  • A trip into the fabulous Tarkine wilderness in NW Tasmania. Walk through rain forest trails to visit waterfalls. Visit Corinna on the Pieman River and take a cruise on the Arcadia to the wild Pieman River heads. Visit old goldfield sites and the wild west coast at Couta Rocks and the End of the World at the Arthur River.

Loved the video. On my last trip only scratched the surface of this magnificent wilderness. Next time will stay longer and would love to drive to Corinna on the western track and take the cruise on the Pieman River. Great work

barely any jobs. all goes to machines. hardly any of the value goes into the population destroying it. the veneer factory milling it is malay owned, and Australian tax payers bail them out every year... they sell the veneered old growth as 'sustainable timber' to japan. the old growth logger interviewed said by clear felling they are 'bloody well destroying the forest' they used to selectively choose their timber... not anymore they clear it and transpoevaportation goes up so nothing can regrow like before. what about jobs of scientists and people documenting this place... you saying all the tourism jobs don't matter the thousands of jobs matter less than the few people machining the place to hell? wow great job mate wise words. jobs and growth. lol. sucker.

Yes we walked in the rain with our umbrella up. This was ok where the track was wide but a bit awkward when the bushes were close.
Have a look at my OverlandVMTC video to see more of umbrella man Rex.

Was the closer view of Witham Falls (40 seconds in) taken from the road or was there some serious walking involved?

This is WILD! And i like the happy guy walking in here and there, he's cuddly.
When it was raining, did you protect your camera with the umbrella only?

We will probably welcome all visitors, like the Californian, Chinese, Indians Pacific Islanders, Europeans that came for the Gold, and displaced the original owners.
