, and make paint sets like a military set and a weathered set.....I would by them.......Josh could design decals and call the brand Josh sticks,........BTW they are both free I don't want any payments 😆 😜 😂 .

Yeah I am a bit of an axial fan. LMAO Love ALL my rigs and you're right The Basecamp has got to be one of the best out of the box rigs. Love mine. That being said. I think axial improved with each rendition of the rigs they put out. Also got both scx6 rigs. The Honcho is WAY better crawler that is for sure. Great video Matt

I've been curious how you mounted the controller in the fuel cell on the ryft for the lights, as its completely sealed unlike the receiver box.
I cut a hole in the back to allow wires to pass through. Thanks for watching and hope this helps!

Indeed it was! But the skid is designed to allow it to fit, I did need a 90* adapter for the dog servo though!

How do you keep the vanquish shocks from leaking? I spent extra money for the aluminum caps and collars and nitride shafts assuming the shocks would be good, but they all leak terribly. I was really disappointed with Vanquish and their shocks.
A little green slime from AE does wonders on any leaky shock.
