- Low brace turns are one of the smoothest and safest means of making carving turns in a sea kayak, both on flatwater and in current. In this episode of Sea Kayaking TV, we look at how to perform a smooth and confident low brace turn.

I have watched a huge number of different people demonstrating strokes, most think themselves experts. I find Ken Whiting really knows his stuff, he is my point of reference for my own technique, and I have pointed several new paddlers to his clips.
Many thanks Ken

You make a good point, that's what I was thinking, too. Low brace is more brace than turn.
Great tip!
Once you get the boat turning, edging it either way will help the turn, I came to sea kayaking from river boats were for me edging into the turn is the natural way to go.
I'm a little confused as to why the paddler leans into the turn -- shouldn't the weight be on the outside to allow edging to assist the turn?
that way works, but you'll end up on your face if you're in any current like that opening shot
