Thank you. I'm finding I only 3 putt when I'm faced with long 20+ feet downhill putts. I'm too timid with the first one. If it's uphill no problem, but when it's downhill I'm afraid to hit it. I'm going to practice these drills and the 3 to 1 ratio. 😊
This will help...I try to think about the distance and let the weight of the putter do the work and try not to think about "hitting" it but just the distance ratio and tempo and it feels like I'm hitting it softly, but it goes the distance. Takes a little practice but it works
Good tips, that practice green is by no means smooth. According to Shot Scope, I need to improve a lot on my make percentage of 4-6 feet putts. Any of your video's you can recommend?
Yes that practice green is bumpy. The video from a week ago on putting it straight every time is a good one
I am intrigued by the Honu putter. I am an engineer, so the logic makes sense. Why do you think more professional golfers don’t use the Honu?
Honu doesn’t have budget for sponsoring a pro to play their putter. And there’s a limited supply because they make them from recycled Bamboo flooring and each head is handcrafted by a surfboard craftsman. They want to sell as many as they can of course but haven’t made a big push. As an engineer I can certainly put you in touch with the engineer who developed the idea. Shoot me an email
The guy’s ratio was at best 1 to 1. Perception versus reality?
This concept was new to him. He was more than 1:1 and less than 3 but it is perception vs reality. Thing is it worked for him from the first try.
