  • Dedicated to my Brother
My brother is leaving to university next year, I’ll really miss him.
My teacher told me to write a chaconne as a challenge during the summer holidays, I came up with this. It’s not 100% a chaconne since it doesn’t follow all of the rules, but I think it’s close enough to call it that.
The piece starts with an introduction using the four chords that are used throughout the whole piece.
Then the first theme comes in. (which was very obviously inspired by Chopin Prelude op.28 n.24)
Transition using the same arpeggio like in the introduction to major section which uses the main theme and a new second theme.
First theme comes back but a lot stronger and then a coda.
I really like how this piece turned out so I hope you like it too.

I find it quite impressive Tim, that you found the inspiration to write a full piece and play it with emotion.
