Bravo Tim!!! You play this incredibly well!!! I fantasise about learning it myself, just did an abbreviated Military Polonaise which is a piece I fell in love with age 11 and am now 45!!! Yes, you cover all the moods of this pianistic three-act opera very well, whether its the romantic dreaminess of the midsection, the playful comical section or that firey Coda where pianists fear to tread!! I can hear all the hard work youve put into learning this and it sounds amazing!! Well done again 💜🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹
very nice altho there are some moments that need a bitter more practice but i enjoyed listening to this a break lol from moonlight sonata 3rd mvt been practicing it non stop for 4 months
I don't know how long you studied before publishing this performance, but overall you're in a really good place, from time to time you tended to slow down a bit (especially in the coda) but well done!
Good job and good luck for your competition !
Very nicely played! Be careful not to speed up or slow down too much, 2:20, 4:40 minutes in were some examples which should be a bit faster. A bit of work on octaves as well could be useful. At 6:40 be careful with not having the left hand too loud. Left hand arpeggios are nice and smooth! Coda: all the notes are there and dynamics are brought out, I would focus now on increasing the speed, it needs the speed and energy to really stand out!, as a whole, great work!
Sounding really decent! I would say probably try lowering the bench just a tiny bit. Knees should be about or just slightly more than a 90 degree angle or so - I feel like you might be slightly too high possibly. You don't look uncomfortable or anything but I feel like just a tiny smidge lower you'd maybe have a bit more leverage. And don't be afraid to really get into it, and make sure you're not being too finger-centric. If you're using Hanon, make sure you're not using it for its stated purpose so much (sometimes I warm up with some Hanon). There's only so much fingers can do without the wrists and arms and rest of the body. That being said it doesn't look like you're being too hard on your fingers though which is good. Just keep at it and keep staying flexy. That said I suppose to elaborate on what I mean by not being finger-centric, just like, try to see how much of individual chunks or runs of notes you can get into like, an arm or a wrist movement for instance where your fingers hardly have to do much, for instance. Just kind of making piano playing movements bigger but also keeping them efficient and purposeful. Since you've got a good touch with the fingers already, just sort of experiment with that sorta stuff. Or just sorta don't be afraid to move around more in general.
