What's terrifying is that there are so few comments, there should be 1,000,000 all saying no way is this going to happen.
Don't blame the Chinese. Blame our greedy politicians that allow it.
How will this be stopped?
People Power again. Time to rally the citizen troops again.
For the love of God *DON’T SELL OUT AUSTRALIAN!* You’re better then that!😮
What a shame and travesty to destroy these magnificent breathtaking forests!!!
Our government is a disgrace!!!! We most definitely need to protect our beautiful land.
Correct the Labor government!! Full of BS they are.
Places like this move me to my soul, such beauty, it needs our help to survive....
People with plenty of time on there hands, tree sits, especially in areas of the Tarkine Under threat, then on to next spot tree sits will stop all development tree sits is the answer
Terrible why do we need foreign countries in other peoples land, I live in the uk, were it is the same all about greed, profit above anything else!!
OMG...I cannot believe this.
Discusting.. 💔
WTAF????? It's up to us the people to protect our Environment..our government and those worldwide have proven they aren't capable of protecting anything but their own pockets.
Hear hear
Oh how I remember being in Tassie back in 2001/2 ish and seeing the devastation of the forests!! I was furious then for what was happening............. and devastated that nothing has changed since......... PLEASE Australia - WAKE the eff UP!!!!!!!!!
Go. An do it in your own. Backyard ! ! !
Imagine how pristine that forest wouldve been in the 80s, i thought van diemens land and cradle mountain 😊 was the phenomena.
No. We’ve lost too much. Koalas in NSW have had their habit cut up. We are loosing species at a rapid rate. We are loosing the barrier reef. Enough. !!!
Thank you 60 Minutes and Bob Brown for starting the resistance.
@@boltang you wouldn't have a clue
@@boltang Way
Our native aussies the Aborigines need to help protect our land more
Ultimately, Australians sold out on themselves. Most Australians probably don’t want this bullshit to go ahead. Hell any rational person in their right mind would reject this abhorrent project. But at least a few people will make themselves mega rich.
*We have to protect Tasmania´s rainforest for the sake of humanity...it´s the left lung of the planet...besides the Amazon...the world must protect them...*
It's travesty to see that gorgeous precious spiritual place. But we can't blame the Chinese. Australian governments have destroyed this place for profit. Why is Australian policy and laws allow for Chinese to own Australian land to destroy. I blame Australian government for this not Chinese.
What do you mean 'what a shame...'? How typically pathetic. It MUST not happen and we will NOT let it happen. THAT should be your attitude. WHAT can I do about it?
This cannot go ahead. I enjoy gold and opal prospecting and I support mining and manufacturing ... But this magnificent wildness needs to b preserved and pleberseck needs to show some guts!
The mine and the logging should be stopped immediately.
Are even Australians know this? Bloody shanme on the government who is allowing to happen this.
This is disgusting
How can this be still happening?
Labor would doze the lot if they could, fill the Tarkine with ugly windmills and solar panels. People have short memorys its not the LNP its the labor problem!
Not to worry. We are spending $32million/day on AUKUS and in 30 years our new nuclear powered subs will really make those Chinese reconsider their actions!
So…Do we the people control the governments, or are we letting them control us?
Since when did Australia have a great big river?
Such a shame 👎
Milne and Brown more worried about deer than traitorous politicians
Tanya will do as her boss Xi tells her
No no, its not your minds to decide its should be ours. arrigont b. I wish people would kick both parties out and start again
Well done Claudia (Lieferando)... ;)
No War new from,
Yeah our government looking after the environment FFS ....Politicians are all for $$$$$ above ALL ELSE!!!!!
The ALP was in power in 2008, they will let the destruction continue.
who got shares in that mining company ??NO AUSTRALIAN PEOPLE OR THEIR SUPER FUND !!!! ... be real .. who ever own that company and develop that mine , . the responsible are " AUSTRALIAN" .. full stop .. assume your political choice , stop just to blame others countries who ever they are ..Australian are the ones who allowed the land , water, to who ever wanted to buy and exploited it ..
And then the Chinese use that mine to become a military base in apart of their takeover of Australia, i have read WTWB
How is this possible the Australian government need to ban mining without permission and they must say no. We need to follow the money I know many politicians are being paid by the Chinese. If we lose this then we need to go to war and take back our country it’s sick and wrong.
Are governments voted in to represent the people or is it a lie
A university student would be lucky to get a pass mark for a report like this. What would the dam damage if it overflowed? How viable is Bob Browns alternative location for the dam? What is the impact of logging vs mining on the area in question (ie is the overall dam impact likely minor compared to ongoing logging)? Probably the answer is "We didn't want to get into any of that, we just wanted to stoke the China hate fires."
