My favorite part of every sardonicast is the passive-aggressive spats between Ralph and Adam.
I want more of that lol. In which other episodes does this happen?
@@nabetse1999 the one where they discuss Martyrs. Adam was extremely passive aggreisve and condescending towards Ralph for not liking the movie

After hearing that Midsommar is Ralph’s favourite movie of 2019 so far I really want to hear it discussed!
RazorEdgeFrisbee 26:14 (on my phone) and me too, so far!
Maxisamo1 it’s worth checking out, if you haven’t already. Horror is my favourite genre by far, and Hereditary really did it for me. Easily one of my favourite films from the past few years and really well crafted. I thought that Midsommar was really beautiful, though I agree Hereditary is the superior film.
It’s def more for a normal audience, pretty standard issue horror with some unique visual flair and interesting story elements. But at the end of the day it’s just another college kid vacation slasher with a mediocre script.
Serena Celestine midsommar is a horrible horror movie, good drama, forget about the marketing of it being “horror” then you’ll enjoy it more
It’s just not a great movie. It relies on stock characters while not being a movie that necessitates using them. An Eli Roth film uses stock characters to subvert and enhance the genre while Midsommar is a confused mess using them for no apparent reason other than familiarity. Why do we need the comic relief or the brainiac stock characters? We don’t, it’s only because it was a script for hire scenario that had the Eli Roth slasher elements baked into it.
Looking back at adum hearing the kimba-lion king controversy and looking at adum now with the kimba video is so satisfying
I don't understand what you mean..? ;/
@@nagi159 did you hear adum talking about kimba in this podcast episode? Have you seen his more recent kimba video?
Last episode I was in Ralph and Alex’s corner. Today I’m so far in Adam’s corner. Death Proof is so, so, so good!
Yeah the girls weren't supposed to be likable, thats why they show you close ups of the gore and literally replay it, to see all their deaths. It's clearly intentional. Idk why Ralph expected something different from this. It was pretty obvious where is was going.
It’s interesting that Ralph felt that Jackie Brown was considered a favorite in Quentin Tarantino’s filmography when I’ve normally heard most people discussing it consider it to be one of his weaker films alongside death proof
Yeah I guess he meant it's underrated and that it aged well for some since.
I’d say it’s his best, first time seeing it I was expecting a (for a 17 year old) mind blowing experience like his other early works but as I’ve gotten older I’ve had less and less interest in revisiting those but absolutely love JB more and more every time I’ve seen it. Such a masterpiece to just throw on at any time in the background.
I don't think Ralph's to outlandish with this point on Jackie Brown. I always hear famous movie makers talk about Jackie Brown being amazing
Jackie Brown flopped when it came out. It wasn't until it was released on DVD in 2002 that most even saw the movie or gave it a second chance
I'm not surprised when anyone says its their favorite the film's reputation has only gotten better with time
I would say its one of the least famous and talked about however one of the most liked at the same time
Absolutely agree with adum about Death Proof.

@@expendableindigo9639 Ralph thinks its one of the best films of the decade
@@TheTrueDetective Adam liked Fury Road
It's funny to hear Adam talk about Kimba pre his Kimba video.
I think Death Proof was meant to suggest that two Stuntman Mike movies were stitched together.
Shogun Assassin (a Tarantino favourite) is actually the first two Lone Wolf and Cub movies edited together.
PS: Just watch the originals separately; they're great.
So you're saying Shogun Assassin sucks compared to Lone Wolf and Cub?
@@CharlieA24 I think Shogun Assassin could be considered a classic in its own right.
Q and A questions:
1:14:37 - Tell us the story of the founding of Sardonicast. How did it happen?
1:16:06 - With the Lion King back in the spotlight again, are you guys, especially Adum, aware that the original Lion King is accused of being a ripoff of Kimba the White Lion? It features shockingly similar characters, themes, shots, etc. Matthew Broderick even admits that he thought he was originally making a movie about Kimba. What do you guys think about plagiarism in movies and how much influence can a filmmaker take before it becomes plagiarism?
1:21:27 - Okay, since we're nearing the end of the decade, we gotta have this conversation. Favourite movie of the decade so far (They also talk about the worst films of the decade, as well as the underrated and overrated films of the decade, the most surprising movie and the most disappointing movie of the decade)?
1:42:42 - Are there any movies that you would judge people for liking?
Mark Parkinson thank you!
I would judge you if you genuinely liked Catwoman.
Thanks 👍

A Person that’s my second favorite movie involving cats
I love how Alex just lets Ralph and Adum debate back and forth and then occasionally interjects with a convincing argument. That’s not shyness, that’s thoughtfulness.
the kimba the white lion chat, little did Adam know he would blow the whole myth out of the water
Yeah it aged like milk
Dammm this is awkward, I thought Death Proof was very well made and entertaining movie. Pretty much agreed with most of what Adam said. Great dialogue, unique cinematography, fitting music, fun action, tight editing. I don't think comparing it to other Quentin Tarantino films is fair. Tbh, I didn't like it on my first watch but it really grew on me.
I agree with Ralph and Alex about the first half, but once the first girls die in that crazy crash, it saves the film and redeems the first hour. Way too bad ass of a last act to say the whole movie is "bad".
You’re supposed to hate the first group of girls. I feel like that isn’t taken into account enough.
@@conneroneill8506 knowing that you're not supposed to like them doesn't prevent the first half of the movie from being a mostly unenjoyable slog imo
James Bellefleur ehh, it’s different for everyone, I really like the first half. Look at lard von trier movies or something, there usually aren’t many likable characters.
Also pretty much every Tarantino movie starts with a alot of dialogue. Hateful 8 (especially the extended cut) is just an hour of people in a stage coach. What are the factors that make the first hour of this one so unenjoyable? The characters/dialogue isn’t interesting? I’m just really curious because I love this movie and was always confused by people not enjoying it. It’s Tarantino doing a B horror/action/car movie in his style with an almost all female cast. It’s so awesome. What’s not to love?
Adum talking about kimba is this podcast is so funny in retrospect
I’m on Adam’s side with Death Proof. I find it boring in parts but when it’s good (car crash + car chase) it’s really good. It feels like the emulation of a movie that had such a low budget they could only film a few “action” scenes and had to have the actors just sit around for rest of the run time.
This feels like the Mission Impossible debate but for Adam instead of Alex, pretty great
I'm glad they addressed The Rock being the world's biggest baby on Twitter whenever something doesn't do well.
As Double Toasted said, "That boy sensitive."
I swear, if I hear Ralph say "johnra" one more time..

Hi guys, I know you probably won’t see this but I just want to say thank you for answering my question and i’m sorry for how layered it was haha. I know it’s not THAT big of a deal but it really made my day when I heard it on the podcast. I’ve been going through a lot lately which has lead to a lot of depression and anxiety on my end and I haven’t been having a very good birthday week so I just want to say thank you guys for what you do. This podcast has helped me cope in a lot of ways with that depression and anxiety because I just feel like i’m just talking to my friends about movies just dipping out of the outside world for a little bit and it’s more therapeutic than you may think. So thank you Ralph, Adam, and Alex. Thank you for not only making my birthday better by waking up knowing I had my question answered even though it was buried in the reddit thread so I had no idea it was going to be answered out of all the hundreds of questions asked, but also just helping me cope even if you didn’t know it. Also sorry again for my very long, layered question haha. I really thought we should discuss of the best/worst of the decade!!!
It's hard to claim anything made by Edgar Wright is underrated considering his immense popularity in the filmmaking scene, but I'm always surprised how often The World's End is overlooked compared to the other cornetto films. It's my personal favorite, so I guess I'm glad to see it get a little recognition from Ralph haha
Maybe it's because I know Wright runs on almost no sleep when making a movie, but World's End feels tired to me, like he's coasting on his experience rather than doing something that feels fresh. Especially, I found the first fight with the blanks really dull.
Yeah, The World's End is kinda remind me of some Richard Linklater movies.. I love how all of the characters are having a conversation, and then the way the movie is getting crazy crazier is such a blast...
It is absolutely insane to me that Ralph and IHE dislike Death Proof so much
It's garbage.

I chuckled at that callback. I always keep thinking of Eli Roth enunciating that name with a posh Italian accent in Inglourious Basterds.
MARG-HE-RITI!
im with YMS about death proof. ralph expects too much from tarantino just cause he is who he is. i think being such a big fan of his makes death proof fall short for him. he puts it best at 53:39 i think.
Yes how dare we expect directors to make good films, thats very inconsiderate!
@@randomguy6679 lmao
I always find weird that Ralph has the brigthest insights and most refreshing thoughts about movies and cinema in general... on his channel. And in Sardonicast he always go full Jeremy Jahns saying the most mainstream bro normie movie reviewer comments on everything. Just for Adam to call on his bullshit lol.
ikr? Sometimes Ralph has the most normie take on a film and then finds something like death proof "taking itself too seriously"?? Can't understand it lol
Once someone stars yapping about "misogyny...." They lose interest as they often just spit modern, gender theory as viewed by angry lesbians....
ralph has always been a normie. he got all his clout from shitting on dc and it doesn’t take a genius to realize the early movies were absolute trash. especially since rlm was already making videos about them too
I fuckn love death proof
I like Leo in The Departed
Jonah Simpson Probably one of my favorite roles for him. That film is excellentttt
Key word “like”. He’s never been a GREAT actor and never will be. He’s just not natural on screen in my opinion, you see the seams.
Conner O'Neill Yikes... terrible take.
Ok “johnny cocksville”, with that name it’s a little hard to take your opinions seriously, but ok. He could never stand up to a Phillip Seymour Hoffman or a Joaquin Phoenix or a tilda swinton. He’s a nominally passable actor or as the kids would call him a “tryhard”. He takes roles that are beyond his depth and can’t do an accent to save his life even though every role demands one. In once upon a time in Hollywood he stutters to imply drunkenness, no drunk does that. Being a successful actor since he was a child probably messed with his head and made him think he has to be this great character actor when In reality he’s a slightly better Matt Damon or Ben affleck. Granted he is fine, but nothing more.
Conner O'Neill Damn, why the little passive aggressive sensitivity there in the beginning? Does DiCaprio give you ptsd or something? It’s not that serious little man. And his works like The Wolf Of Wall Street (which is probably his best performance), Shutter Island, Django Unchained, even What’s Eating Gilbert Grape shows the levels he has of being great actor. And your point of “no drunk stutters like leo did” is beyond stupid. A depiction of a drunk doesn’t have to be 100% realistic. Hell this fucking movie has Brad Pitt smoking a Joint with LSD in it which is not possible (even adam brings this point out in his review). So why is DiCaprio’s false imitation of a drunk equals one of your points? He does a good accent in this movie/most of his movies and even in Django which he got snubbed for to which everyone agrees his performance was incredible there even if he had such little screen time. And your last point of using Leo’s success messing with his head is just plain idiotic and an assumption. Shame on you.
Hearing Adum talk about Kimba and The Lion King like he does here is so surreal now.
Oh my god so this is the start of Adum making a months long saga on Kimba the White Lion?

How can one Ralph be so right about Once upon a Time and yet so wrong about Death Proof
The concept of opinions is lost on people
@@randomguy6679 That's a cop-out, mate.
@@spenser9908 opinions?
I'm with Adam 100%. I wasn't bored for even a second.
You guys should redo Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. It's kind of a shame that you could barely get into it because you were avoiding spoilers and I'd love to hear all three of you talk about it in more detail.
I love when people are like "Planet Terror was way better than Death Proof at capturing the grindhouse feel" because it lets you know that they've never seen a grindhouse movie before. Planet Terror is what people THINK a grindhouse movie is like when they see posters for em. Death Proof is so much more genuine and accurate. In terms of recreating the feel of a grindhouse film Death Proof wins by a mile. So many of those movies had lots of scenes of characters just talking and only really had one or two big death scenes that were essentially their money shots. Death Proof really captures that but elevates it.
Tarantino often talks about "hangout" movies and I think this is a great film in that category. The characters are incredibly fun to watch and listen to and personally I like them all more every time I rewatch it. In fact, I'll admit that it took a while for this film to really grow on me but it gets better every time I watch it. The action scenes are spectacular too but I don't want to spoil them in case someone hasn't seen it yet.
Basically what I'm trying to say is that Ralph and Alex are nitpicking and biased, I win, bye bye.
You'd think after 6 years of Red Letter Medias "Best of the Worst" show people would be familiar with the fact that these movies didnt have the budget for much more than ling scenes of people talking in the same two or three sets and maybe one good action sequence.
In that sense Death Proof is closer to feeling like those movies. Though I doubt any have stunts as insane and impressive as Zoe Bell on the hood of that car.
The thing is people weren't expecting a hangout movie with this. They were expecting something like Kill Bill again. That's why people dismiss Death Proof.
Wow Derek got so butthurt he even got rid of the original Cool Cat
You guys forgot to mention Love on a Leash under the best films of the decade. I’m really disappointed that you guys forgot to mention such a masterpiece.
Death Proof was awesome man. It just felt like an homage film and why Alex and Ralph try to treat as anything other than that is weird lol. I get it, it's not for everyone and not everyone has to like the same thing, but yeah.
Speaking of which, Hollywood does felt like a Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown because it's more of a drama instead of being ultraviolet Revenge Story or any spaghetti western genres. I can see in Kill Bill, it's more of a anti hero who faces the enemies and becomes either samurai and western genre. Also each Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained, and The Hateful Eight are exploited types of spaghetti western genres which make it groundbreaking and have a style of western formula and have a unique bloody action film.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was NO Pulp Fiction in my opinion. Dialogue wasn't as sharp as in Pulp Fiction. I mean there were sharp moments in dialogue(Rick's moments with the brilliant child actor in his day shooting that one Tanner episode/some of Cliff's one-liners) but they didn't drive the film like in his best.
I would say this is more like Jackie Brown in a way. Characters trying to catch a break (whether making a name for oneself, shaking off/living with a bad reputation,or just trying to run away with half million dollars).
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is a good film but it's not among Tarantino's best work.
So, is this the inception of Adum's Kimba video?
Jason Johnson has come out and stated that he didn’t take down the Cool Cat short out of spite, but because he believed Derek was genuinely being dishonest by dubbing over old footage of him, he’s going to do one more interview with Super Media Bros on August 14.
He has also stated that he will never play Cool Cat again, and he refused to do the Cool Cat school shooting movie because his fiancée has a friend who was a victim of the Columbine shooting and was left wheelchair bound for the rest of their life, and he felt it would be distasteful
I love the first half of the film, I love getting settled into the tone and the setting, I feel like I could chill at that bar any day of the week.
I agree about death proof Adam. For once I dont agree with Alex completely and Ralph is on another plane of existence than me with that hot take he's giving about the dialogue. I definately think his interpretation of death proof is a little odd.
I am finding myself more and more wondering what planet Ralph is from the more I hear his film opinions lol
Yeah, but I prefer this kind of episodes with differents points of views instead of the normal agreement that exist in the podcast
@@Farfaramir Totally agree. It would be boring if they all agreed all the time, hence why these three make a great group for the show.
I find Ralph's strong opinion on Death Proof is weird given how much he loved Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
I completely agree with Ralph for what it's worth.
Commentating on this years later, but Death Proof makes me cry due to being so awesome... Tarantino is the goat
I really don’t understand what Alex and Ralph wanted out of this film, ESPECIALLY Ralph. It feels like what they’re saying is that they just wanted more out of the characters and the story and the fact it doesn’t really go anywhere, even though as Adam explained multiple times, that is LITERALLY the point. This is just a fun, meaningless B-movie and that’s the entire point. In neither half of the film are there the most fleshed out characters or series of events in the world, and it’s not trying to be anything else. I’m not sure how you could even attempt to interpret this film in any other sense besides that. Ralph said it was boring and that the dialogue was bad and then gave no examples, even though it’s probably just a personal preference thing.
I also don’t understand how they could think that the second half was better than the first in terms of acting and character. The characters in the second half are just as fleshed out as the first and I truly believe that the only reason they believe that the acting is better in the second half is just because the characters in the second half objectively have more crazy shit to work with and so their acting is on another level than the first. The writing of the characters in the first half doesn’t seem to be as obvious as in the second half, either.
A lot of the things they criticize are also things that Tarantino has done in other films, like a loose plot structure, almost purposeless dialogue, references to other films, etc. Besides the criticisms of it being boring and not interesting, I have no idea what it is about this film that they hate. It’s clear that they misinterpreted the film and their positions were so muddled to me. And some of the time they didn’t even acknowledge Adam’s points which were either very valid or just right.
Also, Ralph’s little rant about Weinstein has nothing to do with the actual quality of the film and like Adam said, there is still a creep producing the film regardless of Weinstein’s involvement.
Anyway, rant over lol, if anyone wants to enlighten more on their positions, because my confusion still stands, I’d be happy to hear it :)
About the film's point being drawn out and going nowhere, to quote Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw: "If you want to smear shit on your face to make an ironic statement then more power to you, but you'll still smell like arse." Ie. the fact that Tarantino made the movie deliberately pointless and crappy doesn't make the film itself any less pointless and crappy. I absolutely loathed Death Proof the only time I've seen it, because I was expecting something like Machete: a nonsensical, over the top splatterfest. What I got instead was endless talking, talking, talking, unlikable characters and a tissue-thin plot that went absolutely nowhere at 120 mph. Had it been under 90 minutes instead of over 110, I might have a very different opinion about it. Granted, I'm not a Tarantino fan (I absolutely can't stand his meandering pointless dialogue, and Kill Bill is insufferably indulgent), so all the things you say he does in his other films too, yeah, those are problems for me, no matter what film they appear in.
I don't understand why Ralph wanted to take this movie so seriously. Like of all the very conventional movies he likes because the are "fun movies" he doesn't like this one? I guess there wasn't enough action for him....
Tuomas Vanne Yeah like I said, it just comes down to personal preference. I don’t find Death Proof boring in the slightest and I think it’s a great Tarantino film. His style isn’t for everyone :)
@@bartholen "Kill bill is insufferably indulgent" piss off.
Maybe they just dont like that genre of film or that tone? They are allowed, you know
As soon as Adam brought up Southland Tales I got excited for when he would recommend it. Thank you, Adam! I love you!
I love when Ralph is just awful it makes for a very entertaining dynamic between all of them.
I know, right? Like, I've really grown to dislike him quite honestly but i feel like that makes the podcast more entertaining at the same time. xD
Innovade I love his nervous laughter every time Adam says something that makes more sense then anything he vomits. He just gets under my skin when he does that laughter shit to let them know how silly there opinions are and they make absolutely no sense as opposed to what he believes which is always right. I love it. I typed all this cause it provoked me lol.
@@urilaf8598 Yeah, he really annoyed me in this episode especially. The laughing thing is starting to piss me off. It's weird because i feel like some of the stuff people complain that Adam does are things Ralph does a lot more but he's kind of... more subtle about it? I dunno, i try to chalk it up to him just being really young because he's also incredibly naive which is another thing that annoys me constantly.

Why do characters need defined goals and arcs? And why are characters lacking these things considered bad? There are plenty of characters who don't have character arcs that are great characters. Saying characters who lack agency are bad characters isn't enough. Why are they bad characters?
A theme is a very subjective and loosely interpreted (mostly) part of storytelling. I always thought Death Proof was one of Tarentino's most underrated films. Not for the theme, but because it is an almost flawlessly executed subversion that doesn't detract from the story it's trying to tell and this makes it an engaging, thrilling movie. Hereditary was probably the last movie I felt did something like this properly.
Characters without arcs typically are in supporting roles because characters like the audience embark on a journey if they're our lead. I think it's wrong to say that characters without agency are bad or don't have arcs. There are plenty of stories where a character is effectively at the mercy of the story and by the end they still reached an arc because they become molded in the image their world built for them.
I don't really like Death Proof that much but I think it's wrong to think there is no arc. The arc is in Stuntman Mike he's the main character imo, one who is undone by his actions and punished by his story, literally being molded into roadkill for dramatic irony
@@SavedAndConfused I personally think this is the first (maybe only)movie of his where the secondary characters actually FEEL secondary, even utterly and literally disposable. Mass amount of good dialogue are wasted on these utterly secondary characters. And to do that in a Tarantino film,it's unacceptable.
P.S. That thing you said about Stuntman Mike's arc gets completed when gets molded into roadkill was pretty clever.
Hey Ralph Antonio margeretti was a real life director the Tarantino admired and used his name in inglorious basterds for fun but used it to set in the time period in once upon a time in Hollywood just a fun fact

Ralph and Alex clearly have never seen movies like Vanishing Point or Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. Death Proof is an extremely misunderstood movie.
My Thoughts exactly.... This flick screams 70's "road" movie....
I saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood almost a week ago and a still think about it constantly as oppose to most movies i saw this year. It's sunk in on me and i think it's one of my favorite Tarantino movies now.
It's funny. Adam in the Q&A talking about how "the Lion King seems to have ripped off this Kimba movie"
Only to fast forward 10 months and now Adam is a leading authority on Kimba the White Lion.
Hitchcock's Psycho has that protagonist dying half way through structure
That's too mainstream for Adum lol.
After hearing Adam mention watching death proof in a group. I want a mystery science theater version of them watching B movies. With an Alex puppet and Ralph puppet. Stuckman can be the villian.
Randall Abernathy :0
With Moviebob as that doormat of a henchman.
I think the final chases are some of the greatest sequences Tarantino has ever shot. Death Proof is definitely his least best film but I still get entertainment out of it. I'm glad Adam shed some light on the more positive aspect of an often overlooked film.
“Least best” the word you’re looking for is worst
'Antonio Margheriti' is a reference to a prolific Italian genre filmmaker.
Adam sure is fascinated by a lot of things
I watched dead proof with 2 other people and we all fell asleep 😅 we were high tbh, had to watch it the next day again
I watched it high with friends once too, one of my freinds freaked out during the first car crash because he had survived a bad car accident years before and I didn't know. The viewing did not go as expected...
The timen when Adam still hadnt take on kimba and wasnt sure if it was a copy
I have been asking for you to review Southland Tales for years Adam, I am stoked to hear what you guys think.
Death Proof has great dialogue! Fuck what Ralph and Alex say. I'm with you Adam.
So from what I understand, Ralph and Alex are wrong...
Not wrong, they just have a different opinion
I love Ralph but sometimes he just flat out says things that aren't true lol Anyone who has seen both Death Proof and Planet Terror, regardless of what you like and don't, know that Planet Terror had WAY more fake film damage effects, scratches, cig burns etc. to make the film stock look older. I mean its not even close. Adum for sure, in my opinion, has a much better memory and general film knowledge then Ralph and even if I don't agree with Adum's taste sometimes, I always appreciate how he explains his opinions and he feels much more passionate about why he feels the way he does. Adum schooled the boys on his Tarantino film knowledge IMO. End of rant. Still love you Ralph you hack even if i dont believe you watched Death Proof again for this episode.
Ok, now that I finished the episode, Death-Proof a 9 and Once Upon a 7?? I take back everything I said about Adum..............;-)
@@juststained Just switch the scores around and call it a day.
I personally rate "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" a 7.5/10 and "Death Proof" a light 7/10.
Southland Tales sounds interesting, Imma watch that.
Lol coming back after the Kim a video is really funny.
34:00 In Psycho (1960) the main character dies halfway through and we get a new main character.
Scream and A Nightmare on Elm St. did this too.
Thank you, it’s frustrating the shit out of me that Adum keeps saying that no other film does that, yet no one brings up that one of the most iconic and influential films of all time does exactly that. It’s just weird to me that three guys more well-versed in film than I am couldn’t bring up the first thing that came into my head.
overlookers
Scream was kinda ass tho. I loved how Shaggy from The Scooby Doo movies was one of the killers tho
To be fair it's only the main girl who does 40ish minutes into the movie while Death Proof has the whole cast being murdered
@@radiationbacon I mean, it's not like there were many characters other than the main girl at that point.
The restaurant should be called Uwe's Bowls
I agree with everyone on some level on death proof so it was seriously interesting hearing them explain their opinions
Uwe's Bowle Movement - Bar & Grill
1:16:06 that question would go on to be the bain of Adam's existence
I noticed Once Upon A Time In Hollywood took the time and soundtrack from Bad Times At The El Royale which took the concept of Hateful Eight only with more likability for it's characters. Kinda ironic.
(My favorite Tarintino films, which I love them all, are: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Inglorious Bastards. Jackie Brown and Death Proof are my least favorites and I still really liked them. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was fantastic.)

Lots of comments about the story structure in Death Proof. Did you notice the stroke of genius slight of hand that Tarantino employed there? Death Proof was presented as an alternate reality grindhouse flick. In the heyday of that genre, prints were often recut after distribution, and then continued to circulate. That's what happened to the movies Deathproof "print". The unhappy ending was cut and put at the beginning of the film, so that the original "beggining" becomes a happy ending. You might think I'm nuts, but I'm actually right. Watch it again and watch carefully. You'll see; it will all snap into place.
mbarbarelli are you saying that the “ original” cut shold have ended with mike killing the girls but at halftime he was beaten to death by other girls?
Mike got killed in the end so that HAS to be the end !!! Sorry but you are wrong on this one
