Great flight! Half Moon Bay is just over the hill from me. You guys scored a great little hole for that approach. Nicely done!

Mike, indeed we were fortunate with that little hole. Thanks for watching! Wayne

Making an approach to minimums look easy, great video!

Justin, there was some good fortune, adrenalin, and (as you know) a great digital autopilot/flight-director involved 😀.

Fly into Half Moon Bay many times VFR, so this was fun to watch

    Glad I found your videos!
Yesterday I watched your Alaska videos, simply awesome.
It’s nice to see other pilots get out of the traffic pattern and see the country.
I fly a Cessna 172, I’ve flown it to Martha’s Vineyard, Sedona Arizona and Gulf of Mexico.
My next trip will be San Diego.
    Thanks for sharing!

Bud, you've already flown to some very nice spots... Alaska on the horizon? Thanks for watching! Wayne (DA40 KSBA)

Great video. I did several tries at the RNAV-12 at Half Moon Bay last night. Had to go missed both times: 300ft and still in the clouds (I expected this; it was just practice). It's really neat that this piece of airspace is right alongside jet traffic coming out of KSFO but it's actually really quiet here. Just obey the altitude restrictions on the missed and you're really alone out there...

Brian, I agree that it is a very cool, quiet piece of airspace. The marine layer here in Santa Barbara has also been dense and persistent the past several days. Enjoy! Wayne (DA40 KSBA)

Wayne, you produced another one of those flying videos I enjoy so much. Some really nice IFR flying.

You Californians have all the good IFR weather! Here IFR = ice or TS, otherwise it is CAVU with 30 knot winds. Makes it tough to stay IFR current let alone proficient.

Jim, you are absolutely correct. With some exceptions (the Sierra, Trinities/Cascades) we have "lovely" light IMC. Thanks for watching! Wayne
