Was there a lot in 80s and 90s. An hours drive from ollerton. Skeggie is just a brill place to visit.

Love this place! Mainly the nostalgia of it, my grandparents had a caravan in ingoldmells since before it was what it is today, and I’ve been going since I was born. I’m now 29 and with the passing of my gran last month this’ll be the last year we’ll have it. It’s funny because April will be the second time in 5 months I’ve had a holiday in Japan, I’ve recently done the US, Canada, and a few places in Europe, yet I still love going and having a weekend in Skeg 😂

As a born and bred Lincoln chap, I love Skegness. Sadly there's been more assaults, murders etc than anywhere else in the county in recent times.

Lincoln is a good place although I am biased. Really split into 3. Uphill area with the cathedral and castle is beautiful, middle part down the hill is bustling with pubs bars and shops, and then you cross the train tracks and enter crackhead central

As a kid in the 60's - 70's we spent every year in Skeggy, 44 Scarborough avenue behind Uncle Toms Cabin.
Down in the pond with our little yachts lol.

@honestplaces yeah I've not been to these places, I've done most of the south seaside resorts as I'm London way, like hemsby which is like stepping back into the 80s, but I'm really enjoy ur uploads its a good insight

I went to barnsley in yorkshire on Friday to meet my friend I was very surprised how clean it was I expected it to be a right shithole but I was very surprised it had a market plenty of shops a mall everything you could want we went to a bar called the channels the beer was bang on and the food was some of the best I've eaten . I'm going bk in 4 weeks for a Saturday night seshon booked an hotel in the centre .. looking forward to it

I live in Sheffield and have family in Skegness. I still love and prefer Sheffield as there is more to do. Skegness is OK. Ingoldmells will be a bit boring.

Ramsbottoms, near Skeggy clock tower, best fish and chips in England.
Went there a couple of years ago to Butlins, pretty depressing, but £3.50 a pint of Guinness not bad!

Skegness. Mostly full of heavily overweight smokers from Middlesborough and Sheffield. I once visited out of morbid curiosity, and couldn't escape fast enough.

Grew up not far down the road in Chapel St Leonards. There are worse places to grow up and there are good honest people there but I have to say Skegness is getting worse every time I go back to visit. I believe the ward of Boston and Skegness is still the only place in England that does not regret Brexit according to a poll a year or so back. Tells you a lot about the area and how deprived it is.

You know what makes me laugh. People talk about how crass and grim these places are. How big the signs for cheap alcohol are, how it’s like Benidorm. You do realise, these places are catering for Northern people 🤷🏻♂️. Yup, that’s Manchester people, Sheffield people, Doncaster people (the worst). I mean the list goes on. You lot literally chug this shit down. At this point I just have my head in my hands.
